Talk about living on the edge!! As soon as you say "I don't know if this will work or not" your video is totally compulsive watching!!! More exciting than lots on TV at the moment. Love to do these daily journeys with you and the results are amazing. Technique definitely did work!!! xx
Oh boy that is beautiful Christine. I will search out your video on making the paste. Thank you so much ,I am disabled and love to watch your videos. Take carexx
You remind me of my Dad...he never threw anything away...LOL!...and, like you, he made so many great things from the stuff he didn't throw away!...So now you understand why I say you remind me of him.
Beautiful backgrounds Christine. Loved the colours and the different effects after using the stencils and then smooshing the leftovers then dabbing what was left, hardly any waste which us crafters love x
Bilingual….I love that! I was just wondering how you always seem to know the American word for things like corn starch. I love your little British sayings and your explanations. 😂
When you said you were going to wipe up the leftover after the first stencil, I said, “Oh no!” I was so glad you decided to smoosh instead. The result looked like ocean waves. Beautiful!
Hi Christine, great -- thoroughly enjoyed this. As you take one card off the coloured paste / stencil, grab another card to blot what's left on the stencil. I make some amazing secondry cards that way :-)
I do this a lot, i have made a video on just this technique… this one was a bit messy to do that with however, but I do love a negative print. Thanks for mentioning it for other crafters! ❤️
Thank you for sharing this technique. The recipe for embossing paste that you shared in another video is appreciated. As I watched, I thought about what I could substitute from my stash. For the Luscious Colours, I could use Distress Oxide Sprays or add water to Perfect Pearls and drop either of them on as you did. So I'm really excited to try this using what I have. Thanks again, Christine!
Oh my goodness, I love how your backgrounds came out, the embossing paste shimmery ones and the smooshed ones! I love to smoosh too, it's fun to see what you get. This idea was a fabulous one and I can't wait to see how you used these gorgeous backgrounds. Loved those colors! I love hearing your "words" for things as it is a bit different from the US. I love the way you guys say aluminum. It's so fun learning other ways to say things! Hugs, Brenda
My word I’m loving the ideas you are giving to us crafters of late, the swooshing you did of the left over paste and powders is beautiful. Thank you so much, take care.
One cannot have fun when one has to worry about your clothes. I have many pairs of jeans and shirts with splotches of paint and alcohol ink from my days of no apron. 😂😂 Have to be more mindful now that I’m retired and funds are limited.
I believe IndigoBlu has outlets in the US. If you email them they would probably let you know where, but you wouldn't get the 20% discount from the US sellers.
Fabulous background papers and just so much fun to watch you play. Thank you for sharing with us and now I'm off to watch your embossing paste recipe! ❤
New sub here. Really loving your videos and soooo glad I found you. I struggle with clean and simple cards so I'm totally inspired. I also sometime use decorators caulk from the pound shop as embossing paste, which can be coloured with pigment/mica etc. Sending crafty hugs xXx
Did you see my video where I did positive and negative prints from stencils? This one was a trifle messy to get a top print, plus I didn’t even think of it this time! 😆
I like the paste version best, although both are beautiful of course! I found the scraper tool in the kitchen section at the grocery store. But of course I ordered online the pretty powders. So sorry that they are out of that great blue you were using! I hope they get more! Thank you!
Beautiful backgrounds. I do the same thing whenever there's too much on my glass mat for me to consider just wiping away. One of the reasons I don't do a lot of "just background" sessions. I end up with way too many of them. This was a great color combination. Can't wait to see what becomes of these backgrounds.
Hi again Christine. Me being me can’t find your video on your homemade embossing paste. Please can you let me know the quantities and items you use to make it. I would be so grateful. Thank you xx
Hi Chris! I’m thinking about purchasing some of these luscious powders! Was wondering if you purchased sets or individual pots, and if you recommend any particular ones for a beginner to add to her stash. Thank you kindly!
I bought them individually, I just chose colours that I liked and that i thought would be useful for the sort of projects I do. They are really lovely! Don’t forget your 20% discount code CHRISRUclips

I was so excited that you schmooosed into the puddle 😂
I love doing that!😊

I guess there's is a limit to how many backgrounds you make but I hate to see a bunch of colour go to waste! 🤣🤣

It's a whole different language for some things isn't it! 🤣🤣🤣 many thanks ❤️
@@Chrissieannie Sure is!! But it is so fun learning new languages for common household things! 😁❤
That is gorgeous 💙
Thanks💙
Brilliant!!
Omg how fantastic. What beautiful colours. Can’t wait to see what you do with them.
Thanks so much 😊

Ooooh I love your experiments! ❤ Now I will need to find my big apron 😂 I make a mess when trying this these techniques. 😊
I'm must admit to wearing a large apron for this session! 🤣🤣🤣

Very true!
Lovely results!
Thank you! 😊
Thank you, Christine! I’m going o look for a similar powder line on the U.S. side. The shimmer is gorgeous!

Great idea and welcome ! 🥰
Love it. Now I’m off to try it!❤

Great technique..thanks
Thank you😊😊😊
Chris you should have taken a second print off the stencil that would have given you a reverse image

What a great technique. What else could you mix with the water if you don’t have those powders. These backgrounds are beautiful.
Maybe Perfect Pearls, Pixie Powders or Nuvo Shimmer powder.

I think I added the link in the description!
I love the stencils you used. Where did you get them I wonder?
I believe I mentioned the name of the stencil in the description below the video

@@Chrissieannie thank you!!
Is embossing paste the same thing as texture paste?
Very similar!
