Hi
hm
Why are you doing so many recounts didn’t you already do these?
Can u do a malignant kill count
It’s creepily wholesome that Jason has some sorta morals with the whole he won’t kill kids
Would have added to the creepy wholesome bit if he patted the kid on the head
@@delta2372 eh nah mighta been a bit to far
@Pain Or Goken I guess that's because Micheal is just evil
@Pain Or Goken I guess at least he didn't kill the baby......but yeah
Headcanon, he’s punishing the counselors and teens of the area and anyone who wronged him or Momma Voorhees. The kids, like he was, are just victims of their caretaker’s sins and therefore don’t need to be punished.
I love how surprised Jason is by his own strength when he ripped that dudes arm off.
Yes, it's a nice detail that shows Jason is still getting accustomed to his new undead abilities he didn't have before
He just looks at it like, “Da Fuq?”
Then he looks at the smiley face and thought: "Why the f*ck is a smiley face there?!"
Probably why he also reacts shocked when he isn't affected by bullets since Jason while mentally handicapped isn't all that dumb and Probably realizes his new found power and seems to really experiment with it throughout the Movie
I absolutely loved that moment, most of the kills were cool but that moment just stuck with me
The fact that Jason took effort to kill everyone but not the kids as he knew that the kids were all hiding under the beds. He still is the little boy that got bullied and can see that the kids aren’t his goal or aren’t counselors or adults. It’s a good way to see the detail of his personality
Even serial killers have morals and Jason can feel the same way the kids felt as he was always afraid as a kid cause he was always bullied
Bullied by kids, if you think about it, they should go too.
Tbh its probably more related to the fact that kids dying on screen is very controvertial thing that the series doesn't wanna deal with because its already getting into issues with gore, kids are the ones who bullied him so realistically he would probably get more triggered by them. He also did try to go after Tommy Jarvis as a kid in pt 4 showing going after kids isn't below the character of Jason, its too risky for the directors to go through with him doing it. Even in part 6 in both cases of Jason leaving the kids be it was because he got distracted by bigger targets.
@@desireepadilla9829Maybe serial killers in movies or books have "morals" or something akin to them... A reason for their killing etc... but IRL no... Serial killers don't have morals lol
My head cannon is once he gets revenge and is content he becomes a protector of kids and he pops in to stop Mike and Freddy
The fact that Jason didn’t kill the kids just shows that he isn’t just a serial killer for fun but for revenge against the counselors or just adults in general.
He's got beef with those who reminds him of the people who killed his mom and let him drown as a kid
But Kids? They probably remind him of the life he was denied
Even when he's a broken zombie
Yes
I agree but I think that it was not a common thing around this time. Michael Myers did not kill a kid until the 2018 reboot. He always left the alone in the other films even though they also call him the embodiment of evil. I feel like if we got a new Friday the 13th, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Jason killed a kid. Jason isn’t the ‘embodiment of evil’ but he definitely has been devoured by the need for revenge… and he is a zombie. That too 😅
Also when Jason was in Manhatten he didn't kill everyone in New York or the bikers and all he just did was injured that man in the cafe
@@nejiIscool He did kill those junkies in the alley and that one cop.
James then: *hates the bloody face tree*
James now: *thinks that the bloody face tree is corny*

@@Hillthugsta true either that or he's "VERY SLOWLY" thinking its a lil bit funny

@@mikesouza7074 yep
I think my favorite part of this movie was how surprised even Jason was at his new strength. When he flung that one guy against the tree and then took a moment to examine his severed arm like, "Well...that's new. And I can make it work."
Interesting observation
I'm now imaging Jason going huh? Neat
In his surfer voice"Gnarrrrrrrly".
"If I knew I had these powers when I'm undead, I would've killed myself sooner!"
It's hilarious to me how the actors who play slasher villains are just the kindest people on set
Reminds me of the guy who played three finger on the original wrong turn movie,he was chill asf on set
Bill Skarsgård (Pennywise) and Tony Todd (Candyman) are some other prime examples of "intimidating/nightmare-inducing slasher who's really chill irl"
Not just that. I think typically people who play bad guys are 160° different than what they portray.
Although they're not slashers, it reminds me of some of the movies that involve abusive family members like Matilda or Harry Potter where the actors go out of their way to be kind to the child actors and reassure them that they're only acting.
I think if I’ve learned anything from these kill counts, it’s that Jason isn’t the villain.
*The real villain is the MPAA.*
You make a good point there mate.
True
Yeah
They left soft core porn in the film but removed the kills… they’re not even villains, they’re just stupid
That or corporate red tape
I love how you don’t just count kills anymore. You provide trivia, and talk about meeting actors. It’s fantastic.
I'm fantastic
@@sasukeuchiha8801 so is your rinnegan oh wait….

