Huh, three years later this popped up.
Same
Yeah
Yeah
Indeed
Fr
the algorithm has suggested this to everybody in 2026
Yoooo 2h
ye idk whats going on
@PhigrosMastertbh I was so sad when she died
Real
The algorithm - Queen Elizabeth II - Trump Walkabout - Where is The Epstein files
The rest is NOT History.
Not from the UK,
- but remember this moment with respect and still get tears in the corners of my eyes.
I was calling my friend when his dad just appeared, announced “queens dead” and left
I remember going over to my best friend's house on the day of the Queen's funeral
@Imjusttickectyboodear Nice story, why don't you write a book about it?
@MrFrog_wha?
@MrFrog_ Mind if I borrow this one? LMAO
@Mr_Eddie117 I bet you are fun at parties.
Can't believe it's already been 3 years since her passing
I know. I still say, "the queen- I mean, the king..."
Lizzie’s in a box 😂😂😂😂
Fr.. it seemed it was yesterday
@Averifiedperson7712shut up
@FreshDAmascus AHAHAHAHHA SOMEONE'S MAD THAT MOMMY LIZZY IS IN THE FURNACE WITH MAGGIE AND CHURCHILL
I love how the character on Channel 4 said, "Hold on," right before the interruption.
How tf does this have 2k upvotes but no replies
@GodOhMyGoshyeah
@GodOhMyGoshBecause people like and scroll. Nothing much to add.
I noticed that too 1:49
@GodOhMyGosh “upvotes” 🤡
everybody gangsta until the black and white BBC News Report screen appears
cringe
@thetraveller334 cringe
Edit : got ratioed lmfao
Uwu
@thetraveller334 Fraud of a human
@thetraveller334cringe
The channel 4 one was so ominous. The channel 4 logo being in the corner, disjointed, the screen black. Terrifying.
That one was definitely scary...
Why?
the fact that the logo was falling and then just cut to it being borked in the corner
almost thought that was an analog horror ARG.
I think that was just Channel 4's branding. But yeah it could be more colorful. Atleast the presenter wasn't confused at first *cough* ITV
Why the fuck did this get recommended to me 3 years later????
Same
same
Same
same
Same
ITV really messed up the most important announcement of a career.
Based
ikr what was that woman doing 😅
"Just say the Queen has died...ffs"
"THE QUEEN HAS DIED...FFS"
@0o.__lilly__.o0waiting for the statement to appear on the prompter?
Wtf Is ITV?
ITV had one job. And 50 years to prepare for it.
You had one job. Just the one.
Can you imagine how big the t*rd in her p*nt*es was when that broadcast was cut off? Hee hee hee hee hee . . .
Lol, actually 70 years
I get it though. You want absolute certainty. Imagine announcing it if she hadn't died.
Channel 5 didn't do much better. Amateurish and embarrassing.
Get this man an award - this was handled perfectly.
Huw ?
@D Everyone who has got an order or a medal has got it for doing their job perfectly
@D you're not perfect then :p
@DS9TREK no one is
This wont age well
3 YEARS ago, a whole 3 YEARS ago this happened, thats crazy.
I wonder how many people know what the BBC newsreader at 0:27 was getting up to in those 3 years... and if that had any impact on RUclips's timing.
Who even cares
@grzegorzostrowski8564 im not british so i dont care, but i remember it was a big thing back then
God bless her. I personally don't care for the royal family but she was a remarkable woman
its now 40 months ago
At 4:07, it will be one of the last times this anthem will be named “God Save the Queen” until another queen rules over Great Britain someday. 😢 RIP
And that will not be during our lifetimes. It's going to be kings - Charles, William, George - for the foreseeable future.
At least the Queen did away with male primogeniture and now Britain has absolute royal primogeniture. If the British retain the monarchy they will have a queen again someday.
God save the queen, well that really helped her out here
Hopefully George will have a daughter and name her Elizabeth, then we will have Queen Elizabeth lll.
