@@kappadarwin9476 that’s just a dumb excuse. You praise spidersense as the reason why he survived out of every superhero halfway the run just to end it like this
The ending is the result of SHITTY writing. I would have had it so that Spider-man's spider sense kicked in when Punisher tried to pull the gun on him. Then I would have had Spider slam the gun into Punisher's temple. When Punisher falls to the ground, the gun fires and Frank's head just explodes. Then Spider-Man lives happily.
One thing I liked about this comic was just how huge Spiderman had become. He always had that default superhero physique, but the man has spent years on a Keto diet chowing down on protein and it left him bulky as hell.
Wolverine actually survived his fight with the Hulk, just had that arm ripped off but then retreated to Antartica and found Reed Richards, T'Challa and the surviving Science team who were looking for a cure for the virus.
God this story was insane. The end of stark was horrible. Literally starved to death inside a prison of iron. As someone who is claustrophobic literally gave me the chills
like you stated: its a comic and who cares, but it kinda bugs me that characters with insane healing abilities can succumb to a virus/disease. so then it also should be possible to kill them with a virus/disease.
Not to mention a lor of other inconsistencies, the Iron Man suit has failsafes in case his software bugs out since the 70s, Spider-Man has spider-sense that would obviously make him dodge the gunshot, Iceman is biologically immune to most diseases due to his near absolute zero body temperature, Professor X, Jean Gray, and even Emma Frost would absolutely be able to hold these psychologically simple cannibals, unless they were the patient 0... I know it's the narrative purposed, but it's so absolutely dumb.
During Marvel Universe vs Wolverine, which is another comic set in this same universe, it's stated that people with healing factors have some resistance against the virus. Wolverine, for example, it's infected pretty early on, but manages to stay himself through it. Deadpool is another example. He is able to fight back against if if he wants to, he just... doesn't. Which does bug me a little.
It always bugged me with Iron man locked in his suit; you would think as smart and a futurist as Tony is that he would have Failsafes in case these things happen. Because you can be damn sure, any version of Stark….including superior iron man (Douche bag stark) would have failsafes on top of failsafes because he would be too selfish (or stubborn) to die so haphazardly…..
Thing is, if there's a manual way to open the suit when it's powered down like that, it means it's something that can be exploited on the outside. I think weighing the pros and cons, Tony would go with it's better to be locked inside the suit, than it is to have a secret way you can get it off with manual force. There's pros and cons to everything.... I think Tony weighed the idea of a Villain being able to figure out how to peel his suit off as being more dangerous than getting locked inside of it with absolutely no one in the world being able to help him.
I can't see Tony not having a way out of his suit. He's a genius and he probably has thought about going up against an opponent who could knock out his systems and still have a way to open his suit
@@TonyAlexander-on4syHe thought he was safe from the infection, but he wasn't. Jarvis/his suit shut down when he went cannibal, and he was no longer smart enough to override it. Then he starved.
Rob I'm super disappointed that you didn't mention Wolverines part in all of this. Wolverine is still alive and one of the few that are immune and he along with Reed Richards are out there trying to to find a cure. The Hulk bit off Wolverines hand but he didn't eat him. The story is called Wolverine vs the Marvel Universe.
I think he only talked about the first run in this universe which is called the Marvel Universe vs the Punisher. The comic you mention was a follow-up in the same universe where I think Wolverine was retconned into being alive. Correct me if I'm wrong tho, memory could be hazy
Spider Man had already tasted human flesh. Even when he has self control to not eat MJ, he will once he's hungry. Frank just did Peter a favor. The reason why he didn't dodge probably because Peter had known Punisher well enough to know he's gonna kill him anyway.
