    Hi Chris! I wanted to share with you that, when I first saw this video, I made the paste right away and I liked it as far as the consistency. It worked really well. However, for some reason, I could not stomach the smell of the baby powder. Since baby powder is mainly cornstarch, or, as you say over there, corn flour, I thought, what do I have to lose? So this morning, I made a batch of the paste with your recipe but I used only corn flour instead of baby powder. It works like a charm! I just made two beautiful cards! And no smell! 😊❤❤❤

      That's wonderful, I have said in some videos that I thought you could use cornstarch, but I had never actually tried it. It's brilliant to know that it works well! Thanks so much for letting me know. Actually it's the smell of the talc that I really like... it's great that we are all different! 🧡🧡🧡

    This must be one of your more popular videos. I remember getting some pigment powder as a gift with a purchase and the instructions were to use embossing paste to adhere it. At the time, I'd never heard of embossing paste. I had loads of other kinds of pastes but no embossing paste. Of course, after watching you for so long, I know now. I saw a comment from someone a year ago when you were ALSO on vacation. You have loyal subscribers.

    Really useful as I’ve found paste dried up as well. I add embossing powder sometimes to my paste through stencil and heat for a different effect too. Really enjoy your videos thank you.

    • @Chrissieannie
      @Chrissieannie  2 года назад

      The effect of embossing powder is different if you heat it immediately, or leave it to soak into the paste before heating. It's fun to see it happening!

    Your measuring cup says 1/3 cup, so less than you said, with more glue?

    • @Chrissieannie

      Take a look at the description, it’s all a little subjective, depending on the brands of paint & glue etc.

    Thanks for this tutorial. Have you tried coloring it with mica powders? Would you need to spray a sealant on your project after it dries so the mica doesn’t rub off, or does the embossing paste take care of that already? Can’t wait to give this a go.

    • @Chrissieannie
      @Chrissieannie  2 года назад +4

      I have used mica powder in the mix and didn't need a sealant, I think the glue allows the mica to be combined with the mixture.