“What were you going to be when you grew up?” is literally one of the best pieces of dialog ever written, I stand by that!
This movie was such a step up after four and five. The level of self awareness, the dark humor of what amounts to a Jason Bond opening...those kids. Bloody well done.
I'll agree with you on this being a step up after pt. 5 but pt 4 was 1000x better then this movie.

I actually like the idea that Jason somehow turned into an urban legend in just 6 years😂 Shows how much can happen in such a short period of time.
I mean, if the counselors were teens they would’ve been 13 at most
I'm so happy about the set conditions with this movie, real breathe of fresh air that everyone was comfortable and cared for on this one.
Love the shout-out to Jason’s “cake” in this installment! 😂
I love how Jason is just decapitated 3 people at once with a single slash the moment he got his iconic machete.
Can i see ur mustache
Never been this early to one of your comments before, and here we are.
That's why its iconic!
Jason is my boyfriend
He cannot kill without his machete……
I definitely believe CJ Graham is a gentle giant. I actually got to hug him at a comic con. Didn't know he was a marine though, but that makes him extra awesome.
Add Derek Mears to that gentle giant list, he seems like a total sweetheart, too.

I find the way Jason breaks the liquor bottle so satisfying. It quick and easy and shows just how strong Jason is.
Jason lives is by far the best Friday the 13th movie in the series.
The shining theme is a reference to Dies Irae or “day of wrath” which is sort of the musical word for doom or death. So I’d say this movie was just also referencing that rather than the shining itself
James singing "sister sister" when the sister got killed took me out, that was hilarious!
5
I actually like the yellow gloves , makes me call this Jason . “Utility Jason” since he’s essentially has a utility belt of slasher weapons and wears gloves for the extra grip strength.
Bat-Jason.
Home Improvement Jason.
"Aaauuugh!?"
I feel that's how an actual maniac who kills people with a machete would dress.
Imagine you call someone to fix the pipes in your house and Utility Jason shows up
@@katkay9923 yeah here's your problem too many living teens by the lake I can deal with it but it'll cost ya
Goddamn, the "ding" at the start of the video to notify people of flashing lights and the same "ding" at the end to tell people it's over... How is this channel so professional, well-thought through and awesome; it's crazy we're getting this for free.
What I love about the scene with the woman trying to bribe Jason to go away is that the soundtrack in the background is called "He Only Takes Visa"
So she would have been spared if she used a visa card..
26:00 Excuse me, those are gardeners gloves, and for someone who's main methods of killing are with farm tools, Jason is being smart, keeping his hands safe.
Wdym keeping his hands safe, his hands are already fucked up 😂😂😂
Plus it adds considerably more grip so he can hold his weapons much more securely. It would be embarrassing if he goes for a heavy slash and the machete just flies out of his hand.
He runs a gardening show on the side
@@angeleaterstudios1004 and Considering his hands skin has also most likely rotted away and one of his hands was split in half he most likely needs them as well
Tommy: Jason belongs in Hell. And I'm gonna see he gets there.
Alan: He won't get there. Not for another seven years, at least.
16:36 "Which is the closest to his theme song."
Thank God it's Friday - Ice Nine Kills: "Am I a joke to you?"
That comment about Jason not killing kids… it makes a lot of sense seeing as how the rest of his life has happened. He was severely traumatized as a child with his mothers death and him surviving a near death experience leaving him scarred. Unlike Michal Myers or Freddy Kruger who both are just cold blooded, there is almost a bit of sadness to Jason. He is a victim who almost seems like he is still a little kid in a man’s body. Taking out his anger on the world. Hence why the child psychology worked on him. I think it’s really interesting but really sad.
It’s funny how Jason is portrayed as this spooky guy with a mask that seems to never show his face, yet you can see his face every movie
To be fair, there's less of it every time.
No you don't.
@@KillbotSw you see his face in parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, X, 09. FvsJ doesn't really count.
@@raidenmetalgear3572 Jason wasn't in part 5
I think Michael Myers is more the not show his face type guy than Jason. Jason is there to hide it but show it to emphasise that he is a monster under the mask whereas Michael is more that the mask is the monsters face.

