This was a very interesting episode even without Kelnys and I have enjoyed it very much. Harry made such a great impressions of Kelnys, that sometimes I could not hear the difference in the voice. I also loved very much the alternative icons for each character. Thank you for sharing this and wish you all a very lovely day.
All the others really had to do was stabilise her, which is the equivalent of patting the head & saying "There, there," but instead we get a precedent that gives nightmares the potential to bring down buildings. Top shelf A-grade nonsense; love it.
This was such a fun watch, and it was so cool seeing and hearing explained all the cool new tricks the team had, it pushed me over the edge and I've ordered my first D&D book since my time with 3.5. The Web is Wide.
Loved this one-shot! Just based on what was shown here, I've reached out to my DM to see if our campaign (still in its early stages) can maybe switch over to the 2024 rulebook. (while retaining "backward compatibility" where needed, like my warlock whose race is Firbolg)

Finally got a chance to watch this one from my back list today. This one-shot was quite the adventure, especially with all the newness from the new Player's Handbook. 😲 If I have an MVP to choose, I'd go with Endellion. Her new abilities elevate her into one-stop shop whup-assery by herself! [And, that's not including the crit successes she had. You go, girl!] I think this adventure also did one more thing: I think it produced the longest battle y'all have ever had thus far. I think it beat out the Medea fight, at the time y'all filmed this episode. I do have one question: Any plans for another one-shot??? Thank you all. Still a patron. Be it Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Boxing Day, or another holiday I'm not aware of, Happy Holidays to one and all. May both it and the new year be festive and brighter than years past. Amen.
He is the Witcher! Great episode! I was shouting at my screen about the new and improved Healing Word several times, but unfortunately I dont think it got through! There were also some Sneak Attack shenanigans (ally within 5 ft doesn't give advantage but does trigger Sneak Attack), and likely some new rules things I missed. But you lot will get there with all the (old and new) rules eventually I'm sure!
Ha! It only became a dream episode at 04:38, so Harry did an amazing job of thinking on his feet! In fact, we're planning to publish a blog all about this on our Patreon on Friday. We usually call it Behind the (DM) Screen but this will be a bonus post, and we're making this one free for everyone to read, especially since this one-shot doesn't have an Action Surge episode. - Hollie
Doug is always present. He is a character from the Deck of Many Friends. He is so strong that he has occasionally leaked out of the deck, which is why he has turned up a few times in the adventure so far. They will be saving that card for the final boss!
Wow! Sounds like Hollie might not want to go back to being a 5E 2014 Fighter after this one shot. Great to hear Endellion has the Champion subclass, I was thinking she was. Also this creature was nasty, although Harry's natural 20s contributed a lot to that

Looking forward to going through the 2024 handbook in a couple of weeks. I'm kind of curious what circle Doug would have chosen since Aoife and Ben changed subclasses that were in the 2024 handbook for this one shot.
Yeah, we felt that while it's nice to talk about it, seeing it in action was the way to go. Also, for us as players it really made us sit down and think what we want to do moving forwards - Hollie
Another great episode! A note/question for Hollie: it seems you're adding your proficiency bonus to your Damage rolls, is that from a Feat/Character option? Usually it's added to the Attack roll (to try and hit) but only Strength or Dex bonus should be added to the Damage roll
Nah, I got it wrong. Harry spoke to me afterwards. I have input based dyslexia, so my brain will often confuse things like numbers or sentences when I read them. Essentially I understand what I’m reading but what my brain chooses to process is different, in this case it’s confusing stats and numbers. It’s actually one of hardest part of trying to play D&D for me, even more so when it’s filmed to make entertainment for people, it really puts pressure on but there is very little I can do about it ^_^; - Hollie
