hi general statement - the people i drew in my video do not represent anyone in particular; their character designs are purposely random and do not reflect the appearance of actual people i've dated and how they look. the breakup story details are left purposely vague as the point of this video is to help you, the viewer, process a breakup, NOT to bash anyone i've dated. do not bother / interrogate / god forbid, hunt anyone down and claim to do so "on my behalf"-- that is cruel, that is disgusting, and i outright discourage it and disown any "fan" doing this.

The whole "you'll find love when you stop looking for it" thing is something I roll my eyes at. I met my wife while we were both actively looking for a partner. If I had stopped looking, we'd never have met. I used to hear this one a lot, but I never gave it much thought until after I met my wife. She's also the only romantic partner I've ever had, or could ever want to be with.

      @Cheetahgirl_Studios Год назад +106

Same here. This video kinda helped me realise that I’ve developed an avoidant attachment style after having to break it off with my two best friends. I’m always asked by my mom why I don’t go out with my friends, or why I don’t text them. Because I’m scared. I know my fear’s irrational: my friends are good people. One of them even told me point blank to break it off with my manipulative best friend because they could see that they didn’t see me as a real friend. But I’m so scared of placing that much trust in people again because last time I was lied to and used by someone who strung me along in an attempt to isolate me. Who downplayed the trauma I went through because it made THEIR life difficult.
And that part when Ily started going over all the what ifs… it broke me. Because that’s exactly how I feel in friendships now. I want to trust people the way I used to. I want to be able to text with my friends for all hours of the night the way I used to. But I just can’t bring myself to. It just… hurts too much.

Today I lost my most beloved lover, he's been my best friend since we were toddlers, a few weeks ago he confessed his love me, when I got the message that he was gone I started bawling my eyes out. Unfortunately his funeral is going to be in California and it's next month exactly. I'll be busy on that exact day and can't cancel plans just to take a few days to drive to California. Hi Kyrie, I just also got into my very first relationship with my very first crush in my mid twenties. I get your fear, I didn't even know I could fall in love and now that I'm here, I know that I've already changed too much to go back to square one. I recently came to terms that I identify as Demisexual/romantic, and that taking a long time and a lot of effort to fall for someone is okay and that there's nothing wrong with me.
You are worthy of love and happiness and you can and will find it. What helps me is understanding that my relationship is only one part of my happiness, joy, and love. Relationships are there to share and add to our happiness, not provide or replace it. They're also there to help us grow. Even if you lose your partner, you do not have to lose the ability to love or to find happiness. You are so much more than that, even if it takes a lot more to develop the feelings you see in other people. Keep faith, keep growing, keep finding people to love (whether romantic or not), and keep finding your own happiness in any and every stage of your life. You will survive and make it through whatever comes your way.

    This hit me so hard.
Two weeks ago I had my first real breakup, with the first and only person I have ever loved. We held each other when it happened, bawled with each other. It was ten years in the making and we had to say we couldn’t be in each others lives when our families had been close since we were 8 years old. I always convinced myself he was The One, that I would never fall in love again because I didn’t need to! He was my only option, but that was a good thing! He was my entire personality, and identity, my love, and my world. And if that sounds a bit toxic it wasn’t even the reason we split up, it got more complicated than that. But I won’t get into it.
My point is we still DESPERATELY love each other and want to be together.
And ALL breakup media I am recommended is all “they decided to leave you.” / “In the end you weren’t important to them.” / “It’s ok to be angry.” / “calm down and remember how horrible they were to you.” Etc…
This video was the very first piece of media in two weeks of doing NOTHING but sleeping and consuming media, that has even *mentioned* breakups where both people are still in love. Where you part on good terms, even if it’s sore or hurts. Where you don’t want to call them an ex because that makes people want to trash on them and you don’t want that.

Don’t worry! It takes 3 months for you to adjust to changes in life, whether that be becoming homeless, losing a job, or anything else, in time, just 3 months, you’ll be back to your default state of happiness.
I got blocked by a casual partner I had a crush on since high school. We were on and off for 8 years, and I thought that, above all, we’d still be friends… until he blocked me. He was my only friend. I felt guilty because after he did, I messaged him through other means, thus crossing a boundary. I didn’t see it that way at the time, I was having a panic attack and didn’t think about that. He said he blocked me because he thought I wouldn’t want to talk to him… probably a lie. Then I ended up, stupidly, sending him more messages, like a freaking wall of text, about how I’d pay him just to talk to be, platonically, one last time so I can end things on a good note, and he didn’t reply, probably blocked me, but if I check I’ll be torn to bits and pieces. He was my first, and my only. Knew him at 13, blocked at 21.
It’s just been a week. I have so many weeks left until 3 months. But I’ll survive, and so will you. I started a medication though, an anti-depressant, it’s called Zoloft. I’ve been on it before and it made me so happy, but it takes 4-6 weeks to work. So many weeks, 3 months, 4-6 weeks. Point is, time heals. I wish we were friends so that we could cry together and hug each other through these tough times. In the grand scheme of things, 3 months is nothing.