Does he even have a girlfriend?@Chrisoula17
@cherylhulting1301Unless of course one of them probably William will do away with it as the Anthem of England keep it as British Anthem and use Jerusalem then we will only hear it when we come together as Britian such as honouring the War Veterans and Olympics and Jubilees
It feels so weird to experience this. She has been Queen since LOOOOOOONG before I was born. I knew she was old but for some reason I never thought that she would pass while I was still in my twenties.
Similar here. I am not even British, I am German - I was born in 1997 and she was always a stable factor in politics and such. I knew she was for my parents generation even more and even though I never had any real relations to UK or the Royal family I cried when I heard the news. I still know exactly where I was, I was driving on the A4 Autobahn in Germany as I did every day these days and right before I made myself ready to divert to A5 I heard the news reporter on the german radio channel say that she died - I literally cried and I still don´t know why. I am tearing up as I write this and can´t put together why exactly..
Her, Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart have been old the whole time I’ve been alive
She became queen while my dad was in utero and he was 70 when she died. Insane
I know. I remember what I was doing at the time i heard. I was out in my car with the radio on at the time listening to "Harry styles' - as it was" around a little after 3:10 in the afternoon (or a little after 1510 for the 24 hour clock people), and the dj came on after the song ended and I heard 'queen elizabeth' and 'passing' (or of similar wording) used in the same sentence and I was like....😳😲... and I looked her up online and sure enough, at least according to Wikipedia, she had passed. I ended up calling my grandfather's friend who was not home at the time but at a 2 1/2 to roughly 3 day car show a few miles from his house (I called him on his cell phone).
She became queen before my PARENTS were born, and they are both Boomers.
I was in my Freshman year of HS and me and my friends were goofing around in the locker room when someone brought up that the Queen Elizabeth has died and at first we didn't believe him but when everyone got on their phone, the locker room got quieter. Now taht I go back to it we all had respect for this lady when we don't even live in England.
I was in french class, grade 10 and someone goes "THE QUEEEN !! THE QUEEEEN IS DEAAAAD" And madame goes "okay you may all read one article and go back to your work please"
It's kinda funny that it's only been 3 years since the queen died and already some people are remembering it as if it happened decades ago and what they were doing at that time. I saw the same thing but for 9/11 or when princess diana died
I live in England and they should all abdicate
@dsd-d7mpiss off
@coldplayfan7357At least in those events, it was sudden. People are acting like this geriatric monarch didn’t show clear signs of age, with decreasing outside visits and doctors trying to keep her corpse moving as long as it could. Also, “Lizzies in a box” was probably the best thing to come out of that day.
y'all got this recommended? i'm in a rabbit hole rn lmao
fkoff
1:51 Channel 4 jumpscare
Yeah that shit made me feel like I was watching an analogue horror.
It’s so unsettling seeing the logo in grey and black
@Dogzill54Took the words right out of my mouth! 😂
The girl in the hat: "Hold on... the Queen has died, so I really don't have time for this soap opera drama with you right now!"
@Dogzill54frl
i find it fascinating that you can hear the paper being slipped to them... by "a few moments ago", they mean they found out THAT SECOND
Nah, they found out a good while before, they were just waiting on the official statement. They are given time to put on their black tie etc.
@ImNotBeingFunnythey were told to put on the black uniform to be prepared in case so I think they did find out that very second unfortunately
@sameehanadeem6411they weren't wearing black, that would be disrespectful...it went to a cutaway and he was in his black tie when they came back, that's literaly how I knew she had passed, because he changed his tie.
@lewisallan9963*you're
They knew hours before we did
There was something about knowing that I would be part of the last generation to see Queen Elizabeth in all her glory that really hit me, I remember being stood chatting to my dad as he watched the news before work and just shortly after the announcement occurred.