I think spidey just didnt expect it cuz of the moment. Also Idk if spidey would have cuz its not zombies they're cannibals meaning they like flesh but dont need to eat it hence MJ being alive. But prob is the better choice to end spidey's life as conflicting as it is
@@baked7423 Nah. OP's explanation is probably right. Spiderman was dumbed down in the story, but out of all the cannibals he was by far the most intelligent in the story. Spiderman knew at the end of the road that MJ and possibly the baby would have turned into food, because theres only so long spiderman can reject the hunger, especially given his new Physique. Spiderman probably hoped, and knew that Punisher would try to kill him when everything was said and done. After all, why did spiderman hold back on everything until MJ was deep into pregnancy? Peter knew the risk was too great, and for MJ alone he would have tried to held onto the bitter end. But now theres a bun in the oven. So he can't exactly leave it to chance anymore. Peter is some beast now in the story, but even beasts do quite a bit to protect the expecting mothers/newborns.
@@thefallencog There's no hunger tho it's not a zombie virus. They just regressed where like animals no sense of class so they just eat whenever they're hungry and now have a taste for human flesh. As u say, even beasts have some instincts of family and I doubt Spidey is trying to eat her when he said he will let the the survivors go
@@baked7423 Thats what im more getting at though. Cannibals are capable of eating regular food. But if the preference is for human flesh, and afaik there really wasnt any animals roaming around too often at the time of the story, it stands to reason that there is a rapidly dwindling supply of meat on the island. Peter is an animal due to the Cannibal virus and such, but hes still smart enough to put two and two together. Eventually they'd reach a point where MJ and her child would be the last food source on the island. For MJ he'd hold onto hope until the end, but with a baby he doesn't want that risk. Starving animals don't really discriminate when it comes to food when they are starving. And its said in the story the virus apparently allows them to be able to survive off a strictly Pica diet comprised of concrete and steel. But theres no indication in the story that, that part of the Viruses "forced evolution" is true.
we see that deadpool is surprisingly smart in spite of being infected and spidey seems to have more complicated concepts like keeping survivors alive without eating them what a promise is and a sense of empathy for his "mate" odds are that healing factors can somewhat fight off the plague and possibly eventually heal them or at least adapt to the infection(which is why the comic had to rip wolverine to pieces so this wouldnt be obvious i assume) maybe frank castle in his usual shoot first think never just killed a potential cure for the virus
This title is so misleading. Punisher's the one who killed the Marvel Universe in this story on literally every level. It's the literal title of the story, Punisher being an impulsive idiot ended up being the catalyst for the plague and he's now literally going around killing everyone infected (which I imagine to be most of the world at this point).
From the sounds of things, Peter Parker, Spider-Man, barely killed anyone of note. This isn't even a 'Spider-Man Kills the Marvel Universe' story, it's closer to a 'Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe' story. Punisher has the most confirmed named character kills under his belt, he's supposedly the reason the plague happened in the first place, hell he even gets the first and last on panel kills!
Loved the video!💕 Just started my comic book collection and found Toon Haven. They offer a huge variety of digital comics for every genre, and lifetime updates too!😍
The name of the actual comic (which is nowhere in the description) is *Marvel Universe vs The Punisher.* You know, for those who want to read the comic without having it spoiled by the video as they try to figure out which one he's talking about.
Yeah, not sure what's happened in recent months, but he's started removing the titles of the comics in his video titles.. they're shorter and simplified now?
