The buttons behind the gear selector is for blow heated air to the neck from the vents which located under the head rest not for heated seats, You can control heated seats and ventilated seats from the same button on the middle dashboard.
A manual tilt and telescopic steering wheel at 75k. I like the design overall and the grill give it more of a unique style rather than just being a 2 door 3.
Recently I was in the market for a used convertible. I looked at and drove the BMW 4 series (hard top convertible) and the Audi A5 series convertible. I know a car is a very personal and emotional decision, however for me there was no comparison. The Audi was head and shoulders above the BMW in comfort, handing, and feel. The BMW felt cheap on the interior compared to the luxury of the Audi. After a month and a long drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC I know I made the best decision.

Great car. Just received my 2022 440ix, arctic race blue w/moonshadow drop top. No comparison w/Audi S5 which has limited options when you compare the two. Quiet, powerful, great handling and solid. Pricey but worth it.....
I'm waiting for mine!! It has taken so long, that now I have to get the 2023. They changed a couple things, but not enough to matter I guess. I owned an Audi S5 supercharged prior to ordering this. It was a 2013. They don't make supercharged anymore. I'm excited to see if this M440ix has more power!!! Congrats on your new car! :)

the grill is garbage, it always has been and always will be, BMW has moved away from true classic lines and trying to please the CHINESE market, who ever designed it, should be shot

Sweet...but not that BMW never lets you forget the myriad of options you could have checked...at 8:40 the blank in the mid speaker since someone didn't grab the memory seat passenger option... likely bundled into a $3,000 pack. Does sound good!
I like all of Joe's critique. Only difference is I perfer 18" wheels. Why? In POTHOLE America there's a tad more rubber from rim to road. Just maybe I am wrong thinking there's less propensity to bend a rim with 18" vs 19". Your thoughts!
A shame the M440d diesel version isn't sold in the USA. It has a twin turbo 3 liter I6 diesel producing 335 hp and 516 pound feet of torque, with a 0-60 time of about 4.5 seconds. Similar in many ways to M440i, but with a lot more torque and better efficiency.
Convertibles should come with factory sensors that measure UV indexes and provide a driver alert if the index rises to "high". My dermatologist jokes that convertibles are the most expensive way to get skin cancer.
Hi Joe and Lori, I find the BMW 4 series isn't that ugly like before, I think that the (huge) grill has grown on me. But I'd you had to choose which vehicle would you get the BMW 4 series, Mercedes c class or the Audi A5 . Or the more practical version like the: BMW 4 series grand coupe, Mercedes cla or the Audi a5 sportback. Edit: If you haven't noticed I'm a huge fan
I can look past the Bucky beaver grill but the rear quarter panel / rear tires just doesn’t sit well with me. Not sure if it’s the tires or the bulge of the sheet metal that takes away from the car.

never say never. Grille is growing on most people. I love it. it is bold. Look at the notch on apple's display screen. People hated it, but everbody is buying it. lol
If you don't like the looks than all the rest is wasted. I am on fence with new front end? Something is missing but can't put a finger on it. The rest of the car is great though.

All these tops have an annoying whistling wind noise at about 50 miles (80 kms an hour )and up. You will be at the dealership all the time complaining. There is no fix for it. TRUST ME. I’m in Canada so I assume the conversion is correct. It makes more sense to buy an M340i with the same horse power/ torque and save a few bucks.However for 2021 Bmw has reduced the pops/crackles on the exhaust. Not to worry just add the M sport exhaust into your spec and it makes the 2021/2022 M340i the Better car to buy. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE To spice things up the M340i now comes in a different variant with 3 new specs of colour/ option combos. Now They come with a standard M sport exhaust, racing wheels similar to the M8 competition wheels and body kit. Skip this M440i design completely. once you do your research on this you will forget all about this video. Trust me you will be thankful for this comment. MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE XDRIVE VERSIONS ONLY Ps I know this because I’ve driven these cars.
Love the color. Attractive interior. Elegant looking. but what’s not attractive and elegant is the grille. It’s still a zonk for me. You can give me all the colors offered for the 4 series pallet I’ll still hate it. I hope for a refresh they make the kidney grille normal again!

The wife and I were going to buy this very car. We were considering this, a Z4, or going electric with a Tesla Model 3 Performance. Our closest Beamer dealership ended up being adult children complete with mini tantrums over the phone trying to get a Z4 ordered and we said Nah. Took delivery of our Model 3 Performance two weeks ago. I don’t know if the pandemic had them starving for sales or their usual customers are lemmings who run off a cliff for them but it was shocking at the unprofessional behavior of that place.

the difference between BMW and Audi, is that the BMW comes with all the options as standard and not as an extra.