When my dad broke the news to me, it honestly hit me like a truck… I was devastated… but at the same time, I knew it was going to happen at some point… it was an eventuality that was completely unavoidable in the end…
@yoville73why do you care about someone who didn’t give a fuck about you nor every other person in the uk? She overstayed her stay in this realm
Why do you care ?
@thenavigation2536 I've never been a royalist, but since I was young, it had always been Queen Liz, so it was like seeing the change of an era, as it happened.
yes the old worlds is gone, Queen Elizabeth left and her light too from this world, it is chilling to know I’m in the last generation to see her
Almost 3 years ago, that's insane
How time has quickly passed. It felt like the news of her passing happened just yesterday
RIP (to) Daniel Naroditsky 😢
27 million of people witnessed her crowning as queen. But 4,3 BILLION of people witnessed her funeral. That’s aura
so more people wanted to watch her be put in the ground than be crowned?
@lordpelagius5078
1. there are more people nowadays than there were back in 1952.
2. way way way more people knew about her when she died than when she was crowned.
3. people like to see downfalls of others more than rises of others. it's sick, really.
@TheDarkCeratosaurus Your last point is quite ironic considering the multiple atrocities the royal family committed under the last century and a half, but yeah RIP regardless
@MJ_XOXOX i'm not talking about the royal family, i'm talking about individuals. queen elizabeth II is an individual who never committed any atrocities against any group of people, even though distant predecessors of hers may have.
@TheDarkCeratosaurus So you're not aware of the Kenya massacres that were directly ordered by her? Or the countless other acts that the empire commited in her name? You can't just brush that over buddy
A lot of people love her, a lot of people don’t, but we can agree that her death was extremely impactful when it was announced.
No lol
The most impactful death was Josip Broz Tito's, our president's funeral remains the largest funeral by number of foreign politicical attendees ever recorded.
No
Not at all haha
it really wasnt
You know somethings wrong when channel 4 shows the bars grey and background black
Toilet gang
That was so unsettling
@bigships real, I'm lowkey getting goosebumps
I got cold shivers watching this all over again 😭
Can’t believe it has been over 1 year! It feels like yesterday that she was still the queen! Rest in Peace.
How?
1:39 I can hear the realization manager screaming to her ears "just say It, god damn"
Cap
REMOVE YOUR PFP
lmfao you can literally hear it before she says it word for word "the queen" you can hear a voice in the background or almost like the mic is close up to an ear piece
I was in Wales when I heard that Her Majesty died. It didn't help the fact that I was about to lose my grandmother to lung cancer a month and a half later after the Queen’s death. Wales was the last place that I saw her and I dreaded leaving knowing I'll never see her again. But I believe that when the Queen and my grandmother first heard the news of their cancers, they both had said, "Well, I've had a good life." And we all agreed with them. Rest in Peace, Queen Elizabeth II and Jane Sparke Selby.
VOTE REPUBLIC UK ( Not My King ! )
@richardmurphy You’re not doing your cause any good by thrusting it upon a grieving grandson.
@ben-9123 What you know about any " cause " could be scribed on the back of a postage stamp you backward, brainwashed from birth royalist simpleton.
@richardmurphy4520 a certain Oliver Cromwell pretty much turned off republicanism in the UK proper, even without the arguments that Cromwell was a divine right King in all but name and/or some consider his government was a military dictatorship
@chrismc410 It was a half baked " put up " with royal collusion in clandestine vain attempt to deflect attention from royal dodge pottery. Cromwell was aware of this, and why they topped him after the fake flag revolt. The REAL republican revolution won't play ball with these parasite monarch's, lest they also find their heads in a basket.
ITV News really cocked it up.
Anyone can make a mistuke.
@TonyEnglandUKyou shouldn't be making mistakes during an event of this magnitude!
@kevinlongman007 You may have missed somethong.
