      Thank you, I really do appreciate it. That actually means a lot. I try to put a lot of work in on the channel and I hope to grow it more and put out more content soon. I have a lot of fun with it, but unfortunately life has been really busy in other areas lately too so I haven't quite as much time to work on it as I'd like. I've got another video about half way done though and I'm hoping to have it out early next week!

      Actually, i had some free time and managed I work on it today, so I am premiering it in just a little bit. I've never really done weekend uploads before, so this is going to be something new schedule-wise.

    That’s a good take on the situation at JGR. I totally agree that they’re in turbulent times over there.

      Thank you. As a Gibbs fan it's concerning to watch. Obviously no two situations are identical, but I just see some similarities to the fall of Roush. I think that they will be able to keep Hamlin, but I said the same thing about Busch, so I'm not sure my gut should be listened to on this.

    This is interesting. JD and Coy were going to be the ones to take it over. I know there was an announcement with the awards in Nashville that Denny Hamlin will be taking over some added leadership positions inside JGR. But lets face it, even if he retires in a few years; he has 23XI to focus on. There is no way Denny could run both. So who is going to run and take over JGR one day?

      One of JD or Coys sons

      Could be, Ty is way too young to be ready, but I'm not sure how old all of JD's kids are

    I’m with you in the concern with Joe Gibbs racing as a fan of them and Toyota even though Kyle Busch is not with the team anymore and is still my favorite driver. I guess I’m a little more optimistic as I think they will go through a soft rebuild like Hendrick. I hope it doesn’t end up like roush but if it does I’ll still be a fan let just hope this period goes well for them. And I think nemechek is probably getting that 19 when truex retires.

      Yeah, I don't mean to sound all doom and gloom, like I said, I don't think it'll be as bad as Roush. Honestly, I think Gibbs' rebuild is going to be somewhere in between the rebuilds of Roush and Hendrick, my hope is that they are closer to the Hendrick side of that spectrum than the Roush side.

    One more JGR concern- Joe Gibbs is 82 years old. The recent death of Joe’s son Coy, along with older son JD’s passing a few years ago, left Gibbs without a successor. What would be left of JGR without Coach Gibbs? Yes, losing drivers & sponsors is a concern, but I don’t see JGR lasting too long without Coach Gibbs.

      Yeah, honestly I had that thought, but I didn't really want to dive into those waters in the video with how recent the death of Coy was. Just hoping for the best for the family on that one.

      @@RuffMotorsports93 Yeah, good call. And that’s not even just a Gibbs-specific problem. Hendrick addressed it by expanding Jeff Gordon’s role. Roush addressed it by bringing in Brad Keselowski in an ownership role. RCR hasn’t openly addressed it, but I’ve seen Austin Dillon talk about the team, not like a driver, but as someone with a hand in management. Penske still has some questions. It’s not an easy thing to discuss, but aging ownership is definitely a looming problem.

    • @RuffMotorsports93
      @RuffMotorsports93  2 года назад +2

      Yeah, I think the next 10 years is going to see a lot of change in the ownership across NASCAR.

  • @JackCallSports
    @JackCallSports 2 года назад

    I think the problem is it’s been so toxic ever since JD died
    Joe wants excellence from Young Drivers and he doesn’t realize it’s an investment if you put a young driver in the seat also he needs the entire team to be a family
    Hendrick has been great at both aspects of this

    • @RuffMotorsports93
      @RuffMotorsports93  2 года назад

      Yeah, there really isn't anyone else who has that balance figured out quite like Rick Hendrick. HMS didn't become the best team in NASCAR by accident

      @@RuffMotorsports93 For example watch when Gibbs had a driver issue vs Hendrick
      Completely different
      Gibbs has it go on for a while
      Hendrick shuts it down immediately
