Daniel Craig reprises his role as British secret agent James Bond as he accompanies Her Majesty The Queen to the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The Ceremony also featured appearances from Mr. Bean, Monty Python and a re-imagining of the British Industrial Revolution.
Every two years, the world's finest athletes gather at the Olympic Games - a spectacular celebration of sporting excellence that captures the attention of billions of people around the world. However, the Games are about much more than just sport. They bring the Olympic values to life and provide a global arena for a unique combination of sport, culture, education and ceremonies.
At the Olympic Games in London 2012, about 10,500 athletes from 204 countries compete in 26 different sports, comprising 302 medal events. Whether athletes win a medal or not, they can forever call themselves Olympians. The sporting competitions are undoubtedly the central focus of the Olympic Games and participating in the Games is the ultimate goal for most athletes.
Every edition has its own story to tell and will be remembered for some truly remarkable performances from sporting legends such as Jesse Owens, Abebe Bikila, Jean-Claude Killy, Nadia Comaneci, Katarina Witt, Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt, to name just a few. =========================================

I read that she didn't suggest, she insisted!

Yeah, London was one of the best, but nothing beats Beijing imo.
absolutely
A treasure lost, never to bee seen again, the world bows to you, your Majesty ❤❤❤❤
1:25 i *_heard_* that in the script she was supposed to look up right away when Bond came in. She added the letter writing scene herself. She bloody made him have that awkward wait XD
Not true. Even Craig's wandering eyes were in the script. 'Don't look up, might be interpreted as rolling the eyes'
@@arthurballs7083 Now see here sir, you just took away all the fun

May Her Majesty rest in peace. This bit from the olympics is unforgettable.
One of her greatest moments.
Rest in Peace 🙏🏻 Greetings from Germany. We Germans stand with you in this difficult hour 🇬🇧🇩🇪😭
This, to me, was the UK's peak.
So funny! Loved her
It's literally the only bit I remember watching. Well, this and Mr Bean.
She will always and forever be a legend. Because she was dedicated to her duties and true to herself, elegant and yet simple.
Rewatching this after 10 years hits different
Did you know that James Bond was created after Elizabeth II became queen in 1952? He has only ever served under *her* majesty's service!
No, I didn't. How cool is this?
E tu sapevi che la spia 007 è esistita veramente, da qui il numero di james bond ??? Era il miglior agente segreto di Sua Maestà Elisabetta I
OMG I didnt even realized
@@cheriem432 Personnal taskmaster. Pretty cool
interesting!
For those who were born after 2012, you couldn't imagine the feeling of watching this live, it was so epic
I remember sitting on my couch watching with my family. There was a momentary gasp that went around the room and then we just burst out laughing. Less than 10 years prior I don't think Her Majesty would have agreed to this. However, she has learned to keep the Royals relevant in the modern era by adapting to the public. By becoming a Bond girl for an evening and having a double hurl themselves out of the Royal heli. What a moment this was.
Perhaps the only moment that comes close is the Prime Minster of Japan as Mario. But even then, it doesn't reach this greatness.
Did she really jump or not?
@@vexystar3389 no, it was a stuntman or something
I think I recall that the stunt double(s) landed right on the mark in the middle of the stadium. Security descended upon her, helping her get out of her harness and escorting her into a tunnel, then she emerges from her box. But I can't find clips that support it.
My only interest in the London Olympics was the tennis being played at Wimbledon.

ボンドのファンでしたが女王のお茶目な所作が流石の気品を感じさせる素晴らしく尊敬するものでした。
彼女の死によってまさに、world is not enough

I was never a fan of royals before, but I liked her very much since 2012 cause of that, I am missing her. The world changed often in my life but she was always there, she was a great Queen. R.I.P. from Berlin
"James... James Bond."
You had one job, mate. *One Job.*

Heck, I'd be like: 😦
What an Odd Job to be one...

Maybe they can go into why the helicopter ride took 12 hours.
@@alexanderlouie4397 Bond or the other dude says "Evening" at the beginning of the video.
And then, for the Season 15, they will covered the scene when The queen reproched the role of the starring of own herself in The Crown
LOL
Here we get to see a rare example of Her Majesty’s sense of humor. Well done, ma’am!
I will keep this forever. The world will forever miss you, a truely great lady. RIP Queen Elizabeth.
