My grandmother was the same age as Elizabeth, and she was younger than I am now when Elizabeth became Queen. It's such a long time. I keep thinking how can anyone but Elizabeth possibly reign, how can we ever have anything but a Queen? People were impressed that my grandma made it to 93; but the Queen kept trucking for even longer. I'm glad she made it to her Platinum Jubilee. Rest in peace.
Hi Mori, Your comment really puts me unexpected, my great-grandma was born exactly same year as well, and ALSO died at her 93th.
I got extra sad about the queen exactly because of this, after my beloved great-grandma has passed, I sort of put my thoughts with the queen, indeed she is like a grandma of everyone.
Now I am extra missing my great-grandma.
My grandmothers friend is blind, near-deaf, and still alive at 106 years old. Very long time. Can’t imagine all she and the Queen have seen in their lives. Rest in Peace Queen Elizabeth II 🕊❤️
Your grandmother did not have an insane inheritance handed over to her ( I assume) , or dozens of people waiting on her . She probably had a real job too and had to raise her children to become hard working citizens who didn't spend all their lives freeloading and waving from their damn balconies. No comparison. God Bless the Queen's Soul but your grandmother lived a far more respectable life
Rest In Peace To Your Grandma
Rest In Peace To Your Grandma
She was the most respected head of state in the world. God bless and RIP
Kudos to the pilot for making this announcement. It was appropriate, and it was done sensitively.
you mean echo in eternity
It was completely divorced from the atmosphere of the passengers.
Muted the video and watch again.
@@kopynd1 Nobody except you knows what you mean
I know what it means, I don't know what he means. It means he watched Ridley Scott's "Gladiator" where the line "What we do in this life, echoes in eternity". I expect English isn't his first language and he was trying to refer to the pilots deed here as a great deed to do. I guess at any rate. Not sure what else that line could relate to here.@@Sarah_270

Wow, that is amazing ❤
I can beat that. I was in a cinema theatre in Mumbai watching the latest Bollywood blockbuster when suddenly the film stopped and an announcement was made of the passing and we were requested to stand up for the British National anthem. Then film continued afterwards. Surreal experience.
You know you're a legend when your death is announced during a flight
@J M If somebody dies suddenly from a stroke or a heart attack on a flight-
i mean due to her blood
Dude that crown was built on exploitation. Screw the monarchy.
@J M The pilot's wife dies from childbirth and the pilot is religious thus he asks the passengers' support and prayers for his dead wife and child
@J M she's not a legend LMFAOOOOO because she did nothing to earn her status. Seethe bootlicker
I was driving my coach out of London when I got the news, as you should I made the announcement to my passengers and the coach was silent for the entire trip, it was actually heartwarming but very sad at the same time. Was a horrible day.

@@garrytaylor9133 Your comment has made you look like a complete prat, and it's obvious by what you've said that you lack any self-respect. No matter how you feel about HM The Queen and the rest of the Royal Family, at the very least have some compassion. Think about how would you like it if someone made a comment like that about your mother or grandmother.

No party for her death? Where there whole family is a thief family killing so many freedom fighters of different countries,😂😂😂 ,man if a London solider died i would have been sad,but not for that shi* queen 😂 we need party
@Amber 😂😂🎉🍺👍
Never forget: When war came, rather than hiding in a bunker or running to a distant country, she put on a uniform and got her hands dirty. THAT is the epitome of a true leader. Not 'my country is under fire and you have to do your duty', but 'our country is under fire and I will do my duty'.
You do realise all those images of her in uniform and other such images were all media hype, to make her look like she on a level with the commoners. Just as all previous Royals, for centuries, they dress up in the garb, with medals they haven't achieved, simply to 'look' like they had taken part. Because they were in no way near the action, can you imagine the future king of England on the front lines? No way would they risk it.
She didn't, actually. However, it's worth remembering that she became queen due to the abdication crisis. She was just ten years old when the future path of her life changed in its entirety.
Just like her parents, her mother said she would stay by her father's side and not be evacuated. The queen was eligible to be called up as a single female so she did her duty, she could have been excused.
Watch A Royal Night Out
@@geoffpoole483 She did. She was in the ATS. Even if the abdication had not happened, she would have become Queen.. Edward VIII outlived her father dying childless on 28th May 1972. At which she would have become Queen 20 years after she really did. A wonderful monarch.
I almost got into a fight with a dude in a bar mocking her death. I am American born of English and Canadian descent. That is my Queen. Period. And I won't tolerate disrespect. Long Live the King ♥️👑🇺🇲🏴🇬🇧

Many UK commercial pilots served with Royal Air Force and HRH Queen Elizabeth was their commander in chief.
It's likely this pilot served and probably had a deep affection for Her Majesty.
A year on and I still find it hard to accept she's gone. It isn't often that we have a beacon of strength, faith and service as an example and guide but by fortune Elizabeth II was at the helm of this nation.
She is missed.
HM not HRH, but otherwise I fully agree!

