- Every now and then we come across a story that makes us take a step back. Ya see, this dual-cab 80 would be enough reason to stop for a second look if it was owned by a fella who'd had half a dozen Cruisers and paid a shop to convert this one into a dual-cab professionally. But then you find out the owner is 17, owned the 80 since he was 14 and did the entire thing himself. Yep, this thing redefines the term 'first car'!
George Pink is a young fella seriously obsessed with 4WDs. It's in his blood - his dad has a dual-cab, 6WD, LS V8'd 105 Series Cruiser, and living up in the tropical off-roading paradise of Cairns there's no shortage of inspiration for building a tough 4WD. George went into the family business - Pink's Power Steering, working for his dad - and as this goes to print is most of the way through his third year mechanical apprenticeship. Bucking the trend to buy a high-performance rice rocket as a first vehicle, George knew way before he got his license that it was an 80 he wanted - so he went out and bought one.

Awesome work Mate. I was smokin cones and playing metal gear solid When i was 17
Be honest wackin off too 😂😂
I am a character in metal gear solid 😂
Hard bro I was doing the same thing
I'm 27. When I grow up, I want to be this guy.
Great work young fella. Wish I had those skills at his age.
881Gino money*
That canopy wriggles like no tomorrow
Bloody beauty...well done young man 👊🏽
Sponsored by mum and dad
Drew Milton haha
I mean atleast he knows how to drive it
Sweet build, good for him!
Wouldn't he be 18? Green P's plus 1998 birthday?
who cares ya low life
Regardless of who built it, where the money came from, this is a nicely put together 80. I had an fj40 and a young lad near me restored it he was 17 looked like it had came out of the showroom with a few subtle mods.Hes older now and has done countless builds all on modified cruisers. Hes quirky ,awkward, hard to deal with but hes been messing with cars since he was five years old, his dad is a very wealthy man but you would never know it hes never chucked money at his boy hes as tight as a fishes arse.!!
awesome stuff, what a beast! Beats my old courier xD
When I was 17, probably didn’t even know how to do the oil. Nice 👍
That’s a great looking rig.
I'm 14 now, might have to show my Dad ;)
Nice one, he's done exactly what I'm doing to my 100 series. Only thing is that in Queensland you have to have an open license to do some serious mods like the turbo. I'm on my L's so I've got to wait a while!
Unless it's diesel
RC JeepBeef no not even for the 1hz
I've got a TD42 turbo on my P's. Should be similar wouldn't it ?
RC JeepBeef in my case the 100 series came out in 1hTD and 1hz. On P plates you are allowed to drive the stock factory turbo engine but you're not allowed to drive and engine that has been built from the factory naturally aspirated and later on have a turbo put on.
okay, that makes sense !
And get this, “ he’s only 17” sick m8888
Hi guys can someone please tell me why he changed the rear drum brakes to a later 80 series model.... And which one to be exact.... I'm thinking of buying an 80 series land cruiser here in fiji and doing it up like this fellas cruza.. Awsum rig brother
Nice rig mate
Nice one Mate!!!
Wouldn't be as cool if a 17y/o hadn't built it (and his old man).
Nice work!
super SUV and I have in Spin Tires and I also like to cut off road and I have a lot of videos with jeeps like this
4” and 35” must of been defected my now 🤦♂️😂
NICE!!!
Not hard to build something like this even at 17 if you have the money
Gordon Premium show us how not hard it is with some of your work thats the same standard mate 😂
Cameron Short, you're missing the point mate... Not all of us have the money to do this kind of thing 🙃
Gordon Premium some ones jealous
Money doesnt teach you how to build motors or weld chassis and canopies you muppet, money just buys the parts not put them together, hence why every flog drives a 79 series that looks the same as every other one
Cameron Short mate wouldn't be calling me a Muppet you flog you'd be lucky to even put a wheel on
Dude how you get the money!? I'm 18 have my welding license, have a Toyota Hilux and would love to mod it out more than I have, but I need the money! Sick rig though
Its a 1-hz thats how
Is this video made down at Ross n Locke, goldbourough. Cairns? Certainly looks like it
Jarrod FAM-Munn yeah thought the same thing and at greenpatch as well
Chris Messina. Yeh has too be for sure
not too hard to spot good ol' Ross n
Yes he works at pinks auto
And Santa Claus is real🤣✊
wait, so he got that ute when he was 14...shit man
Tuff
Where did he get those headlamps for it?
Are they QLD plates ?
Justin Mack yea
You can't be 17 on green p plates
billy mutt ayes u can
Ben Liebermann no you can’t
6 months on red
nt is trash
what issue is the mag?
The canopy looks sketchy
4inch and 35's in QLD...not legal and totally unsafe in the hands of a 17yr. Lucky it has a 1hz lol it wont break 60kph :P
Justin Mack can get it blue plated I have
@@fnqexpress5607 send me a link or details of the engineer who plated it.
I'm 20, and cant even afford a 70 series
Mmmmm 17 and on his greens ps
weekend media yea mate only 6 months on your red p’s and if he’s like most 17 year old kids he would have got it on his birthday so 6 months later he’s still 17
so can someone explain to my Australia has such strict driving laws?
Haare Brown the general population has a few issues, but compared to some parts of the world I have visited we are not bad at all.
iCurti because we are over regulated by fuck wits. I went to Germany and I see people riding scooters on the footpath with no helmets. And it’s legal
only in states over east I think, im from Perth WA and we can have any cars, if thats what you're talking about. otherwise our gov has become a bitchy fucken nannies who freak out bout anything
17 year old on his greens?
But does he have a spare tire???
what bull bar??
Muhammad Abdullah Have the same one on my zook strange seeing it on a bigger truck
Kangaroos or cows always on the road at night that why we need Bullbar to protect ourself
The one his mummy and daddy paid for
I really like the look.. but is it me or does everything look like the body is bouncing around too much?
yeah right a 17yo did not build this car, he had people work on it for him
Jason Moyle y
How does he have a turbo on his P's?
Hmm interesting
Riley Chapman you can have turbo diesel's on your p's. I guess due to power to weight ratio?
QLD - a power-to-weight ratio of more than 130kW per tonne is legal on p's
I know in QLD, NSW, and N.T you can drive a v8 turbo diesel on your p's. I believe you can in W.A aswell.
Luke Allan shit didn't know that, so I'd be able to drive a 79 V8 ? Surely that'd be more than 130kw of power
#diddymoney
First
No respect for rich people
He's on his green p plates, he's at least 18
You can be 17 on your green P's
6 months on red p’s only
