First of all, thank you so much for your educational videos, they have been very helpful.
Watching most of your videos about Minoxidil and Finasteride, I have a very simple straight question.
Taking an example of a male with male pattern hair loss and hair thinning, most likely due to the DHT imbalance, which of the following options or combination of options will give the best results. Best result would be healthy thick existing hair with some new hair growth if possible on the head. Keeping is view that the main objective is to have hair on the head. Disregarding how fast or slow it works.
    1- Topical Minoxidil only.
    2. Topical Minoxidil with thrice a week 1mg Finasteride.
    3. Compounded Finasteride and Minoxidil.
I know Finasteride has very low risk of any side effects, but I am happy the way I am and feel otherwise, except for the hair thinning on the top of my head. If it does not have a significant difference in the result, I don't feel comfortable to play with my entire body's chemistry to have hair on my head and would prefer to just apply Minoxidil topically forever. How would that work for my hair on the head?
    Thank you and stay safe.

    1) I'm an athlete, and I'm wondering what/if finasteride would have any affect on muscle hypertrophy?
    2) what purpose does dht have on the body that might be affected by reducing its production? I know it's a more potent androgen, as mentioned in one of your videos.

Does any one know the science behind why hair specifically thins out in the patterns that it does? I have had a slow, diffuse thinning on the top of my head since I was 17-18 (low hair density over most of the top of the scalp). I am now 29, and although my hair has always been noticeably thin up there, it is not receding anywhere and I still have my original hairline. The hairs that I have left are relatively strong and do not look to be miniaturised. I am wondering why the follicles that I have left are different from the follicles that have already disappeared from the same area. Why does the hair not all go at once from the affected areas?

I'll ask the same question here as I did on another video.. Does the long or short term use of finasteride casue shrinkage of the penis or the genitals? It is not a topic you've brought up so far, but it's a common question on the internet. It has made atleast myself to stop medication till I can get a clear answer from someone who knows what they're talking about, like yourselves or someone with your knowledge

I've read that finasteride can cause prostate cancer. Is that anywhere close to reality? And if your patient doesnt want to take finasteride, what is alternative that you would recommend?

I started fin beginning of the week, took it for only two days. I stopped because I was getting gynecomastia side effects. I now have tenderness in the breast area as well as rubbery lumps under the nipple. Will this go away now that I have stopped? It’s been three days since stopping and I still feel a slight pain in that area.

Hi! I have a question. I started taking finasteride 8 months ago. I saw immediate stabilization and regrowth on my temples and crown after 4 months. But now I noticed that my hairline is receding (the density and crown stay the same). What is going on and what would you recommend?

@@Itsmemario24 I switched to dutasteride 5 months ago and added topical 1% hydrocortisone gel with tretinoin for the anti-inflammatory action. My temples are getting better now, not to mention the boost to overall density!

I'm sure many of your viewers who do not tolerate finasteride very well or rather take a natural product turn to saw palmetto... An interesting topic for a future could be alternative options to finasteride. Also is it beneficial to take finasteride and saw palmetto together?

Hi Doctor, Please answer my following question:
Q - I am not shedding lots of hairs, but I am experiencing thinning, so which therapy will be better in my case? Minoxidil or Finasteride?

    • @Taptapfail
      @Taptapfail 4 года назад +1

With minoxidil you are just buying some time. Finasteride will be 100% needed. Start with it always exept if you are 15 16..than you start minoxidil and add finadteride when you are 18 at least.

Sir please start a clinic in India .most of doctors in India are just hungry for money and there are so many clinics and we get confused. We are even scared to visit any clinic because they do not tell us the truth like you advice us and they just want to earn money. I have many friends who want to get advice or counseling but they are so much confused and do not know. We will really support you and will spread your good knowledge and they way you are guiding us honestly .even the patients are ready to pay high price for surgery but still doctors in India play with their health and emotions.so we request you to open here too.please. and please if you have some clinic here or do you treat here then share your number or address so that we can contact you.please sir.save us from these devil and greedy doctors
