    The voice is only in the left channel until minute 5:55!
    Great content, anyway

      Tank94 thanks for this, I don’t know if I can fix this now. I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen next time...

    Is it just me, or does a lot of this video have its audio panned far left?
    Also, "ancien" can simply mean "old" in French; it doesn't always have the same connotation of distance that "ancient" does in English.
    Other than that, great video!

      Hi Daniel, yes, I must have forgotten to set the audio to mono. Correct about ancien, which is how I interpret it as well

    I love these videos! I’d love to see something either on reeds (« modern » scrape or otherwise) and maybe even italian bassoons in the baroque and classical era

      Great ideas! I’d love to something on Italian baroque bassoons, but I’ll need a lot of help from one or two experts for that!

      Zachary Coronado yes, exactly. Honestly I think it would take a team because I know that certainly one of the people I’d want to talk to doesn’t speak English...

      @@burnbassoon somehow I feel like this involves Azzolini or maybe even Peter de Konigh. It would be revolutionary for the historical bassoon community though

      Zachary Coronado both of them speak English very well!

    i once heard that classical bassoons of the late 18 century have a much more instable sound that the so called "baroque" ones, is that true?

    • @burnbassoon
      @burnbassoon  3 года назад +1

      Nitai Riello I think it would be true when referring to the many attempts at copies of those instruments. Only in the last 5-10 years has the quality of ‘classical’ instruments surpassed the copies of baroque bassoons. This probably has something to do with the demands on players today.
      I’m not sure that the instability thing had to do with originals...