One of those extraordinary times that you'll always remember exactly where you were when this news was announced
I don't remember where I was tbh
She died at her beloved Balmoral, and nothing better could be asked than that...❤❤
Asking "Can I not die please" would be a bit better.
I was in tescos and it came over the tannoy/speaker it was crazy
This was the the day after my bday
In the UK this was absolutely HUGE! Shops actually shut early and everything was interrupted and this went on ror a few days before things got back to normal. Businesses closed memorial and farewell events in pubs were happening pretty much daily and Street Buskers were joining other Buskers to sing the National Anthem or they just did it alone. R.I.P Queen Elizabeth ll
Yes we were in mourning for ages. Fly high Elizabeth II.
Really? none of this happened here in Scotland. People just went about their lives as normal
Yh I remember watching it N i did not know if it was true N I could not speak N did not know what to say N yh I'm a brit
@jakubrks That's because Scotland is a cesspit
Not to be rude no wonder where danny aarons got his postur from
Still gives me goosebumps 1 year on. The Greatest Queen Ever ! 😢😢😢😢
she died on the same day as my grandad died aswell so it was an extremely sad day for me and my family
Irrelevant
@Oranges_are_my_favourite_fruithen blower
@terrytownsend5583don’t say that bro
Sorry for your loss Zach.
Not sure why the algorithm brings me here today.
That’s a trustworthy man in the thumbnail
😂😂😂😂
This stuck in my head so well that I basically remember the entire day. I was coming home from school listening to the radio and they were talking about how she was "very unwell" then at 18:24 (remember the exact time) the news cut out and announced her death.
I’m not a royalist, but in a weird way I am fond of the royal family. The queens death did bring out a somber feeling. She was queen long before I was even born, and for some reason I never imagined that she would stop being queen.
Same here. The UK will never be the same. QEII was paramount in opening up the family, charity work and public appearances
She never did.......... that's why she commanded respect and admiration
Why do you say you're not a royalist? You clearly are. You recognise and value the role of the monarchy. The UK is just one of a a group of lucky European nations which have a monarch - and they are, without exception, the most democratic, the most liberal, the most economically, socially and politically progressive and forward thinking nations on the planet. I'm proud to be pro monarchy and stand shoulder to shoulder with millions of Danes, Spaniards, Belgians, Swedes, Dutch etc etc. Rather a constitutional King or Queen than have to put up with Putin or Trump or any other 'elected' head of state.
VOTE REPUBLIC UK ( Not My £52,000 per HOUR King ! )
@richardmurphy4520it's a fact that elected heads of state cost more than a monarchy and generate much less income dumb ass.
came back here to relieve the memories
can't believe its been 2 years.
It brought back sad memory of my own grandmother, 96 yo, who passed a year before the late Queen. May they both rest in peace.
This still brings a feeling of profound sadness.
Looters
@amalmohan5295 imagine not being able to defend ur own jewels lol
Oh give over patsy.
Still remember this day. I was at my locker at the end of the day, and I heard someone mention it to one of their friends. I didn't think it was true at first! RIP!
I can’t believe that it’s literally been a year since the Queen passed away 😢
That wasn't the only death that broke me. There was that of my grandma just 3 weeks after the Queen. On top of being paralyzed and demented by a stroke in her 70s (which made my life go downhill since then already), in 2021, she got COVID from her caretaker, but she managed to pull through thanks to the vaccine. The following year, however, she suffered respiratory and heart failure at the same time, which turned into a fatal condition by Saturday that ended up killing her on the same day. My mother couldn't even go around (only in the early morning and late afternoon) because she had just come back from her cancer operation and, to make things worse than bad, she was forced by her heartless brother (my uncle, who recently cheated on his wife!!!) to make the funeral preparations.
Just a month later, our dog Daphne had an aggressive stomach ache that almost killed her, but it was all caused by the food we were giving him - that was not the first time it occurred in her life. She's fine now and eating the right kibbles. But that moment was terrible. Age only makes things worse (this year, she turned 13 - born in 2010): she has been diagnosed with cataracts, a heart murmur, and I'm even more upset than my mother, on top of the Coronavirus and the whole Ukraine Vs. Russia & Hamas/Palestine war scare.