I think the most hurtful they said to me was "You're not a soldier like X. You are a housewife." Plus, I hate X. They were all smiling with perfect teeth."That ignited a bomb because of my issues with other people and men especially. No more of their visions so that I can be barefoot in the kitchen with six kids in a rundown trailer with people like Marilyn Manson pulling stunts and trashing whatever I do. Many have, boldly. The only good thing would be being abandoned by my baby's daddy. Thank God, I'd say. Yes, my children would be very emo, too. As a sick joke, I'm sure they'd make them worse off. ha ha ha Special ed is simply abuse for many kids, look at the cameras. We're such complainers. That's fine. Now they have to pay me with taxes. They'll try to get out of it, I'm sure. Satellites are naughty, naughty.

I'm happily in a relationship, but he's not my first relationship, and dang this hit hard. Btw, your description of breakups and why they happen is one of the healthiest explanations I've ever heard. So many people just blame the other person - they were either a horrible person who dumped you or a horrible person that you needed to dump, and reality isn't always like that.

That was the First Video of Your's I saw. It was my Introduction to subjects like; Abuse, Gaslighting, Grooming, Emotional-Blackmail. All of those awful things were originally taught to me through this Channel. However, For A while that Video and that Account of Trauma was the only thing I associated this Channel with. When you made more light-hearted videos they seemed odd alien almost Unnatural.
because it is UNNATURAL For someone to go through Hell and then Heal /s.

This was so comforting and validating for me. Especially at 7:56
My ex treated me like garbage the entire relationship because I allowed it. I developed an anxious attachment style due to my codependency (didn’t know that at the time). He would constantly start arguments with me to avoid pretty much anything that was pushing towards us being in a real relationship (going out for dinner, shopping together, going away for holidays, etc) and it only worsened over time…I met him after having been abandoned and betrayed by a friend of 10 years and then I was selfishly used by another ex friend to get over her own breakup and tossed aside once she got with the guy she’s still currently with. I just felt..worthless. My ex, upon first meeting, showed me kindness that later turned into control, manipulation and abuse. I stayed because I didn’t want to be abandoned. I didn’t want to lose him. But he broke up with me on my birthday for the 2nd time and I realized that day - I never deserved the crap I went through with and for him. I estavalished a boundary (no sex) and he immediately explodes on me. I recently learned he was using me as a rebound for the person he wanted all along. he was avoiding grocery shopping because she worked there….8 months into our relationship (they were together for 2 months)….and 3 years later I learned he was seemingly never actually over her…but he used her and she went on to find what she was looking for (a real relationship, not casual sex). And all that anger he felt towards her moving on was the reason he was a complete ass to me the entire relationship. My ex never actually wanted me. But because I was so shattered and vulnerable, I didn’t respect myself to stop putting up with it. He’s gone officially now and I find this video as I’m coping with the pain of losing him but also - that segment I mentioned validated me. I should’ve had better boundaries. I should’ve left him where I found him. Because all he did was break and use me and now he’s off pursuing the women he’s wanted all along. While I’m picking up my pieces of a future he never wanted with me.

It's also something that I think explains where my social anxiety and trust/vulnerability issues might come from.

I'm not gonna lie, the sentiment she has about relationships is really touching, the line about "if someone wants to leave let them leave" really hit home. She is 100% right that every breakup is a lesson. Though I have little experience with relationships as a whole, I can give the advice that sometimes you may feel an overwhelming desire to have a relationship, maybe that means seeking one or clinging to the one you have, but the most important thing is not to be in a relationship but to have a healthy relationship. If my partner told me that they think I'm a great person, but they want to move on, if my feelings were honest then I would have to accept their feelings. It might hurt but they are their own person and people change and we cannot always know why people do the things they do or say; sometimes we just have to accept them. I hope people who read this have flourishing and healthy relationships in the future x

oh god the bit about "we been going on for 3 months and talking about marriage", mine was within 2 weeks, this exact thing happened to me, I wanted a slow clear boundry relationship, with a person desperate for security and who had no idea of what a healthy relationship was, if it wasn't for covid I would have dived into a relationship I would never have recovered from and I am happy that I am confident enough in myself to see and identify that a toxic relationship was forming. She still stalks me; I wish the best for her, but I can never talk or see her again.

Oh my gosh, I feel bad for her tbh. Sometimes closure is just hard to find. It’s honestly just a sad situation, and I would recommend she go to therapy if she can afford it.
Tbh, that sounds like something I would do, I’m a very obsessive person, but I’m scheduling a therapy appointment and started medication yesterday. Every second of every day I think about him and I can’t make it stop. I keep crying. It’s because a lot of my memories contain him in it since I’ve known him for 8 years on and off, but if he blocks me, I have to respect that (though I didn’t before, but I learned that that’s not okay, though to some that may seem obvious).
I wanted to maybe follow him on Instagram after, like, 50 years, bc then he might be chill with me, but he might think I’m trying to stalk him or that I’m still hung up on him so I’m scared about how he may interpret that. Thinking about just not, and letting him just message me if he wants to, but the reason is because what if he doesn’t know how to reach me but wants to? Oh well. Hopefully my medication kicks in, I’m insane. It takes 4-6 weeks.

