  • Thank you for taking time out of your day to come and hang out with me. I hope this gave you a bit of inspiration. You really can use just about anything to make your own stencils. You could you cardstock for a one of version or a thicker bit of plastic saved from some packaging or a cover from a cheap notebook book. There are so many options.

Sasha, I have been watching your videos for quite some time and didn't realize that I had never subscribed to your channel! Glad you mentioned subscribing in your video. I came to your channel after watching one of Tasha Foote's videos. I like the style of video that both of you make. So many other crafters seem like they are making a commercial for some high-dollar crafting companies. I learn so much from you and Tasha. Your techniques are easy to mimic and I can use supplies I have. Your cards are simple and lovely. So, thank you for continuing to inspire us!

Awe Janie thank you so much for subscribing, means so much to me! Each subscriber feels like a mini hug as it shows me people like what i made and it is so lovely. Tash is one of my favourite RUclipsrs and we have become such good friends, i get so excited every time i see a new video pop up from her, she's so clever! Thank you for your kind words and self esteem booster :) People like you make this so rewarding. Big hugs

Great demo and a very pretty card. I love the idea of making your own srencils. An alternative to using the plastic pouches would be to run a laminatibg pouch thro your laminator.

Thanks for all your hard work in making these videos. I, too, have made many stencils by using my dies cutting some mylar sheets. The last thing I have been working on is using contact paper so that it can be stuck down on the project and no ink seeps under it. It cannot be used too many times, but once is enough for me and the benefit obtained. I have used the reusable tape or removable spray adhesive on the rest when using masks or stencils.

Hi Reva! Wow what a great idea, I should give that a go as well. And yes sometimes you only need a stencil for one project so it doesnt need to last- hence why it's so good to make our own rather than spending money on a stencil for just one project. Thank you so much for taking the time out your day to give me this great tip. Stay safe :)

CLEVER IDEA!👍 I Love the idea of making cloud stencils out of notebook protectors. I usually make them out of 110 lb cardstock, and I use it until I have to make another one. I'm going to literally "run" with your idea.

I have used the adhesive sheets so so much! I have bought so many packs. They last quite a while as you get 10, A4 sheets but they are so handy for intricate dies as well, saves a lot of faff!

I tried cutting acetate from some packaging and that really did not work as the die wouldn't cut through, I'll have to try again with something different. Did you know that Alina is now selling sticky vellum, very useful. Thank you for your video.
