Organization is key on the road too! I could tell the DOT takes it easier on me on inspections because my truck and paperwork is clean and I’m non confrontational

My authority went active , March19 , they just got in touch with me this week for mine.
I had mine on the 8th of the month. They asked a lot staff. Did well on this one.
I just submitted all my information to them in January. I keep my paperwork in order. It was quite easy to satisfy them. The guy I’m working with was great. So I’m just waiting for the outcome. But if you’re organized it’s a simple process. I was able to submit my stuff within two days. I sent extra stuff to show my compliance. Good luck everyone ☘️

A lot of this sounds like it applies to CDL only. Is that true? I’m a one man show Non-CDL hot shot. So is a lot of this not aimed toward me?

Question we have at interstate Authority but we’ve only been doing intrastate only agriculture we stayed within the 150 air miles do I still need to send the whole list of documents they are requesting in order to pass our safety audit?
You have to send them everything they asked for
If you are solely operating “intrastate” you need to change your operations on your MCS-150 to “intrastate”. When you make that change you will not be required to complete the audit

They give you a website to upload each thing individually. I'm going thru it now.

tpa is 3rd party administrator. clearinghouse is the federal drug testing data base

Are they still pulling in new entrant’s equipment for mandatory inspection? That use to be a part of the process years ago also.
I think they like to see you get some inspections under your belt
Question. If a truck in front of me had rocks flipping up and cracked my windshield is that okay or against dot compliance thanks
If they are in you line of sight or within the swipe of the windshield wiper it can be a violation. plus, they can spider web at any time. maybe you can get the chips filled before that
@@DIYSEMI it’s the passenger side and the windshield wipers do wipe over it but it’s not in my line of sight.