Friday the 13th Part VI is like the quintessential 80's slasher flick, the humor was just self-aware enough to not be overbearing and the kills were satisfying to watch without being super disturbing or heavily censored. The characters are both funny and relatable and it's one of the few movie productions where nothing went wrong and everyone left happy. The jokes involving the campers were weirdly wholesome too, like the "farthead" editing gag. It's no wonder the film was praised so heavily.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that there should be Oscars for stunts (I would say two, one for choreography and one for performance)
100% agreed! These people literally risk life and limb for the movie, the least they deserve is an award.
I bet the kid actors loved Jason’s actor just imagine him bringing them like McDonald’s during lunch dressed as Jason
Chcuchhgycycy
Did that actually happen?
Now this makes me think of jason as this cool uncle type character and for some reason with this jason it works🤣🤣🤣🤣

Michael:the true embodiment of evil who kills everyone who gets in his way
Freddy:a literal child killer
Jason:doesn’t kill any children and only kills the naughty teens

This movie always holds a special place in my heart because not only was it the first Friday movie I saw but it was also the first slasher movie I ever saw and made me fall in love with slasher flicks.
0:00 Intro
3:28 The Kills
28:05 The Numbers
29:33 On the Next Kill Count
31:11 Outro
Fun fact: the intro music for this film (as well as The Shining) is a motif called Dies Irae. It's from the 13th century, and it's very heavily tied to themes of death and decay. Probably not a reference, just a fun theming coincidence!
it also shows its face in the opening dream sequence for part 5!
Also fun fact: Another film that uses this that has also been featured on the Kill Count is Sweeney Todd. Almost every song has some form of the Dies Irae in it. Sometimes the notes are moved up or down, sometimes they’re flipped on the sheet music. But the Dies Irae is integral to that movie/musical’s soundtrack.
@@maxducks2001 you beat me to mention Sweeney Todd. Yeah, the Dies Irae is everywhere in that musical.
Also, The Hobbit trilogy used it whenever the orcs showed up (or was it just Bolg? I don't remember, those movies were a mess XD )
It’s been used countless times, and I always enjoy spotting it. One of the earliest “modern” (relatively) uses of Dies Irae is in the 5th movement of Hector Berlioz’s “Symphonie Fantastique,” which has a translated title of “Dream of a Witches Sabbath.” Real trippy stuff for the 1800s.
Dead by Daylight's theme is also very similar! Though DBD's use of the music probably ISN'T a coincidence...
Fun fact: If you don’t take into account the name change to Camp Forrest Green, part 6 is actually the first Friday the 13th where Jason kills at Camp Crystal Lake. If you do count it, then Freddy vs Jason is the first movie Jason kills anyone at Camp Crystal Lake proper.
Interesting

I have glaucoma and will admit the warnings help as they can bother me too.
Pretty convincing

@@CB-THE-OG I'm epileptic too
I don’t know if this has been pointed out yet, but the “sped up shining theme” in the opening credits is the Dies Irae, an old Latin tune that always goes along with the coming of death. It’s in a bunch of stuff!
I actually Met CJ Graham (Jason in this film) and He informed me that the Scene where he comes to the RV was his first scene filmed and his personal favorite scene!!