The way Tony went out to me is both a cop out but also just unsettling. The comic itself mentions his suit is meant to be able to keep the infection out. But it...still gets in? Also why wouldn't Tony be in a bunker somewhere working with like Reed while using remote piloting instead of putting himself out there. It may just be me, but i kinda want to see a apocalypse scenario where Tony is the focus and we see his mindset as he acknowledges (in the words of his MCU self) he's just a man in a tin can but he then adds how he doesn't think he deserved to live while others fell. Although i do understand he would have a high chance of making a cure (look at his knowledge of Extremis) but I feel like a story about Tony making do with remaining resources, getting data to try and make a cure and fighting to survive in this apocalypse would be a fun story, they could even say Tony's exposure to Extremis wasn't reversed in this world and thus his altered biology was immune or something along the lines of the Extremis keeps it from having an effect
Hey Rob not sure if you will see this but this story is only 1 aspect of the whole. There are 3 stories that tie into this. You have "punisher vs the marvel universe" but you also have "wolverine vs the marvel universe" where it shows wolverines point of view during all these events and "avengers vs the marvel universe" where it follows Hawkeye and his point of view. All 3 have moments that intertwine with each other and even expand on other event's. Personally i feel wolverine vs the marvel universe was the best part but thats just me. From what i have seen from your channel you never covered wolverine or the avengers part of the story just Punisher. If you see this I really hope you cover those other 2 and do a "remaster" showing all 3 stories in chonilogical order. When you read all 3 its an amazing story
I saw another video labeled wolverine kills the marvel universe a couple days ago, and today found this. I was so confused at first cause the events laid out the exact same, but it makes since now that you explained it how you did thanks man 🤘🏻🤘🏻
To be fair. Wolverine in the main marvel universe now is a jobber ever since Krakoa heavily nerfed him and laura's durability. He dies at least one or two times per major storyarc. Sometimes to the wind, often times to things that ordinarily wouldn't bother him. Hell. Just recently beast managed to kill wolverine with a butterknife.
wolverine wasn't killed his arm was just ripped off. also in this universe they claim the hulk is the strongest he has ever been but feet's don't really back it up
Wolverine didn't die. Frank thought he was dead because he disappeared. Hulk ripped off his arm and wore it like a necklace, but Wolverine survived the fight and grew back his arm.
oh for sure he did the right thing overall and only he is "Frank" enough to pull all that off. otherwise thered still be a huge threat left in Manhattan. Castle solved that.
Kingpin's power comes from his criminal empire and his social and political influence. In a post-apocalyptic setting he wouldn't have those and he would just be a big guy who's well trained in hand-to-hand combat. If the tribes follow the strongest leader, any of the superhumans could have killed him and taken his place.
@You're under 19 don't argue still not bullet-proof....and plenty of super-powerered heroes that could still kill him without having to get into melee range. Also plenty that could kill him in melee range (Hulk or any number of super-powered ones)
@You're under 19 don't argue bro Spider-Man is literally leagues ahead of Kingpin he has to hold back to not kill him. There’s a comic where Spider-Man gets serious and basically beats him half to death no difficult.
Kingpin is also very intelligent, and that clearly transfers with the infection. It’s likely that he still has his persuasive and manipulative side and that that has worked in his favor
@@kappadarwin9476 he can’t ignore spidysence, I think like Noah said above plot convenience, writers had to kill and end it someway. 😂 😂 I just hate that Spider-Man always has to be the one nerfed 😂
Real reason? The writer needed Pete to be incompetent, they needed to find a way to get him killed, my headcanon reason? Peter knew what was about to happen, he knew Frank was going to kill him, but he also knew that he was a monster that had to die, but not before he knew Mary Jane was safe, not before he could hold her one last time, when all was said and done, he willingly let himself get shot.
I would actually like to see Spiderman genuinely "eradicate the Marvel Universe" but like intentionally. I think he could pull it off too. 1) His connections. He is known and respected by most superhero teams 2) His scientific mind. He is one of the fastest and most versatile thinkers on the planet. He can basicly think while he fights 3) His powers. While he isn't the heavy-duty hitter in Marvel he can definitely hold his own. I think that the only thing that keeps him from doing this is his sence of responsibility. But everyone has a breaking point. I think maybe a villian finally takes out everyone Spidey cares about. Spidey looses it and decides to take "ultimate" responsibility and take over the world.