Very well said!
I am an American through and through! We screw up things like every other country does. I serously was hoping Queen Elizabeth II lived to be 100 at least! Steadfastness and dedication to duties was absolutely 💯 shown with her Majesty the Queen! I honestly believe she would have made it to a 100 if Prince Philip was still around!
I am an American as well, and admired her my whole life ( my family was in Ottawa when she was there in 1967)...as we stood alone, a family of four, in front of the American embassy (who tipped us off of her arrival and route)...around the curve came a vehicle entourage, we stood there gawping at the view ...a limo stopped in front of us and a rear window opened up, a little gloved hand came out, waved at me, then my brother...the window closed and away they went. My mom took photos ,bless her, she got shots of the window closing as who would ever have thought that the Queen would actually interact like that with us. A memory of the most Gracious Queen ever. That's the beginning of my love for the Queen. I am 65 now, and still, I miss seeing her in the media. She was the GOAT. God Rest Her.
@@wanagi006 That is a great story! :-)
She was Queen all of my 66 years of life, it will feel weird not seeing her. I feel sad only because I was supposed to visit London a year ago (due to the pandemic) and was hoping of getting a glimpse of her but may she rest well, she served her country well, sending love and condolences to the royal family from Dallas, TX.
Well said. I feel the same way even though I'm not British 😪😰
a great accomplishment her reign lasts long. what a legacy.

@@Kyriosin lol talking about the worst parts of the world and you think people will agree with you? Pakistan harbors terrorists, Afghanistan is run by terrorists, Iraq put a leader so stupid in charge he used burn pits because he thought our aircraft couldn’t see him lol, I have no pity on the Jews or Palestinians(they can blow each other up for all I care), and Saudi Arabia produced terrorists that ran f***** planes into the World Trade Center and cut people into pieces with bone saws because they wrote an article about them 🤦♂️🇺🇸🤷♂️
Reading the comments after a couple of months and knowing how people queued for days and nights to pay their respects at Her Majesty’s lying in state, just makes those mean comments look even more ridiculous and unpleasant.
Thank you to all those who left pleasant comments.
I appreciate what that captain did.
After seeing the news she was in medical isolation that morning, I expected the news she had passed wouldn't be long in coming. But when I heard the official news later that day, it was such a strange feeling. I'd expected it, yet it was so strange to think. When someone has been part of the world for so long, a small part of you really starts to think they'll always be there.
She doesn’t have to be here to always be with us. Despite most people never meeting her she had such an impact that she will always hold a place in my heart. I can’t believe it’s been almost two years RIP your majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
I felt the same way after my grandmother passed at 100 recently.
Here in the States, we had news of the Queen's death. My grandmother was not a political person, and was not versed in world events, but seeing footage of the Queen with her dogs numerous times over that week, she kept commenting on what a sweet person she seemed to be 🥰 they truly were the Greatest Generation.
I have a relative who is a Bobby in Chelmsford, he was telling me that they knew it had been coming for a few days. Still, when the dispatcher came across the radio and said "London Bridge Has Fallen", he broke down.
When I saw the photos of her greeting the new P.M. I was stunned at how frail she had become just in the time since the Jubilee... I was stunned ,I tell you. She was ALWAYS Queen....my while life. The reports of her death were very difficult to absorb .It was like losing my granny all over again. Her cheeky bobblehead from the Jubilee is still sitting on my desk...keeping an eye on things .I can't bring myself to retire that bobblehead.
I served Her Majesty for 30 years, thinking I was a tough soldier.
The news came through when I was driving. I had to stop and have a cry in the car.
So sad the world lost that amazing lady.
RIP Your Majesty.
Why would you do that? She was never anything.
Would Britain be any less a circus for not having kings and queens?
amazing lady? really? somebody who lived decades over everybody's taxes?
Last year the royal family cost everyone in the UK £1.29 each.
😂
@bewlaybrother4460 But Kings and Queens don't make Britain great - it makes it odd like it is caught in some medieval time warp. The world looks at British politics like it is something out of Alice in Wonderland, especially during that Brexit circus. 'The House of Lords' - that seriously doesn't sound crazy to you?
That was very classy of the Flight Captain.👍

