    Bmw owners offended everywhere when you said that this car competes with mustang and Camaro convertibles. This car is a way nicer car, clearly in another class, this car competes with Mercedes, and Audi convertibles. Comparing this car to Mustangs and Camaros is like comparing professional baseball to little league. Not only is this a way nicer car on multiple levels but it’s a completely different price point. This car loaded is $75k+.
    Aside from that.. this car corners like it’s on rails, as have all 4 series with the sport package, if you’re buying a convertible and can afford it buy it. My only issue with this car is the plastic switches for the windows etc. Mercedes has metal and feel more premium. Other than that this car is my favorite mid-luxury sport car convertible. LOVE the new grill too!

    First, get the black appearance package and the grill and car look much better. Second, the car gets 26 MPG combined, the 31 MPG is Highway driving. You didn't mention the navigation is I*cloud based and you get real time mapping. If there is road construction it will show up. You didn't mention Apple car play and Android auto are wireless and don't need to be plugged in.. You didn't mention with top up you get a larger trunk space by folding up the partition. You missed the wind deflector. The stereo is excellent. You didn't mention how quiet the car is with top up because it had a layer of carbon fiber running through the middle of the top. It also makes it impossible to break in through the top. You review was great but you shouldn't score anything with a personal preference like looks as it messes up your total score.

      Would you recommend the M440i or 840i?

    • @CarCoachReports
      @CarCoachReports  Год назад

      They are both very different. The M440 does not have nearly as much horsepower is the 840i. In today’s market I try to see if I can get either one of them. It’s very difficult to get vehicles when there’s a part shortage.

    The paint looks incredible! I do like the seatbelt Butler... and the material used on the center console looks awesome. The color scheme for the interior also. If they Shrunk the two kidney beans for the grill down just a little it would look a lot better for sure. Car looks like a great all around vehicle for just about anything.

    A great review. Quite informative. I have the 2022 X-Drive in San Remo Green. It is my 8th BMW and by far my favourite car to drive. I score it a 99. I deducted a point for the manual tilt steering wheel :).

    I own the 2022 430i. It is so much fun. I do wish sometimes I had the incline 6 but the 430i is fast enough for most people. I drove the 440i and it can be tail happy in 2wd so you need to be smart about the throttle. I believe you can program the sport individual mode to disable start/ stop. I can in the 430i. Awesome car! By the way, it is so quiet with the top up!

      This comment helps be deciding 430i vs M440i. Its sad my local BMW dealer doesn't have both models for test drive.

    This very attractive young LADY makes a highly superb informative presentation with enthusiasm. I own a BMW 2021 M440i Convertible. Unless I misunderstood, it does have a Sport Plus selection. Also, it has behind the back seat console a high quality wind breaker screen that really does its job installed with the top down. This screen can be manually installed / uninstalled easily. And, of course for safety, it has 2 hidden row bars behind each back seat headrest that automatically implodes much like airbags. The only way to disengage Start/Stop is putting the transmission in Manual shift for paddle shifter usage or SPORT modes. If I had a criticism the Comfort, Sport, Ecno etc buttons should be placed much more forward on the console for safety, to minimize taking eyes off the road. In addition, when Econo mode is selected it sadly, automatically displays % usage in lieu of RPM. There should be an override option to RPM's.

    Love the green paint! Especially in a world where every other car seems to be silver, gray, black or white.
    Shame you can't shut off the auto start-stop.

    You actually can shut off the auto start/stop. If you put the car in sport mode, but customize everything to comfort, so as not to be in sport mode all the time, this will bypass that annoying feature.

    • @RO-cf3lz
      @RO-cf3lz Год назад

      Customizing everything to bypass annoying start/stop that I detest would be fantastic. I am very confused. Perhaps a step by step would certainly simplify the process.

    I just ordered this car over here in Germany and payed 96.000€ 😂🙈 Those price differences are unbelievable. Thank you for the review I really liked it. Even though I think the trunk is pretty good compared to its competitors.. especially when the roof is closed and you can fold back the plastic cover on the upper side of the trunk.

    How often does people change the steering wheel position that it needs to be powered? It adds weight and cost!

    • @jeffy210
      @jeffy210 2 года назад

      I can give you two real world reasons right off the bat
      1. You have multiple drivers of different heights. In my C-Class the steering wheel position is tied to the memory slot so each person can not only have their seat and mirrors adjusted but their steering wheel as well. Great when you have a 6'2" person and a 5'3" person
      2. Depending on where you normally have your steering wheel it can make it a bit of a pain getting in and out of the car. Most cars with power adjustment will actually retract the steering wheel and move it up making ingress and egress easier. A bonus when a coupe's doors don't open as far if you're next to someone
      Also, like she said, at that price point, the cost really isn't as much the issue and the weight is minimal in the grand scheme of things.

    Why no adaptive cruise control? In a “great cruising car”? For this price?

    • @traumamed9449
      @traumamed9449 Год назад

      It does, as long as you purchase that option (driving assistance pro). I'm unclear if this particular car is so equipped, but driving assistant package pro not only has adaptive cruise, but also full steering assist and a complete hands-off driving option for traffic jams below 40 mph.

    I always look for a trunk space in a car that is why convectable cars are no no for me unless if it can be my second car. By the way this car is very beautiful.

    • @CarCoachReports