Well if we get a Knull / Peter Parker with the power of the king in black to it full potential a power to rival Beyonder his Spider sense amped up to nearly cosmic awareness trough the symbiote multiversal hive mind and the ability of the venom from Venom The end story line to be able to assimilate anyone and replicate there power though what we now know are the codex there would be pretty much no stopping him. The Eventually said that Peter was tailor made to be the King in black meaning he would be able to handle the power of the title in full. A What if of a Spiderman who stayed with the symbiote to the point of reaching the final stage of a king in black and going nuts with the responsibility would be awesome.
@ChaosSpear019 I think at this point the symbiote is more...Venom's thing. So that sennario would apply more to Eddie Brock. Besides Peter usually doesn't rely on things like the symbiote. I think he'd use some kind of tech gizmo
But would his connections help him do that? Amongst normal Earthbound heroes maybe he could do it though there's definitely some that would require writers conveniently sabotaging them.
@Primary Bith Punisher and Deadpool have managed to take over the Marvel universe. Despite being overpowered they use what they know of the heroes to over power them. I think Spidey could manage that even better given he's even more clever then them
If Spiderman did kill the marvel universe, I would imagine he might get some help maybe, might see dead pool or some villains fill the ranks. Maybe it will be a superior Spiderman story, with Spiderman being taken over by venom or Doc ock, I think its plausible
Iron man suffered a cruel fate, this story was insane! Man its hard to say what hasn't already been said about Frank's character, hes always been interesting. Spider-man as the villain was fun, seems like the entire incident was Frank's fault in the beginning though.
Not a plot hole, Peter knew. Think about the why of everything, why did Peter string along Frank? Why did he go to him when MJ was captured and not go himself? It’s pretty self explanatory if you think about it
Its always interesting how they have to make some heroes weaker to kill them off in these kind of stories. Again just breaking wolverine apart or an arrow to the brain kills the hulk or again spider man could not dodge the bullet.
Susan Storm killing Franklin is literally just "we need him gone to have a story." There was no logical reason to kill him. She could have simply asked him "hey, can you wave your hand and revert all that happened and make the plague go away?" And it would have happened, especially with his sister's genius to help guide him. They definitely could have done a little bit more to explain it at least, like saying Susan got infected and killed him for food at least.
The point of most of that is that nobody really knows, it isn’t the write explaining things it’s Frank. It also works to allow for it to be explained later like with Wolverine and Iron Man
Wolverines claws are attached to muscles and ligaments that slide in and out of his forearms and nestle between the radius and ulna. They are separate bones from the ones in his arm and to remove them just rip the soft tissue no breaking of bones needed
There are actually 2 more stories to this One following Wolverine's perspective And the perspective of the heroes who tried to fight the infection head on in NY as a last stand I recommend covering the Wolverine perspective one because it's the most interesting and shows what happened in the battle of brooklyn Edit: It also shows (if I remember correctly) that the claw actually broke off in a different way in his perspective, not the bullshit that was "frank used a tank"
@@kubamcmillan3078 There was a different comic in 95 called, Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe. But it kinda sucked because it didn't show how he killed the heavy hitters.
Always have a love hate relationship with how these "bad ending universes: always need to find a way to take out Wolverine that 616 Logan just wouldn't be the victim of. Like his healing just kinda stopping in the Brood version of Marvel Zombies, or his durability getting all wonky so that Hulk can tear him limb from limb (something which I'm almost certain 616 Hulk has admitted he full on *can't* do) and Punisher of all people can break adamantium. Yeah there are characters you need to get rid of to let these one off alternate universe stories actually occur, but it always feels really cheap when you see *how* they're removed from the story. Granted, it is nice they acknowledge that he can regrow limbs if need be.
@@shortybo69 I did learn after this that there's several runs in this universe, so I did see that he made it out alive. But I feel like my point still stands, since he did still get his arm torn off and his claw snapped. But I am glad they didn't go all the way and discard him to make the story happen.
