What do you think? Any solid alternatives at this price point?

I have this great little tent, used it a couple of times and learned lessons from each experience. Firstly, hanging a lamp on the hook is pointless because you’re always banging your head on it, so I placed my lamp in the ‘vestibule’ area. Secondly, getting changed inside is impossible so I got changed outside stood on a mat, thirdly, I managed to make a brew in the little area on the other side of the tent (small storage area) using my jetboil, and with a little modification you can use the door as a small shelter to cook. It’s a brilliant tent in my opinion.

    Greatly appreciate an honest review.

Gr8 video review! I got the V2 earlier in the year from Tiso when they had a sale. I put mine up for the first time this evening and I was even able to fit a full sized blow up mattress in there - so it will be luxury camping for me this season! :)

its a great tent, and usually available for a lot less than the £190 mentioned here. The target price at mo is £79. it for me is a very cheap alternative to the silly priced main brand hooped bivy bags. It weighs 1.5kg so very nice in that regards.

Thanks Kev, seen the Vango Nevis 1man recently advertised under £100 . Same weight, pitch inner and outer together. Has more headroom but it's in the middle. Would be good to see side by side comparison! 👍

I have a similar product I paid £50 for and first thing was to spray nikwax it to death. 3 coats. Then replace the pegs and guys and clips from tbe cheap crap used to make profits. But I'm going to use a tent for years not just 1 season either. I will wildcamp woods, moors, beaches it has to be bombproof or it's getting binned.

I live in Sweden so i cannot purchase from go outdoors, I could however purchase this tent from Black on black friday 2 or 3 years ago for £55. for that price I have no complaints whatsoever. For £100 there are better options in my opinion. the Phoxx is basically a glorified bivi bag

  • @mauriciogoncalves4605

I bought mine last year I paid 48€ with delivery. I'm from Portugal.

  • @TheFairway8

Would you say this tent is large enough for someone about 5 10 plus a large dog or would you opt for maybe the Phox 11 version, cheers

Too small. I have the Nature Hike two person tent, and it is easy to set up, has bags of room, two big vestibules, and easy to pack away. It is brilliant against wind, and entirely waterproof. It does cost £140, but it's worth every penny. Paying less for no room is a false economy.

  • @joshuacarr9738

    Its now 49.99

  • @SteamyG

Hi kev abit late on this vid, is the specified 2.1kg weight all in? So bags and pegs and guys?
