PS: There is a back door in the story. The potentially fastest was disqualified because her feet touched the ground too rarely.

the fact that people most of the people failed to realized that during this time period many of dcs writer also work for marvel and vice versa so its not a surprised that some of their characters look a like they dont sue each other

That was his last appearance in the Marvel universe.
Wish he stayed longer, maybe give out more hints that he was Barry, even when Barry was coming back to the dc universe they show flashforward saying "im going home"

IIRC, the story was written by the late Mark Gruenwald; who was a major comic geek. He wrote most of the JLA issue of DC's official fanzine, The Amazing World of DC Comics, in the 70s.
I think it was pretty cool of them to do that.

People think companies are enemies, but they aren’t. MultiVersus, Space Jam, Rescue Rangers movie, Who Framed Rodger Rabbit, Marvel DC amalgam universe (merged characters, it’s super cool), and moments like this. They compete for profit, but there is no company beef

You're half right. Sometimes, companies won't even compete for profits. Sometimes, they'll collude and come up with under the table agreements to make sure conditions and prices are favorable to all parties involved.

Nice gesture by Marvel. I like when opposing companies with opposing ideologies in their products acknowledge their counterparts.
Now that's respect towards the character. Marvel could have easily made a character faster than the flash BUT they kept it the way it is. The Flash was , is and always will be "the fastest man alive".

So in flash vs quicksilver they choose quicksilver and make a comic where quicksilver win
So like marvel way of pay respect they did this for flash

If this happened right after Crisis, then that means this was technically Barry's last "present tense" appearance before Flash: Rebirth. Wally West was the Flash for the next 20 years or so.

Quick question: if that really was the flash, shouldn’t he lose his super speed because the speed force doesn’t exist in the marvel multiverse?
I'm not sure whether this was the case retconned or not during Crisis on Infinite Earths, but I'm pretty sure some stories have outright stated Barry GENERATES the speed force rather than only drawing on it like other speedsters, which is what makes him traditionally faster than Wally and the go-to for multiverse shenanigans
The story is older than the Speed Force. Cosmic events always change the past of DC heroes. I think there were also 1 or 2 stories where the Flash accessed his old powers after losing the connection to the Speed Force.
1st, Speed force doesn't exist till later on during Wally's Flash years.
2nd, Speed force don't give a fuck. It exist where it want to.