I think I'm losing my family... S-s-sorry, I'll need to work this out somehow!
P.S. I also have a female cat. She's doing fine like Daphne, except that she's FIV positive...
March 2024 here and it's so strange hearing her passing even now
@Malick-ix9ioConvid?😂
@Malick-ix9ioWhat Vaccine? u for real?
Se was 1273628 years old. Who cares lol
The BBC Radio one at the end gives me the most chills, where it goes straight from the announcement to God Save the Queen.
It was 'God Save The King'.
@flygrace no it wasn’t
@ Of course it was. As soon as the Queen was dead, it made no sense to say "God Save The Queen". The anthem automatically changes to "God Save The King".
@anon73829of course it was
@flygracetechnically speaking the anthem doesn’t change until the new monarch is crowned so at that moment it was still god save the Queen
I remember just looking on my phone when leaving a building and then I see this news pop up on my phone this was a crazy time Rest In Peace to the queen
Not me getting this 3yrs later...
I remember sitting in the car, watching the rain fall as we pulled out of a junction. I hear a royal -like tune, a man had interrupted the radio
“The queen has died”…
I'm an American and I still won't forget what Queen Elizabeth did for us Americans when 9/11 happened. She had the guards play our national anthem and raise our flag. Some people from the United Kingdom had passed away during the attacks on our country.
I’ll never forget that, either. It was on television coverage here that the Queen asked her own Guards to play our anthem at Buckingham Palace. You could see people outside the Palace, many Americans, in tears, and so appreciative. A true gesture of solidarity. Queen Elizabeth is missed. 🇺🇸
I heard that there were 67 from the U.K. 😢💔
What makes it more special is that the Star Spangled Banner is about us fighting England in the War of 1812
Like what? you're own Government did it.
Oh woop de woop ! you a greedy Betty fan now ?.
I remember watching this live on BBC when it was announced 😢
Radio one sounded like it was going to say missiles inbound please take shelter!
I remember me in Brighton at a hotel and once me and my family went downstairs to leave we saw everyone gathering around one tv in absolute silence full of emotions. Ill never forget that day…
The news we knew would come one day, but it was still a huge shock. The U.K. without her, is unimaginable.
Unimaginable? Get a freaking grip FFS 🤡🥱🙄
Yes the Windsor mafias brainwashing programme certainly done its dirty work on you.
A huge shock? How? She loved a long and good life. It’s not like she died young
@iknowexactlywhoyouare8701If you say so.
@paulwild3676did you expect the queen to live forever or something? She’s not God.
NO WAY ITS BEEN TWO YEARS
3 years ago. I remember this day very well
As someone who is not British my condolences go out to all of yall impacted by this 🇨🇿❤️🇬🇧
Very sad - a great admirer of Her late Majesty. ☹️😢😥 She did her duty and gave great service to the nation and to her people. But I will always be comforted by the fact she had 70 glorious years on the throne and we got to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee with her.
There’s nothing more heart-pounding than when you’re just watching TV as you normally would, and then the channel abruptly cuts to the News to announce something like this…
in these times its not a good move, could easy get people panicked over war
@trentr9762 Give over fs
No normal person would ever think war unless they're in a country of war stay quiet child
I would expect nuclear attack and immediately start panic eating!
@maggotswithtoken a nuclear attack emergency news report. or...the death of a 96 year old lady non of us ever Met? Actually mate I think you're the one who needs to stop yapping.
@billdoor3140 Ain't no one say anything bout someone "yapping" child and she had been ill for a while and there were rumours that day so it wasn't a shock keep crying and don't speak to me
These recommendations are weird. Didnt get this at the time but get it now years later.