I was on a flight from London to NewYork, we had that same kind of announcement. Flying with BritishAirways, the pilot asked for a minute of silence, well fair the say that, after the first low humming "ohhh" and a gulp that went through the plane, there was more than one minute of silence and most of the people around me didnt even dare to touch their enteitainmentsystems and watch movies. It was quite a special feeling in that moment.
It was a weird day that day, me and my brother messaged that morning in the UK as it had also been our late mother's birthday - the building tension that began late morning was unbelievable and it was a shock how much it affected us when the news actually broke. Me and my partner drank wine and we had tears reflecting on the ending of a piece of our history. On a happier note, a gorgeous little boy daschund was also born on that day and we took him home two months later. The circle of life becomes ever more clearer the older you get. I was on the plane to Vancouver when the queen died. I got the news from BBC live on the plane. There was no special announcement, even our head of state died. However, it might because of the timing as everyone was asleep at that time (around 1:30am from the departure city) . I could not sleep when I first saw the news that royal members was rushing to the bedside, I knew something was up. I was then subscribed to the onboard wifi and discussed with family and friends…. I was so shocked so I have not slept on the long haul flight.
I would hope that the pilot announced that. Our plane was a long one so no one even knows the queen was dying when we were onboard. I was lucky enough to flip to the BBC news live at that time. Well maybe, just maybe, this one person has contributed more to this country in her 70 years faultless service than any other Briton? So maybe, just maybe, her passing is a tragedy for millions of people and her funeral should be something very special?
I mean have you not noticed the hundreds of thousands that have been queueing to pay their respects 24 hours a day taking 12 hours to get there? Does that not tell she WAS something special?
@@Cloud.Gaming733 Well given the billions she has generated for the UK economy she deserves every penny.
Not that this should be about money.
May she rest in peace
I'm mostly miffed that AHs think it's ethically acceptable to record everyone around them then post it online in hopes of going viral.
I'm in Orlando Florida and I'm deeply saden. I loved the Queen

The same woman that stole wealth from India and Africa?
Those Hasidic Jewish guys seemed really upset
pppffff, not their queen, like if you would cry for the last king of burundi
They probably just invested all they're money in 2022 Gold sovereigns.
Why should they be…?
A token of the new world order finally ran out of adrenochrome so of course they're upset.
More like they were making fun of the situation.
"More opportunity to rob the british"
Why would people be upset if they did not know her personally? Plus, she died of old age.
I was on the flight, the Jewish man laughed so many times. People were saying that’s rude and have shame, he shouted loudly 2 times “she’s your queen, boo hoo ”

What airline is this
Isn’t that a peculiar thing … the common person is struck and saddened over the death of a higher positioned person but their death would have meant nothing to the queen
JEW ALERT
They don't care....the rudest religion I know
Elizabeth II's death should remind us: since the 1700s, the British monarchy has been a huge, tangible power for peace in the world. This achievement should become clear in comparison with the histories of other countries. In the 19th & 20th centuries the U.S.A, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain and Greece suffered in various ways civil wars, political storms, and dictatorships. This shows what can go wrong in the absence of a head of state which is above politics. England, Wales, and Scotland have had no civil war since Culloden in 1746, or illegal dictatorship.
The great value of the monarchy is to provide unity and stability in a way politicians can’t. Canada & Australia were given self-government under the British crown, and they have avoided secession and civil war (so far). Both abolished slavery without civil war; both were helpful to defeating the aggressors in the two world wars. That was partly because they had the same head of state as Britain.
There will always be political violence and problems in the world, and billions of people who know or understand nothing of the British monarchy and the stability it brings. Since the 1700s, billions of people have lived under the British crown without civil war, lynching, dictatorship in their lives. God save King Charles III, and his successors.
As an American, I felt like a good friend's grandmother had just passed away. Queen Elizabeth was a wonderful woman.
God bless the Queen
Long live the King
This queen has destroyed India, wreaked havoc in it, destroyed Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq, burned it with America, occupied it, and handed Palestine over to the Jews, and we, as Arabs, are unfortunately sad for her, and she has hurt us in her life.

‘Ladies and gentlemen. We interrupt this flight to give you a special news bulletin.’ It’s just as well the plane continued flying.
I seriously don't get why would anybody be super upset if someone dies once they enter their 90's. Are they supposed to live forever? It's not that young. They lived a long life and that shouldn't make anyone mourn.
I don’t think it was just about the individual herself, but the entire century of events, the history she represents, in a way that connects everyone in a transcendent way.
It was a moment for everyone in the world. She had ruled through some turbulent times and kept her head (for the most part, and pun intended) and her dignity. Her presence had a calming effect. With all the issues she was still a woman to be very much admired. I sobbed, too. It was an end to an era in a very real and physical way.
And who knew what Charles was going to do as king? After his dynamic mother he's such a let down.