This is relatable in a lot of different ways for me..
Years back, i somehow found myself in a relationship i didnt want, but i didnt have any sense to do anything about it until a good month after when I realized that one sided love never works. He wasn't happy about the break-up, but we moved on.
Fast forward about four or five years, I ask a guy out and I'll be honest, I really dont know how to describe our relationship. He never really showed any actual feeling or affection towards me. We were "dating" for about three months before he said it wouldnt work and it broke me, to be honest. I still had feelings for him and didn't want him to leave and thats when i remembered that one sided love never works. It might be nice for you but for the other person, its judt awkward and uncomfortable. If you really love somebody, you'll let them go. And that's what i did.
I'm with somebody else now whom i love and the feeling is very much mutual. He makes sure i know that im loved every single day and that i'm never alone TwT. And that's honestly the best thing i could ask for; someone I love and someone who loves me back.
To any of y'all who are still looking for your one true love, you'll find them in time. It just takes longer for some people, but the outcome is always worth it. :)

This honestly represents how I’ve felt about people over the years. I don’t know exactly how I feel about them, but I learned over the years it can’t always work out. When any kind of relationship doesn’t work out for I end up a mess and it’s hard for me to trust others. Last year I was in a relationship, it was great at first, but after a few months I broke up with her because I thought she was being insane. But overtime I realized it wasn’t her, it was me. I wasn’t ready and I was being an absolute d bag. And if ever given the opportunity I would apologize saying that it was me. I would tell her she deserved someone way better me. I’m in high school and I’ve learned from my mistakes not just from that, but from other relationships, whether it was me or that person. Right now I’m not currently open with anyone. I’m taking time to myself and reflect on my life. I hope I will be more open with the outside world soon. But for now it’s best if I stay out of other peoples lives.

Being Aroace I struggle seeing relationships as anything more then friendship
I am always worried when I have guy friends that I am going to far, I don't want them to develop a crush on me
Yet a lot of them do
    Then what do you do?
    You tell them the truth
I have my dad who has told me how hard it is for guys to confess
I get that I understand that and I would never want to hurt them
Yet I don't have the same feelings
    So I deny
This can cause them to distance themselves from you
Nothing wrong with that of course!
If your looking for something more and I can't give that to you and you need to step away
    I understand that
As much as it hurts to say goodbye
Sometimes it's better for everyone involved 🥺

It still hurts sometimes, but just because something hurts doesn't mean its not supposed to happen. This hit me. Especially at 10:35. My college boyfriend, who was my first everything and dated for almost 2 years, told me after a date one night exactly the same: “I don’t see a future.” It broke me and 5 years later, it still hurts but I’ve slowly gotten over it with LOTS of friend friend therapy sessions. It went way too fast and that was our downfall. I haven’t dated since then but I’ve been talking to a guy lately and it’s going way slower, which is weird from what I know, but the right way. I’m not keeping my hopes up but just seeing where it leads.

Since we were casual, him just blocking me is considered to be normal in that space. Idc what anyone says, casual or serious, if it’s been a long-term anything, at least offer friendship, or say goodbye, or something. Leaving over text just shouldn’t be a thing for friendships, casual relationships, serious ones… I’m just so sad.

This video couldn't have come at a better time. My first relationship ended a few months ago; it was not too deep as it was mostly long-distance, but it meant a lot to me, and even though we ended on peaceful terms it was still hard for me to let go. Even now sometimes I feel like crying because I feel like I could have done something, and I had never envisioned the possibility it will end this way. And as I didn't talk about it to many people, I don't have ways to speak up about it and sort my feelings out. So...it feels comforting to know that my feelings are valid, and that I made the right choice in letting them go when they told me it wasn't working out. It's a little hard, but I'm sure I'm going to get through it.
    Thank you.

I gave my ex a second chance, we’ve been together since middle school and I’m in college now. He’s my best friend and I have watched him grow and change as the years went by. But even though it’s been 3 years since we’ve gotten back together, I find there are as many reasons for me to leave as there are for me to stay. im scared to lose the one person I could count on to be there to talk to and have fun with. It has been an endless cycle of being fine emotionally to sobbing over some small inconvenience in our relationship. I feel that we are not compatible anymore. Because of these reasons I burst out crying halfway through the video lol. Your words made me realize something, I just wonder if I’ll ever take action and do something about my feelings. Good luck to anyone else who is struggling with their relationships, I wish you peace and happiness.

I felt this way with my ex. It took him cheating on me a second time for me to finally do something about it. I had slowly been falling out of love with him for months and so he made it really easy to decide. I met my girlfriend towards the end of our relationship and I realized she made me happier and treated me better than he did. It sucked at first but in my loneliness I had her. We both just came out of toxic relationships and it was just good timing. It’s like they say you really do sometimes find love when you stop looking for it. Idk if we’ll last forever but it’s the first time I’ve ever felt like this for someone. So for now I’m going to hold on to it. It’s only a matter of time friend. Eventually we all find happiness.
