I was the same way, when Ruger came out with the Ruger LC 5.7, I said if and when they come out with the LC 45ACP, I'll snatch it, and they absolutely did! I love mine, all scoped out, slinged and everything else!
Well now this is a interesting video and a interesting carbine. I bought the Ruger LC 45 ACP carbine as soon as I could find one and it has been a amazing carbine for me. I purchased three of the plastic ETS 32 round magazines for Glock 45 ACP and they work very good in my Ruger carbine.
Thanks for the review. I plan on getting the LC 45 also. I have seen nothing but good reviews on it. Sorry to hear about the SFAR. It seems like the reviews on it are about 50/50. I did buy one and so far it has been great with only one ftf with mil-spec ammo. Other than that it has been perfect, running everything on gas setting 2.
I heard a ruger guy say it was basically a placeholder. They needed to put something there. I can’t remember why he said they needed something there, but you’re right it’s kinda odd, but it seems like they know that
The receiver is unusual because the bolt goes so far forward of the breach. I guess Ruger felt they had to put something on the underside of the receiver. I have seen someone who fabricated a mag carrier to fit there.
I’m really interested in this gun. I wish they made a 10mm version and I’m debating on whether I should wait to see if they come out with a 10mm version in the future or just get this now.
I've heard this carbine comes with a 13 round SGM magazine(aftermarket Glock mag.) Have you tried their 26-round mag? I'm curious to know if that is reliable in the LC Carbine also.
It does come with the SGM tactical 13 round mag. It has functioned well so far. I haven’t tried the 26 round mag though. I won’t use ETS 45 acp mags. There’s another mag that I have that’s absolute garbage. Can’t think of it right now. I’ll look when I get home and let you know which one that is. It doesn’t fit well or function at all.
You mentioned putting on a muzzle brake I believe at the end of the video. I just got one of these and it is very nice. What would you recommend for a brake? Thanks Great video!
Mine has a much lighter trigger, probably around five pounds. I love it, very sweet shooter. They say the pic rail by the pistol grip is in case they come out with a charger version.
Very nice but I don't want to be getting a bunch of Glock mags when I have a 1911 and a lot of 1911 mags and I'm not going to spend the money to have magazines for only one specific firearm in addition to what I already have. That's for clarification.
Can you give me the exact dimensions with the stock folded and unfolded been trying to get that information so badly can’t find it thank you! Will greatly appreciate it!
As I enjoy Ruger item and I was looking forward too the release of this item for the life of me. Why is it not like the others? I don’t own one Glock. Only Ruger now I will have too buy only a Glock too use this firearm. Yes I know>> it comes with a mag.. but the point of this firearm was so you had the same Mag for your side arm/ as well as your Pc carbine.
I have mine on order, but judging from other reviews and two guys I know that have them the measured trigger pulls reported have varied from 3 to 5.5 lbs. I suggest you call Ruger customer service. They will undoubtedly fix your trigger problem. let me know how that goes for you.
@sacrificialscience4405 The 450 SMC is a shortend .45 Win Mag shell. Which makes the 450 qual to the .45 ACP in +PPPP. So you can see the seriousness of checking this firearms structural ammunition power rating.
Would like to see you guys actually shoot the gun out of the box without any options. I place lttle credence in a gun review if you need a gun loaded with options to shoot it out of the box.
You mean to make the gun more efficient? Red dots help with target acquisition. The light is nice for outside night stuff. What if it doesn’t come with sights? Do you want to see someone spraying lead everywhere?
@@ez56789 I haven’t noticed it being an issue. The 5.7 is such a long round that the grip is probably longer front to back. That could have been the problem.
....lol .. hardly ... Have to check with John Dillinger or Bonnie and Clyde ... This is range toy ,, not hunting gun (man or beast) ...... Thompson was "cool" gangster ,,FBI CQB gun intended use ...
Does anyone know where to find a replacement charging bolt? I have large hands and the charging bolt on this rifle feels small, tiny, and somewhat toyish. I've looked everywhere and cannot find anyone who makes a replacement bolt. Even Ruger told me to kick rocks, lol. HELP!!!

Very cool. Like the 45 caliber option. And it takes Glock mags 👍. That picatinny forward of trigger guard is strange placement.

Both?
No need for the 10mm in this. The 45acp+p loads put out very impressive energy level to satisfy you thru this carbine. See Target Suite video
You had to bring that up, didn't you.? I was happy with the idea of the .45 LC. But now...
You waited 10 yesrs for the .45. Good luck on 10m,.
They just announced the 10mm model recently.
I want one, would make a great suppressor host and hopefully a reliable home defense platform
Oh yeah didn't think about that
Hopefully they do a 10" barrel option like they did with the 5.7
@@ez56789actually .45 ACP can benefit from the entire 16” of barrel in terms of increased velocity.

I was hoping S&W would make the FPC in .45 or 10mm but this seems like a good option , good review 💪😎👍
Thank you! I would be happy if they made a pistol version of the LC Carbine in 45. Would make a better suppressor host than the rifle.
You mentioned putting on a muzzle brake I believe at the end of the video. I just got one of these and it is very nice. What would you recommend for a brake?

Great video!
I thought about the CMMG Zeroed muzzle brake. But not sure yet. My suppressor was approved so I’ve been running that on there.
And thank you very much!! I hope yours runs as good as mine does
Glad to see it's lefty friendly
💥🙂💥
Thanks for the video... is the mag catch aluminum? Any risk of damaging the polymer glock mags?
The mag catch is polymer so it shouldn’t wear any worse than using it in a Glock. Thank you for watching!
@@sacrificialscience4405 awesome, thank you sir! Just ordered.
Thank you for your honest review.
Thank you. And thanks for watching.
I just bought one but I want it smaller for home defense. How could I take the barrel off without cutting? If that’s even an option
Probably just wait for the Charger version to come out. This would be awesome in a shorter package.

I do understand. Glock mags are fairly reasonable. But just something else to have to deal with.
@@sacrificialscience4405 exactly. I only carry the ammunition and magazines I intend to be using. Mushashi would be proud.
Thank you for your honest video. Have you tried using 200 grain semi wadcutters? Would like to know if it feeds my favorite reload.

@@sacrificialscience4405 Thank you very much for the quick response.
... as ALL .45acp rounds headspace on the case ,not the bullet ,, should function with any round designed for .45acp ....
will it shoot out to 100 yards with a 2 inch group???
I have no idea. Haven’t tried that yet.
.45 ACP isn’t good for shooting at 100 yards. Not it’s purpose
No it won’t. Group would be bigger, but that’s fine for this firearm’s intended purposes.
How’s the recoil compared to the 9mm pc carbine?
It’s a little bit more, but not bad at all
Can you give me the exact dimensions with the stock folded and unfolded been trying to get that information so badly can’t find it thank you! Will greatly appreciate it!
Folded it is about 22.5 inches long. Fully extended and open is about 30.5 inches. With the stock collapsed and open it’s about 28.5 inches

There shouldn’t be an issue with longer mags.
