cutting fabric with Cricut Maker3

Working on Storm at Sea quilt. I struggled so much with first one that I decided to use the Cricut Maker 3 to help me have more precision in cutting my square in square pieces. You can learn more on my blog fixintaquilt.blogspot.com

If you know the size of the square unfinished then you can do a grid pattern as you have done, but instead of separate squares just do a huge square with lines all the way down & across with no gaps. It saves fabric & lots of time. Like cutting brownies in a pan. Easier to set up too.
Also use transfer tape on mat (mat is sticky & holds transfer tape) then peel up paper so sticky part is exposed, place fabric on transfer tape. Keeps mat clean & sticky longer.
