I sent in a blued Model 85 a few weeks ago. All it needed was a new firing pin spring. They called today and said they do not have a replacement spring, so they offered me a new 856 in the matte black, which I do not think looks half as good as my old blued 85. Now I am in a quandary. Do I have them return my old 85 and I fix it myself, or accept the replacement revolver? If they would replace it with the stainless version I would probably be happy. By the way, I have a custom leather holster for my model 85, do you think a model 856 would fit in the same holster? My holster would probably expand and accommodate a cylinder that is maybe 2 or 3 mm wider.
