    Years ago I had an 80 (1HDT), an interesting 'trick' I found was swapping out the airbox with one from the 1FZ model, its the same airbox, only the lid is different. Instead of being flattened its a nice radius bend and slightly larger pipework. Just that one change boost increased from 12 to 17psi! without a change to anything else. Wound it back down slightly
    Shows a major restriction in that one part, made the system more efficient with better boost response

    Another 1st class video from the Skid Factory. The videos are always stress free and easy to watch. I particularly enjoy the quality of work and workmanship. I would have really liked to hear Josh's response to the upgrade after dyno and his first drive. Maybe you could get him to do a short follow-up?

    Awesome vid. I've got a 105 series with a 1hz running 8psi and after seeing this I'm definitely looking into new big end bearings and a tune for it. Keep up the great work fellas 🤙

      I really like how you've retained the stock airfilter assembly. Also while you've got the sump off and doing a bearing roll-over because of kilometres, why not throw an oil pump at it?

    • @johnjosephson9277
      @johnjosephson9277 6 месяцев назад

      You have to dig through the timing case to get at the oil pump. So having the sump off doesn't make it that much easier. I also have a suspicion that they're not the cheapest thing.
      I'd assume if the oil pressure is still good you wouldn't go there.
      I'm not a mechanic. 👍

    It’s videos like these that make me think back to a few years ago when Al didn’t want to string two sentences together in front of the camera. And Woody couldn’t focus to save his life.
    I’m taking the piss cause I’ve always loved the content you guys make. You’ve have come so far following your passion. Keep up the great work guys! Thanks!

    Second hand Subaru turbo and reusing the stock exhaust manifold means this could be done for under $1000 easily. Nice job boys.

    Nice to see a real mechanic that can fabricate parts and not just swop parts out. Also good to see people that are not driven by greed, just out to make the most money. Actually sharing their knowledge. Good on you mate! 💪👌