This is honestly way more interesting than what I expected I originally thought it was spider man get a mad about something and decided to show ppl he is one of the most formidable characters in Marvel
They literally spidey sense off just so the punisher could actually kill Spider-Man. There’s 0 way Spider-Man trusted Punisher enough for it not to work and people got full sentences out before Punisher even shot. Crazy
You people are really not good at thinking about things in context are you. Why would Peter not react to punisher blowing his brains out, why was he stringing Frank along before MJ was even captured, why did he even want Frank to help when she was. He knew Frank, he knew what Franks end goal was, so, why didn’t he react?
comicsexplained is THE BEST comics guy on RUclips. I always have a chuckle at his enthusiasm. "And it's AMAZING". 😅 Makes him a cut above the rest in my opinion. You just feel his passion for comics.
Damn well that ending is anticlimactic. Every single time Spider-Man dies in a comic like this, he always dies by a gunshot that he could have easily dodged if it wasn't for writers forgetting he has Spider-Sense.
So , Spiderman can turn a whole universe into cabalistic monsters , outsmart and outfight the biggest threats the marvel universe has to offer , yet he can't dodge a bullet , guess the spidey sense left the chat that day
In defense of him breaking off the claw, adamantium is very hard, but hard metals are brittle. With the right leverage, it's possible that he could snap one.
Adamantium is more than just a hard metal....it's known in the comics for being nearly indestructible. Given the amount of punishment that Wolverine has endured, he would've had broken bones from many fights with super-powered beings and cosmic entities way stronger than the leverage of a modern army vehicle and the muscle power of a normal human. It's just poor writing. If they really wanted to go for it they simply could have realized that tendons, ligaments, and sinew are simply organic and not adamantium. No need for a contrived reason he was able to break a piece of adamantium.
I 100% in love with this much effort they always made me and my family happy so I decided to put it on the TV and my whole family was laughing and enjoying it
Never heard of this story until I found the entire run in a Punisher section of discount comics. I love the Punisher and love this iteration of Marvel Zombies. Thanks for giving it some love
One thing I find confusing is how Deadpool was effected? I'm unsure which version of his powers this comic uses but from one I believe that his body always reverts back to the state that it was in when he first got his powers.
A couple possibilities to why the punisher was able to kill spiderman even with the spider sense 1.) since punisher saved MJ, Peter might’ve seen him not as a threat anymore and so his spider sense didn’t go off (keep in mind this version of peter is “simplified”) 2.) because the punisher is only set on infected and survivors/good and bad, the punisher was set on killing him from the start. This might’ve set off peters spider sense the entire time they were together. This means Peter would’ve had to ignore the constant sense of danger. With that being said, since he was ignoring his sense, the gun might’ve not made it go off. Peters spider-sense is capable of sensing all dangers and unconsciously reacting to dangers (think when doctor strange tried to take that thing from him in the movies and his spider-sense automatically made him move even though Peter was knocked out of his body). I’m not sure how exactly his spider sense works but I’m assuming it’s like a meter. It goes up depending on the level of danger a threat poses and spikes when something like a gun is shot, which is why he automatically reacts. The punisher could’ve left his sense spiked the whole time meaning when the gun was pulled there was no change in threat level. Just some thoughts
I'd love to see a tier list of Marvel's cosmic hierarchy. Reality warpers, gods and cosmic entities, characters with insane power ups, all ranked. Astral Regulator Thanos, The One Above All, HOTU Thanos, White Phoenix of the Crown, Pre-Retcon Beyonder, the Living Tribunal, God Emperor Doom, Matthew Malloy, Chaos King, Mad Jim Jaspers, the Marquis of Death. Nobody off limits. It'd be cool trying to determine if Franklin Richards could beat Michael Korvac, or who's stronger between Rune King Thor and Chaos War Hercules. A video like that would be pretty long, and would have to cover something like 50 characters or more I'd imagine, so it's a big ask. A lot of them would be characters you've already covered in the Beyond Omega Level series, it would just be a matter of ranking them. That would be insanely awesome and I think if there's a guy on RUclips who can do it, it's you.
