Things I didn't have time to talk about/draw but wanted to mention: -when the curtains fell during intermission we liked to dance goofily in the dark right on the stage to get rid of the stage fright jitters in preparation for act 2 haha -group trip to Denny's after the last day of the shows. Every time.
The only thing you shouldn' give me is any type of guns (but if theres no bullets that fine cuz i can close range combat with it if it has a knife on it) and long weapons
Those things are pretty rigged, aren't they? A bunch of kids each has to cater to the same audience with not much of a way to make their stuff more appealing to buy since IIRC you can neither change the price nor the product sold, so you can only really get ahead (and get the prizes for selling a certain amount) by buying your own product, not to mention the fact that 8-year-old kids don't exactly get their own money to spend so they have to ask their parents, further reducing your audience, so unless you try to cater to a different audience by selling to the public (which your parents might not approve of and is hard to do) you can't really do much to fundraise other than, as I said, buy your own stock.
And me buying at least 4 bars a day when classmates were selling them. I swear, this is almost like drug dealing, except the habit is more pleasant and tasty.

After her description of theater class I kind of wish I had chosen theater for my fine arts credit. I had chosen orchestra. I don't regret choosing orchestra, but if I could go back a second time I would choose theater. Edit: note that I said a second time. Middle school me and high school me would've not chosen theater because I was shy then. Plus I wouldn't want to give up my orchestra memories. edit 2: I wouldn't pick theater because I was shy then but doing theater would've gotten me out of my shell sooner in life. Unless there was drama (and I don't mean the kind of drama in plays).
Once I did a an act for the hunchback of notre dame (I was Quasimodo) and I was literally the only dude in the play and one of the three guys that auditioned.
As someone who suffers from speaking in public, I can sympathize with the preference of performing to an undistinct eldrich mass of humanity, instead of you know.... just people.
I did my first musical this year! We’re a small town, so we cast everyone, and it was really fun. And then the teacher who’s directed for about the last 5 years was fired. Coincidentally, this teacher taught choir as well as part of speech and directed colorguard. Great.
THERE'S ALWAYS THAT *ONE* PERSON WHO'S CONSTANTLY SLACKING and just doesn't give a care even though everyone else is working so hard. Ugh. Makes me madder than "Bethany"
Yeah, I felt that. So infuriating!! It's understandable if someone doesn't care 'bout the task (which in this case is the theater show), but letting that lack of caring badly affect the task is unacceptable. When someone doesn't care, they should be honest about it; leave the whole thing before there's any damage.
I joined the drama club cuz I wanted to try another club that might be just fun. And there was a ton of participants who joined the drama club. Then, we have this (Cosplaying) event to act as one of the frozen Characters like Elsa and Anna, etc.. We needed more people to join in the stage play since we had tons of new members who joined drama club, but they all slacked off and only 5 to 10 members participated in the act. But it turned out great in the end without them. 🔥✨💗 Best club I've joined 😂
wait- why is mr. c THE BEST TEACHER IN THE HISTORY OF TEACHERS??? first of all, he made all his plays so sapphic it melts my little heart and now he’s THROWING SHADE??!!?! THIS. LEGEND.
As a theatre kid, I ADORE theatre. I love seeing other people's experience's, cause to me one of the best parts about theatre is all about how each show is super unique!
No way, you did Comedy of Errors! I did too! We combined it with Loves Labors Lost as a two week intensive during the summer. Yeah, we learned everything in two weeks and then performed at the end. I was cast at the Governor's Wife. What you described for the scene where Antipholus threatens to claw out Adrianna's eyes sounds a lot like how it was directed in my production. The more we practiced it, the angrier and more intense it got. I think it really added to things. The rest of the play is really hilarious, and then you get this, where things are suddenly very real.
I agree, theatre is really a good extra-curricular activity (even for those who does not like acting/performing). I just wanted to say that theatre is not limited to performing alone. (I was part of a mini-theatre production in our school once; a stage manager to be precise). For those who has stage fright or bad at acting (like me), you can always try backstage roles like director, stage manager, dramaturg, production designer, etc. They are a bit overlooked per se.
Damn when Soley got mad at that one person they must’ve all been like “I am very uncomfortable with the energy that we’ve created in the studio today!”
The one thing that pisses me off about my school’s theater is that it’s the same few kids that get the main role each and every fucking year. I can’t get my breakthrough and I’m honestly depressed about that.
Me reading the comment :its me but not as bad as mine because i was the one who has deepest voice and can't say things loud because im gonna lose my voice
It was the same with me. I was usually the Comic relief character in most plays from primary school onward, so i was rarely casted for anything else n i couldn't rlly showcase anything else other that a couple well-timed jokes. So by the time i was 14, i'd dropped drama altogether.
Oh I will tell you why, those kinds of schools want to make their popularity rise that they have great students when they don't even let the average or not so good students shine, they don't give a damn about students
Bethany sounds like my brother. -Gives "criticism" and hates receiving it -Needs to be the center of attention or throws a massive fit -Not going their way, throws fit -Entitled -Hates others being even remotely more successful than them -Makes everything about themselves So, yeah, the worst.