On the subject of Oscars for stunts, there's a general refusal to consider it because of concerns that making it a category would encourage stunt performers and coordinators to take bigger and bigger risks to top each other.
Yeah let's keep it that way
I mean Tom Cruise already does that even without that category
Maybe a pseudo Oscar, one that's not prestigious. The Elmo award for stunts
Best unmanned vehicle stunts? Best stunt performance by a trained professional? There could always be stipulations; ex. "stunts involving a significant or majority chance of irreparable, significant, and permanent injury or death will not be considered." Sadly people will keep upping the anti even without a category like this.
The other night I was watching this and I caught something I never heard before and I went from being almost asleep to dying of laughter. When Tommy is in Megan’s lap she not only says “that’s what I want” (which I remembered) but then she goes “it’s gonna be a hairy turn”😂😂😂😂😂

FYI, the “Shining Theme” is Dies Irae (Day Of Wrath) which is an ancient Catholic chant that has come to represent death.
Wow that’s a cool fact

I saw a Friday the 13th documentary and according to one of the people who worked on this, when the credit card scene played in theaters people would always shout out “don’t leave home without it!”
The only time I recall Jason ever killing kids was in a comic, a bunch of kids bullying another kid, he spared the bully-victim because they had the same birth defect as him. Whether you consider this canon or not, you decide
i believe a lot of comics are canon because of their endorsement with obvious exceptions like crossovers that arent in universe etc etc
do you know what it's called?
i mean most of Jason's kills make sense, as its usually the camp councillors who were distracted being horny and therefore lead to his death at the hands of bullies, Jason killing bullies makes sense

It's strange but this one seems to have more to it than the others in the series. A little more wit, characters, and it doesn't seem to stick to the tropes these movies stick in here and there. i LOVE finding out that huge movies were filmed in small nowhere towns, like Covington (cuv-ing-ton), Georgia, makes me happy as a Georgia native to know where all these places are
This is definitely a favorite in the series for me! Especially because I've grown to appreciate more dark and out-there humor. I love the fourth-wall breaks in this movie and it's (mostly) clever bits. And I love Man Behind The Mask.
I like imagining a scenario where Jason's trying to like break someone in half by bending him backwards and the person's like a crazy contortionist and they just handle it no problem and they're like what are you doing bro.
I never clicked on a kill count video because I thought it was just going to be a montage of all the kills. But instead it is kind of like a review/analysis video. I kind of like it.
Whoever's idea it was to include Alice Cooper on the soundtrack was a freak'n genius! That is a match made in heaven!
At 19:53 the Sister Sister reference, then the singing AND the vocal overdub?! HI👏🏾LA👏🏾RI👏🏾OUS👏🏾!!!
Alice Cooper makes everything better 🎶

Even the lightning was like “Fuck you Jason” *I died*
This has always been my favorite jason movie
25:43 the fact that you made a Nirvana reference during a movie that heavily uses hair metal, the genre that band (among others) killed, brings me EXCESSIVE amounts of glee
I disagree with James on one aspect: I don't think Part 4 looked cheap at all. The production quality of Part 4 was a huge step above the first three.
and then unfortunately came V
5 is entertaining enough, but a huge step down in every way from 4. I completely disagree with James on 5 being better than 4.
@@joshuanelson6795 as do I, was a bit taken aback by his ranking... 5 is okay but sandwiched between 4 and 6 you can really see the difference.
It’s especially surprising since James once said 4 was his favorite and 5 was his least favorite. Opinions can always shift, but that particular shift was really unexpected.
@@joshuanelson6795 Yep, I'm into the so-called interesting characters in part 5, to me there's better ones in other parts. Plus if I was watching horror for characters I'd watch the old 30 & 40s where they were more plentiful
My Fav and First Jason Movie, thank you for bringing up all the amazing aspects of it and all the best parts.
I love effortlessly Jason broke the bottle to kill Martin it just shows how used he is to using not weapons to kill somebody
Also doesn't hurt that he is extremely strong after his death, he was strong before he died but after his return he is on the next level
This is everybody's favorite version of me. I can see why. Im undead, unstoppable, and unapologetic with my kills. Once again James rocked this Killcount with tons of dope info and behind the scenes stuff. He really knows what he's doing. Just like me when I'm slashin.✌
I love this comment way to much.
@@meat7361 thanks.
I love hearing about "gentle giant" stories. You got this big person who could probably crush your skull like a grape but they turn out to be a sweetie. And to play Jason of characters?