Over a year later, it still gets me. The Queen had already been on the throne for 25 years when I was born. To have reigned fit 70 years was incredible. An amazing lady.
Watching this a year later still brings tears to my eyes: gone but will never be forgotten.
Same here. I'm American and still feel the sadness. Seeing videos of her during her last few days and how frail she had become since the Jubilee is heartbreaking. I'm just happy she lived long enough to enjoy the grand party the people of England and the world threw for her on her 75th anniversary.
Me to so sad
Same here! 😢
You sound brainwashed
It still hits me. I remember just staying in and being displaced. God save the King
Subtitles told that these are "unimportant"
That was three years ago today. RIP
Forgot about this.
They all knew. They followed strict protocol. Once the camera showed the flag, at :05 we knew. God Rest the Queen.
God rest the queen? What does that even mean?
@yakub888 i'm french and confused. If you have an answer i'll take it.
@yakub888 I think they mean God save the queen 🤣
@PP-lv3iv They mean God save the queen which is a saying here in the UK
@pulseofthemaggotsbedchem i know god save the Queen, but god rest the Queen? Doesn't make sense.
I'm from Sweden. My family and I had just gotten home from work when the announcement came. Didn't hear about it while in the car but my dad turned on the TV just after we came in and started preparing dinner. For the next hour or so the normal programming was replaced by a news panel discussing it. A few days prior we all had had the feeling that it wouldn't be long before these kind of news would come. RIP Your Majesty
I was so upset still 3 years later rest in peace her magestie gueen Elizabeth
Its been almost 3 years, And this always will feel like yesterday.
I remember watching her funeral on TV almost 3 years ago.
I was on the Reception desk at work the moment it happened. Having to remain positive and not cry was hard. I still can't believe that she's gone.
Why would you need to cry or did she owe you money
@kymclinton3140 because I'm a royalist and I loved The Queen.
I was literally shaking on the way home from college and then had a huge panic attack on the bus. I yelled out “Queen Elizabeth is going to die isn’t she?!” All the students just stood up and comforted me. Luckily I was off Friday anyway
@nicolelawless9942 😅
Viewing nearly a year later. Still extremely emotional.
I was in the Royal Albert Hall for a Beethoven concert that evening. Was hearing news all afternoon but realised later I was in denial. Made official by the BBC I could deny no more.
Thankful that news we dreaded was experienced with my partner and in my favourite of all places.
Louis v Beethoven now cancelled we went into the RAH arena for just Nimrod and GSTQ.
In a weird personal way, it was perfect: my worst of all news, in my favourite of all places.
That was the famed Philadelphia Orchestra (American). I thought it was very touching they canceled their program and instead played Elgar’s Nimrod and GSTQ. It reminded me of when the Queen requested her Guards play our Star Spangled Banner in front of Buckingham Palace on 9/11. Respect and solidarity from friends. She is missed. 🇺🇸
I can’t believe it’s almost a year already, I am very proud of Woody.EXE for reigning this long and I didn’t think he would. September 8th also marks one year anniversary of the start of our new reign. Still can’t get over how proud I am
Dude relax. She lived too long on our stolen wealth. About time
@AmritSMannwhat did she actually steal from you.!!!
@AmritSMann Greedy Bettys better off dead.
I remember I was was at work here in the States and heard via the BBC News app.
I remember this well. I was at work and on my break watching bbc news. The second the Royal Standard went half mast, I'm not ashamed to say, I cried. ,😥
I was sitting on the couch at home clueless of what happened until my father came in to the living room and said "Shes gone". I hade no clue what he was on about i just thought it was another celebrity death or something. Then my mum tuned over the channel to BBC One and it displayed this exact broadcast and I remember for the whole month most adverts were replaced by a blck screen that said something like RIP Elizabeth II with a picture of her on the screen. Scared the shit out of me.
