Budget revolvers have their place! Years ago, I assisted a lady friend to purchase a Charter Arms 38 Spc snubby and two boxes of shells. With coaching over two months, she finished the first box and part of the second box. She learned to draw it smoothly, and cock/uncock as needed; she named it 'Hermann". Some years later, while riding around with her ancient Dad, a hoodlum boldly tried to hijack her car at a car wash. 'Hermann' rolled out, and the crook ran for his life back to a nearby car; as taught, she used a two hand hold, and kept her eyes focused on the target until the threat was completly gone. She said it was the best $150 she ever spent.

Have had a Taurus 85 Blued Steel factory bobbed-hammer for more than 20 years now. Little gun has been carried everywhere, has been dropped in the dirt, and bounced off concrete multiple times. Still works flawlessly and is as accurate as my S&W J frame or Ruger SP101. Recently put Crimson Trace laser grips on it! Tough little gun will likely pass on to my heirs through several generations! I like having a hammer, and even if I didn't I don't have the know-how to do as clean of a chop job as you did. I almost got the 605. But I would have also carried 38s in it. So I went for a six round capacity. I've seen the damage 38 Special does to people. Police didn't carry it for fifty-eleven years because they were stupid. So when its the 856's turn for EDC, I feel well armed but I always have one of the 380s deep concealed.

I received the proper holster, the size double 0 from Allen
It does not fit the 856
The revolver will not go far enough into the holster for the trigger guard to be covered, and it does not sit low enough in the pocket
So if you get the 856, you might want to go with a DeSantis or other brand of pocket holster that is made specifically for the 856
I'm assuming the difference is in the six shot cylinder, and perhaps a larger window in the frame because of said cylinder

For a more accurate example of your revolvers "Per Cylinder Chamber Lock Up" capability, after unloading the weapon, close the cylinder.
Perform test at room temperature on a "cold gun" not recently fired.
Then, on a standard "Hammer" configured revolver, with thumb, pull the hammer back to it's maximum rearward position and "hold it"
(On "exposed bobbed hammer" revolvers, your going to have to "start" rearward movement of the hammer with the trigger, then grab the front of the burr hammer with your thumb and continue to pull rearward and then hold)
Place index finger inside trigger guard and pull and "hold" the already rearward trigger to it's most rearward position.
With the "weak side" hand, try and "rock the cylinder" up and down to determine how well the cylinder is and/or stays "locked up"
Repeat process at every chamber position, on "production guns" all chambers should be "uniform" for the most part with little movement, excessive movement in one or more chamber positions may require a trip to a qualified Gunsmith and/or a return trip to the manufacturer.
The issue to the Carry holder is, if one or more chambers are "excessively loose" at some point of use the hand may "slip" off the cylinder ratchet contact point and fail to “rotate the cylinder” rendering the gun inoperable
And of course you know when that is going to happen.

Being an elderly retired cop, my back-up was a Charter Arms Undercoverette .32, and my primary carry was the Colt Official Police .38 in blue steel and a 4-inch barrel. My backup has (still have it) a weight of just 16-ounces and I wore it in an ankle holster. This compact snubby gave me six-extra shots of .32 Long, as a "get-em-the-hell-off me" life insurance policy."GOD" protected His unworthy servant during my long years of service, and it was "He" who protected me. But many cops then, and today, carry some kind of back-up if they are in uniform patrol. I qualified each year with my primary (Colt OP) and secondary (Undercoverette) per State of Ga. regs. My little snubby got filthy riding down there on my right leg and over a period of years of hard cop wear & tear, outrageously hot, humid Ga. weather, running after dirtbags, wading through mud puddles, and other assorted gun abuse, the blue finish was almost gone. That little Charter Arms was/is one durable little snubby. That six-shot, compact, Undercoverette took a beating riding low. We worked a 6-day on and 3-day off schedule, and after a 30-year partnership with me, in a backup capacity, this tool needed an overhaul in outside appearance. I sent it back to the Charter Arms Factory for a reblue and trouble shooting inspection. My experience with Charter Arms was superb! I got a nice "atta-boy" note on my years of service. I had included a brief history on my CA .32 and the lengthy partnership I had enjoyed. I wanted to let them know that a Charter Arms had traveled a long hard road with me, with a good service record of "NEVER" needing any repair. My point in mentioning this "Tale-of-the-Gun" was the years of reliable service a Charter Arms Revolver had given, and brand spanking new in the early 70's, when I became a cop, the coast was 80-buckes if memory serves. A 30+year association with a very inexpensive firearm. Sorry for the length of this posting. Thanks for your video, it brought back good memories of my little .32 snubby.

The .32 round that was used most was the 98-gr. round nose lead bullet. A super accurate round with not a lot of hitting power. For myself, thank GOD that I never had to go to my Undercoverette.
