Ronnys starting to be more natural in front of the camera it makes me enjoy the video a lot more. But man how you confuse a 6BT cummins into a v8 cummings 🤣🤣
Wonderful engine. I love my RAM, kickdown and the needle stays at 3k rpm and very quickly passing 60 mph. Can imagine how fun it is in a lighter 105 :D
10:05 That gas strut is comedy gold, especially opening up to a fully custom switchboard. You could install a new one twice in the time it took that lazy shit to open.
I'm not a diesel expert but I am aware that the 6BT is considered a legendary engine, often going hundreds of thousands of miles and used in diesel race trucks as the stock internals are very robust. Is it not well known in Australia? Not sure if Ronny asked about reliability because it was a swap or because he considered switching out a Toyota engine as a downgrade in reliability 😆
Not very common and very expensive they weren't sold in road going vehicles here you either have to import one or find one out of something like a gen set, industrial compressor concrete pump etc. When you can can get an Isuzu Japanese built 6BD1-t relatively easy which are frankly a better motor they don't make a lot of sense in Australia.
@@MrNeroDiablowhy do you mention that Isuzu motor in particular? Also “made in Japan” doesn’t automatically mean superior... It took Japan decades to figure out how to make cars that wouldn’t immediately rust to bits in the US. Also Nissan and Subaru sedans exist 😂

@@MrNeroDiablo From everything I've heard the 5.9 12v 6BT is reliable and overbuilt enough that it too will go those kind of miles. Used in school buses and commercial vehicles. They are quite common in the states so lots of aftermarket support. Also mechanical injection. Quite big and heavy. As for newer Cummins there's also the 5.0 diesel V8 that was available in the US via the Nissan Titan full-size pickup.
When I saw V8 Cummins I was thinking he had the 5.0ISV engine. When 5.9 was said I was like, "That's a I6, unless there is a Cummins engine I haven't heard about (entirely possible)".
Is it OK to have your camping fridge on the outside and getting wet from rain? I see people do it all the time and I didn't see anywhere in the manual that says not to
You did a video on winching. Have you ever done a video on installing a winch inside a car? I need to install one inside a car to lift an electric wheel chair into the back. The current lifts on the market are super expensive and impractical for my vehicle. Please let me know if you would do one.
See comments saying "best interview style yet" and to be honest I disagree. It felt rushed and I dont feel like I got to "experience" the rig. Quality of video was great just not the pace. Put the caffeine away and slow down 😂
Wow. I'm DUMBFOUNDED ? I'm still digesting what this guy has done. For some people, there is no off switch for the amount of Cash they put into a vehicle. And now he's talking about a twin cab and auto. So therefore, he starts from scratch and puts another $100k of accessories into his Rig. My money pit has got a ceiling on it. Where is his coming from? Does he have a partner, kids or even a Rabbit for a pet ? I don't think so. I'm pretty sure he serenades his rig every night. Lost for words.
What the hell are you Aussies smoking that is NOT a v8 ! It is an inline 6 cylinder Cummins 6BT ___ How could you make such a mistake in identifying a motor. Somebody needs to go back to school
Typical gronk Victorian Flog! All the gear with no idea! Stay in Victoria with the rest of the tryhard flops, wont go offroad until yous have spent 1 million dollar's on your shitboxs 😂
IN-LINE 6 CUMMINS. Drop the G and the 2 cylinders
Came to say this, just nit really paying attention when you make little mistakes like that
This editing style is perfect!!! Seems way more like a presentation rather an interview as such, this was the best one yet
This editing is fantastic. Some light music, changing camera angles, fast pace conversation, great way to cover these massive builds
That was my favorite modified episode yet. Cool car, well spoken and funny. Well done on this one Mr Ronny Dahl.
It’s CUMMINS, not Cummings!!!
I thought it was Withney Cummings Cruiser
Also not a V8
Don't blow a head gasket, cowpoke. I'm sure it was tongue-in-cheek
Well technically it was Cummings, then they changed the name
It was not. The company founder's name was Cummins.
I found myself watching this with a smile on my face. Well done Alex, great build 👍
Ronnys starting to be more natural in front of the camera it makes me enjoy the video a lot more. But man how you confuse a 6BT cummins into a v8 cummings 🤣🤣
Reminds me of the motorheads of the 50's and 60's. Build it the way you want it to be and forget about conventionality. Nice rig!
Now just to get it tuned old mate. They are even better on fuel when they aren't spitting it out the back unburnt.
Thanks Rhonda
Love the Russell Coight style handshakes
need a mannequin hand in there 😀
Awsome video Ronny, about time we saw the 6BT here, definately a to-do build. 👍👍👍👍👍👍BT
Wonderful engine. I love my RAM, kickdown and the needle stays at 3k rpm and very quickly passing 60 mph. Can imagine how fun it is in a lighter 105 :D
Cummings is something you put in a tissue mate
Not too many brain cells firing in this video Ronny 😂
Epic build and engine nice one mate
That's a cowboy tune alright. Rolling coal......
Nice trolling Ronny. 😂