Thank you for always putting so much love into these 😁
Emily: *having a nervous breakdown*
Dude with the chocolate: you’re ok, want some food?
shh have a snickers
@sayori You're not yourself when you're hungry.
I want this to happen to me

That guy seems really sweet. :)
The fact that there wasn't enough guys is so accurate. SO ACCURATE.
Yeah, same as my freshman theater class
Emirichu: I did theater
Me, a theater kid: 👀
Yes 😌👀
SAME
I’m still a theater child
Yesss
I love doing theater even though it makes me EXTREMELY anxious
The dude giving a chocolate was the most wholesome thing entirely it restores my faith in society and he gives me Remus lupin vibes
As someone who suffers from speaking in public, I can sympathize with the preference of performing to an undistinct eldrich mass of humanity, instead of you know.... just people.
I love the moments when teachers confess how annoyed they are with a stuck up kid
honestly made my day
I hate it when people come up to me and unnecessarily criticise my drawings when they can’t draw so much as a line. Looking at you, Umar 😒
I liked this comment so that whoever “Umar” is will have a chance to see an astounding display of pettiness.
Jokes on you! I have no confidence in social interaction anyway!
People named Bethany gang where you at?
Criticism is how I breathe nowadays. When no one speaks up about my work when I post it, I get really nervous on whether it is really good or not.
@@DallySkyeAnims whatever your work is i'm sure its awesome
@Umar 🔫😐
I did my first musical this year! We’re a small town, so we cast everyone, and it was really fun. And then the teacher who’s directed for about the last 5 years was fired. Coincidentally, this teacher taught choir as well as part of speech and directed colorguard. Great.
As a theater kid I can confirm I also wanted to gouge out the eyes of the person who dropped out of the play
Same here- theater AND a choir kid

THIS. LEGEND.
oh being in plays is AMAZING. It's like all of you are FAMILY. I have only ever been in one play, but I'd really love to do more.
That guy who gave Emily a chocolate bar dude what a legend
Santa Claus is such a nice person.

I don't think I'll ever understand how actors manage to do their performances on stage without burping at least once. Especially in musicals. 💀
@@NiclasLoof You mean you seriously haven't imagined actors belching their high notes in musicals before?
Mr.C's voice makes me wanna watch multiple documentaries
CDawgVA doing a NatGeo documentary sounds hilarious
Yesss hearing Conor in a documentary would be hilarious 😂
As a theatre kid, I ADORE theatre. I love seeing other people's experience's, cause to me one of the best parts about theatre is all about how each show is super unique!
i dunno why "o, bind him, bind him!" sticks in my head so much but it does
is funny
“So Perry’s character changed to a lesbian named Paris who was still hopelessly pining after Joanna”
Why do I love this
i love it too
I love it as well and as a gay 18 year old male, I'm allowed to say that.
I am so glad you noticed that! That energy is iconic, and I wish I could have that opportunity in my life lol
I legit shouted period and my brother texted me “wtf -_-”
Sometimes I forget that Connor is a voice actor despite having VA in his name.
For the longest time I always thought it was VIRGINIA

No way, you did Comedy of Errors! I did too! We combined it with Loves Labors Lost as a two week intensive during the summer. Yeah, we learned everything in two weeks and then performed at the end. I was cast at the Governor's Wife.
What you described for the scene where Antipholus threatens to claw out Adrianna's eyes sounds a lot like how it was directed in my production. The more we practiced it, the angrier and more intense it got. I think it really added to things. The rest of the play is really hilarious, and then you get this, where things are suddenly very real.
I have a "Bethany" in my class. She's exactly like that. Except she's not called Bethany
I have an ex friend who was a "bethenny" 🙄
I guess everyone has a Bethany in their life
RIP people who's actual name is Bethany
lmao same , except she was more of a karen
I used to know a “Bethany” but we aren’t friends anymore
I love how they didn't have a girl pretend to be a guy they just straight up made it gay
Ya oml I wish my theater would do that
Same!!
My school could never
My school would cancel it bruh
If it EVEN DID THEATER FROM THE BEGINNING
"Mr. C wAs tHaT sHaDe yOu jUsT tHrEw???"
I'm crying lmao 🤣 😭 💀
Same thing for me with solos in choir
Me reading the comment :its me but not as bad as mine because i was the one who has deepest voice and can't say things loud because im gonna lose my voice
Awww RIP
It was the same with me. I was usually the Comic relief character in most plays from primary school onward, so i was rarely casted for anything else n i couldn't rlly showcase anything else other that a couple well-timed jokes. So by the time i was 14, i'd dropped drama altogether.
Oh I will tell you why, those kinds of schools want to make their popularity rise that they have great students when they don't even let the average or not so good students shine, they don't give a damn about students
Bethany sounds like my brother.
-Gives "criticism" and hates receiving it
-Needs to be the center of attention or throws a massive fit
-Not going their way, throws fit
-Entitled
-Hates others being even remotely more successful than them
-Makes everything about themselves
So, yeah, the worst.
@@bethany7706 LMAOI