I remember i was watching the tv and we went onto bbc news and the announcement scared me as well. I cried quite a bit too
No matter how many times I watch the breaking news announcing the death of H.M Queen Elizabeth the 2nd it still brings real sadness and emotion and a sincere feeling of immense loss. DEFINITELY MY QUEEN ❤
We all have to die...It is called "The Circle of Life" Some people get 1 Hour and some people get 110 Years. It is the only thing we all share in common.
lol
VOTE REPUBLIC UK ( Not My £52,000 per HOUR King ! )
@nimnim4467 Stockholm Syndrome. ( Symptomatic of a lifetime of sycophantic queen worrying.
@richardmurphy4520 Republicans are Traitors.
Looks like I am not the only who got notified now.
And as always, the BBC, with complete and utter professionalism, handle it perfectly. That is why they are the foremost broadcasting outlet in this country. Seamless.
Not only in UK, BBC is role model for every television in Europe.
What utter nonsense
ITV might learn a thing or two.
@EVENo94 World actually
Hugh Edwards, what a pro, man of many talents....
This is a day etched in history. No matter where you were or what you were doing when you heard the news, you will never forget that moment 🇬🇧
I was waiting for 6 nuggets from McDonald’s. Nobody knew till they started looking at their phones
Ill never forget this moment as one of the greatest moments of 2022, the celebrations were great
@theirishrepublican1739 You could be respectful..relations between Ireland and The UK are good. It’s not a time for celebration its a sad loss of a lovely lady. I’m Scottish and have Irish family..none of them are celebrating.
@Bri Y What?
I’m American and was working on a massage Client when she told me the news.
2:42 Princess William 😂
He doesn't say "Princess William", he says "Princes William and Harry".
i cant believe this was three years ago i remember being devastated 😭
Gotta love how they have the channel 4 bits moving then hard cuts to them all motionless in the corner in monotone colours. Really had a vibe of "something just went down"
like something out of analog horror
Not to mention after the hard cut, the only piece moving was a triangle, slowly away then towards to the pile
I like how most of them just smoothly go from whatever they were doing to the announcement, but Channel 4 and BBC Radio 1 just abruptly stopped what they were doing, and put out the announcement as soon as possible.
A great lady, a great servant, RIP
I saw this live on BBC and will never forget
Beautiful lady who ruled with dignity, respect, and compassion.
From Australia.
Piffle.
Beautiful, huh?
@RexHeuermannyes, unlike you.
Wise words…
Thank you.
I was watching the sport one on BBC Two, but as soon as i saw Black instead of red, I thought the Queen has passed
Watching this in 2024, almost after the death of Her Majesty.
That’s two years after it happened what do you mean almost
@What_am_i-yn3ig depends on what your'e comparing with. 100 years after Her Majesty death or just almost 2 years after Her Majesty death. Almost word depends on the time frame you are using.
@ yea fair
I had to watch the Queen’s funeral for an hour because it was the only channel on
Rest in peace.
Queen Elizabeth II.
Through all of the worlds events and disasters, Queen Elizabeth was there with us. It doesn’t feel right for her not to be on this Earth
I was watching Sky News, and I just knew as soon as it went quiet and kept it on that video of the Queen. RIP Your Majesty 🕊
That was the channel I had on. Like you say soon as it went quiet and you saw them remove the news banners from along the bottom of the screen I knew the announcement was coming. Very surreal moment for sure
How has it been 3 years already ?
What ?
LIKE WHAT THE FK FR !?!?!
As usual the BBC got it right, showing appropriate gravitas for such a sad occasion. Sky news Dermot Murnaghan was the same reporter I saw announcing Princess Diana's death in the early hours of 31/08/97 😔
Apparently they rehearse these announcements & I believe ITV actually scripted in “hang on let me find it!!” 😂😂😂
0:57 , I guess they wrote the subtitle wrong. “An important”
It is done by a computer, speech recognition software, it is often not a perfect translation.
I was startled as heck that time
