Thanks for watching! Once Kia gets access back we will let you know! In the meantime, the Lectron NACS adapter will work flawlesly for Kias/Hyundais. I charged an EV6 on Tuesday (on V4 post too.) . You need to use the ioniq 5 with the adapter to locatev the station on the map and select the charger to initiate charging. Tesla id's your car by its VIN and if it allows the model to charge it works. Evidently they have removed KIA's Vin list from allowed vehicles.
I just did the same experiment at a brand new Supercharger 3 site, same result. Tesla display says “no connection” and shuts off. Using A2Z Typhoon adapter.
Are Kia and Hyundai officially supported and supposed to work but they've stopped working or are they unsupported and the hack to make them work stopped working?
As of right now, Kia and Hyundai cannot charge on the superchargers in the US. We discovered a hack that made them temporarily work, but after a week they stopped working. We’re assuming Tesla removed the VINs or Kia told Tesla that they weren’t ready for access yet
Shit video. The guy is complaining that misrepresenting the make/model of his car results in charging error. Duh, you're operating in an unsupported state.
Huh?? This post has nothing to do with politics! And if you also want to know, I am a Tesla Model Y owner so Elon gets plenty of my money

@@theevgeekpodcast My neighbor hates Elon so much he just took a 22k loss on his Model Y to get into a Mach-E. I love those lefties who are stuck in Teslas because they are underwater.

You may wanna go out and try again… No one is having any luck since about Tuesday or Wednesday

@@theevgeekpodcast Thanks!
Why did you decide to buy a Kia over a Tesla?
So actually, I own a Tesla… My wife owns a EV6. She’s always loved Kia. She’s not a big fan of Tesla and the one large screen. She likes buttons! :-)
Seems backwards to do. Just hurts Kia EV drivers who are paying customers.
True!
I do notsee juice coming out of der superchargers
Yes, supercharger access to Kia stopped working… Hopefully they turn it back on in a few weeks
I drive a Tesla so not worried, I don't ever charge at a non Tesla supercharger
@@cadec99 😂😂
There’s no such thing as a non-Tesla Supercharger.

Not a shit video… If you would’ve watched our previous video, you would see that we actually got it to work.
The OP is just sharing information on wider access to chargers. I applaud him for that.
@ thank you!!
Well..,that didn’t last long!!
No it didn’t!
Joel looks like one of those Camela supporters. Poor Joel. First a Trump victory and now no ability to give Musk money.

Glad I purchased a Nissan Ariya instead of the Kia/Hyundai
They should get access in a few months