Six in a row - ready to tow 😉
Nice rig. I’m jealous.
Mate it's CUMMINS not Cummings and also the 5.9 is an I6 not a V8 😄
FYI: 6BT "Cummins" is an inline 6 cylinder engine and not a V8 as the intro says
It’s Cummins!
Cummins !
this bloke is a fkn legend haha
Great editing and camera work on this one Ronny, thoroughly enjoyed!
Nice job...i saw cummins....i thought 4 cyl. You shoe horned that thing into that truck.....come to usa...you can get rich doing conversions✌🤓🤠
All that money on the built and using King's drawers 👍
In the US the 5.9 Cummins is an inline 6 not at v8. Is it different there?
No it's the same one. He just got it wrong
V8 Cummings 😆
It’s a joke 😊
The Toyota may have been a factory V8 at one point. Also had LS as last engine. So could mean a Toyota 105 V8 Cummins swapped bit shortened.
I wonder if the 5.9 will fit in the engine bay of a GX470.
Surly
I like your bonnet scoop..
Where did you get it from?
With the awning out, you cannot use the tent anyway, neither in or out.
So just fold down the tent anytime you need the awning.
Dang, how did i miss this ep
Did anyone see that it said V8 Cummins when this was first posted?
Yes I love how he's somehow put 2 more cylinders and turned a 6bt into a v8 Cummings. Must be what the g stands for
If so he’s changed it back
Up the 105 🔥
Good god that’s a lot of engine for that truck. I approve, but good god.
Wonder if wasn't cheaper just to import a Dodge Ram truck size. Or go with a light duty truck as the Mitsubishi Fuso.
Sounds like I got it from a Dodge during one of the segments...
When I saw V8 Cummins I was thinking he had the 5.0ISV engine. When 5.9 was said I was like, "That's a I6, unless there is a Cummins engine I haven't heard about (entirely possible)".
I got all excited for a v8 Cummins swap…
Same, I was hoping to see 5.0ISV too!
nice rig good vid would have liked a bit more information on the custom headlight
Is it OK to have your camping fridge on the outside and getting wet from rain? I see people do it all the time and I didn't see anywhere in the manual that says not to
A 6B in a FJ? Heavy as, bru! Insane. I don't think I'd have the stomach for a 450kg motor in there. I'd go with a 3L Mercedes i6
Nice rig. Out of my price range but would love it
Hi Ronny, any idea on price and brand of the roof top tent??
Looks like that was filmed in Warburton?
Hey ronny its a STRAIGHT 6 CUMMINS
Nice rig 👍
*Cummins Straight 6
would the Cummins fit in a 2004 LN167R Hilux?
What are the power figures?
rtt looks good
It’s straight 6 turbo not v8
6BT
You mean
Cummins!
I think Rhonny should rephrase the heading to be ex-LS v8 swapped to 5.9L Cummins
Ronny just needs to stick to the videos and less on the technical information

What brand bin bag is that??
Southern cross canvas in bayswater
5.9L V8[sic] Cummings[sic]? Looks to be the legendary 12 Valve 5.9L straight six. Has to be trolling.
I think he wrote v8 and "cummings" on purpose guys 😁
Then why did he correct himself?
If the last 10 seconds of the video can’t convince all the outraged comments that it’s a joke then I don’t think anything will 😂

Cummins - no G. It’s ok, half the people in transport get it wrong too 😂
Is that will ferrell’s son?
Not another Cummings person - it’s literally written on the motor CUMMINS
Guy seems level headed. Likes his toys but not OTT.
@Barry I thinks he is a guy who likes the challenge, but still builds what is practical for real world use. Looks like a great vehicle.
Cummins
THANK YOU FOR GREAT VIDEO AS DONE LOT CHANCE TO TOYTOA
No V8 here, Cummins 6bt is straight 6.
Looks like dandos
All that work and you couldn’t keep the water out of your headlight… cowboy
Uh pretty sure that’s on the headlight mfg..
It’s a 6bt not a v8😅

Cummins 6bt is an inline 6 not a v8
It's a 6BT. That's 6 cylinders not 8. And it's Cummins not Cummings.. good video though, tough rig too
What is his insta for the 105
its cummins not cummings and who dosent know the 6bt is an inline 6 (its even in the name) not a v8? cant you see the valve covers right on top?
Ronny, do you realize the spam in your comment section?
Weird v8?
I'm disliking this video until you get the headline correct.
6bt isn't a v8 it's straight 6
Cummins Ronny, not Cummings!!!!
not a v8!
CUMMINS! not Cummings!!!!!!!!!
Cummings v8 6bt.
