Johnny Mathis is known for his beautiful romantic ballads. He has a very unique velvet voice. His music has spanned over 6 decades. He had so many great hits such as "Chances Are", "It's Not for Me to Say", "The Twelfth Of Never", "Gina", "What Will Mary Say" etc. He also did a couple of duets with Deniece Williams "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late" & "You're All I Need to Get By".

I think if the world en mass would listen to this style of beautiful music, sung by an absolute master, we'd all calm down and be kind to one another. Btw, Johnny is still singing at 88 and to be honest, there's not much difference in his voice can still hit some pretty high notes, no warble that older singers get and he is as magnetic as always. Thank you Stan.

Chances Are, It's Not For Me To Say-his greatest Hits album was on the charts for decades-even his Christmas album is one of the best sellers of all time.

I heard him sing this in a concert. As I'm listening I can picture him. We were in an outdoor arena with a full moon and lots of stars. ❤❤❤❤❤

Composed by Jazz pianist Errol Garner in 1954. Lyrics added by Johnny Burke in 1956. This is from Johnny'[s finest album, ever " Heavenly " , music arranged, orchestrated, & produced by the great Glenn Osser at Columbia records. in the spring of 1959. The album is an absolute Masterpiece. ------------------mjl, 77 y/o

He's a great singer. Been around a long time. Recently heard his great song from 57, What will my Mary Say. It's so beautiful, one of my favorites. Worth checking out.

Such a relaxing smooth song! Beautiful! It also reminds me of an old Clint Eastwood movie “Play Misty for Me”, which involved this song.

I know you like Ray Stevens. Ray won a Grammy for his version of Misty. You should check it out. Same song, totally different treatment.
