    Meet the updated Porsche 911!
Porsche has unveiled an updated version of its class-leading sports car, but this is no ordinary facelift. For the first time ever, the 911 has gone hybrid!
So apart from the changes under the skin, let’s see what else has been updated. Thankfully, not too much! Around the front, you’ll find a new set of LED matrix headlights, as well as an updated front bumper. Within it, you’ll find 5 vertical fins on each side, and these can open and close depending on whether the radiator needs cooling. There are new alloy wheel designs to choose from, and around the rear, you’ll find a tweaked light bar, as well as new vents behind the windscreen and a new rear bumper.
Step inside and there’s one notable change - the analogue rev counter has gone, with a fully digital driver display fitted instead. It looks pretty smart and comes with lots of different options, but it’s just not the same as a traditional rev counter! Otherwise, the interior is every bit as smart as you’d expect from a 911, with soft-touch materials throughout and a large infotainment screen on the dash.
When it comes to performance, only the new GTS comes as a hybrid. It’s now powered by a 3.6-litre flat-six with a single turbo, and this combines with the electric motor to produce 541hp and 610Nm of torque - that’s 61hp more than the previous GTS! Porsche claims it will be able to hit 60mph in just 3 seconds, and it also comes with a top speed of 194mph.
The new 911 range starts from £99,800. But if you’re looking to get your hands on the GTS, it will set you back at least £132,600! The question is, if you could, would you pay it? Or would you pick up a second-hand fully petrol-powered 911 instead? Let us know in the comments!

I had a pining for a 911 at some point in my life but given where porsche seems to be heading, it looks like I’ll only be in the market for a 911 GT3 touring with the 6MT. And maybe they’ll take away the manual and add a start button to those too! Pity. But probably for the best in terms of my bank account. I’m not sure if it has changed but if you check out some Porsche forums, many 992 owners have reported some difficulties. Generally, the 911 is a reliable car so long as you take care of it. The performance is amazing but as they get more advanced, it definitely has created some new issues that were not there with previous gens. I had to replace the battery on mine.

Bit of a mixed bag for me I like the new rear lights more but the rear end looks better on the last gen 911 also I prefer the old tail pipes either they should be really close like the gt3 models or more separated kind of look a bit awkward in the current config. Those dynamic front intake fins don't look as good as the static 1s from prior gens but at least they are functional.
Its a real shame that Porsche has to drop the full ice engine but hopefully the hybrid system doesn't take the soul out of the 911 I mean it certainly didn't on the 918 Spyder I guess time will tell. No doubt it will be quite a lot faster in the straight line but the base 911s have never been about straight line so adding an extra 50kg is both impressive and also disappointing. Most drivers want less weight in there sports cars not more I guess they trying to please the grand touring crowd as well with the 911s so understandable since im sure the majority of 911 buyers are retired sunday drivers not track enthusiasts.

-Rear taillight makes the car look like a full on EV. They did not need to add another long lightbar. That weird section where the “Porsche” logo looks awkward. The 992.1 rear end looks much better.
-a push to start button. Really?!?!
-fully digital analog?!?! They really listened to consumers 🧐
-sure, the hybridization makes it faster but I’m going to bet the ride will be more soulless. Faster is not always better. I’d much rather drive a 993 over a Tesla S Plaid any day.
-Maintenance will most certainly be a nightmare in the long run with all of these complexities.
-those front fins are a no go.
-MSRP “slightly raised”?!?! It just went up over $12k…. Almost 10% increase.

The new GTS dumped the twin turbo from the old model for a single hybrid turbo which still outperforms the previous model with it's 2 turbos. But if Porsche were to find a way to keep and add two hybrid turbos in the 992.2 Turbo S and GT2RS, I believe they would create two absolute monsters. One will be an absolute supercar eater for the straight lines and the other might be an undisputed track weapon that will reclaim the ring record.

I think porsche making a hybrid 911 is a cool idea and I really like it. But they should "STILL "make some normal engine cars too. Also I like the new bumper. :)
Edit: I saw a guy saying the politicians won't allow it soo. maybe they should just stick with the hybrid and dont go to fully electric then its fine for me.I mean I "wish" They still make engine cars.
Edit 2: stop. Im not saying hybrid was in all variant. I'm talking about the car in the video. >:(. :).
Why cant people be like "oh I agree" or "oh I disagree but ok" and walk off, instead they're like "YOU ARE WRONG" and manage to type 2 sentences of just hating on peoples opinions even though people are saying to respect others opinions. IK Im not good at english and there might be grammar mistakes that is making confusion. But plz respect others opinions they are not going to be that bad to the world "MOST OF THE TIME" . The targa has a hard top which makes it good for winter, gives you the option to open the roof at least partially (enough, really), and is the best looking car there is.