while this story is depressing like others, i do like how this story isnt ur typical zombie story. It's cannibals and although primitive, can still reason. Usually I wouldnt believe Someone saying we will leave you alone which I like frank calls out on, but in this story they dont technically have to eat people or are forced to, It's just a want rather than a need. MJ is proof of that as well as the survivors. Also like how this story somewhat ends on a bittersweet note. There are survivors and with main tribes of the cannibals being taken out, frank stays behind to clean up the rest acknowledging he is a monster as well. I will say I do feel a bit sad for Spidey as it actually seemed like he was gonna keep his end of the deal but also yea spidey did kill people and heralded the beginning of this plague so I understand why frank did it. Sometimes to kill a monster u have to become one. Im guessing he decided to do that when MJ called him a good person because while he is doing good things like helping people, deep down he knew that it was for selfish reasons and is just killing people at the end of the day
Punisher here probably got the thickest plot armor in existence. Like dude broke wolverines claw and shot Spiderman (bypassing spidey sense) both are almost imposible.
This was "Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe", right? I had this comic a while back. Also, I'm not totally sure Thor went back and infected Asgard. He didn't eat Ares and Hercules when he killed them, he just left. I assumed he killed the two of them because they were infected, then just left because saving the world was a lost cause at that point. I also wouldn't say it was *entirely* Frank's fault for what happened. If he hadn't stopped them, they'd have just released all this stuff themselves anyway. Ultimately, what should have happened was the normal superheroes should have known about what was being transported before the Punisher stopped it. It's partly his negligence at shooting the briefcase, and partly the rest of the heroes for letting something so dangerous get smuggled in without any of them knowing or doing anything about it. Last, I imagine what happened with Iron Man is that, after he became infected and changed inside his suit, he was either no longer in possession of the necessary intelligence to make the suit work, or alternatively the internal AI in the suit saw what happened and locked it up completely to make sure he couldn't hurt anybody.
Saving the world wasn't a lost cause at that point. He left because the plot demanded there couldn't be someone that powerful and immune. Thor could have contacted the survivors working on a cure. Frank is a pretty good marksman....he could've killed the smugglers without destroying the briefcase. His fault plain and simple. If it had been a briefcase nuke or some other virulent real life infectious agent then he still would be the one at fault for risking the collateral damage.
So you mean to tell me, the reason spider man survived was cause of how broken his spider sense is, and by the end, he dies from a gun, while doing nothing? Guess spider sense didn't kick in....gun shots are reality warping level!
Bro you gotta stop saying words like "basically" and "essentially" so much, especially when it doesn't apply to what you're saying lol. Like you can't say it's "basically Deadpool" when it's actually Deadpool himself, just doesn't make sense.
4:33 - “We can largely assume that Thor went back to Asgard and turned everyone.” If he did turn, why didn’t he eat Ares and Hercules? From Punisher’s anecdote, it sounds like Thor killed a turned Ares and Hercules, then left out of remorse for killing what he would consider brothers.
I have never read any of the comics but I already knew Frank was gonna do this. And the only reason why I knew is because I was in the Marine Corps and this is exactly what I would have done. Same mentality.

of course. The real title was "The Punisher kills Marvel Universe"
He didn’t download the newest update
It’s cause he subsumed to the pathogen. So by the time his suit died pretty much he became infected so he didn’t have the know how on to get out.
I could see the suit AI detecting his infection and locking down because of that. I'm probably wrong but I could see that being a failsafe too.
You could chalk it up to there not needed a situation for him to get out bet eh comics
Spider-Man's spidey-sense is like Flash's superspeed: plot driven.
I can't see Tony not having a way out of his suit. He's a genius and he probably has thought about going up against an opponent who could knock out his systems and still have a way to open his suit
yeah this story really sucked imo. really lazy writing
Tony had turned cannibal. The suit shutoff as a contingency
that's the point of what ifs and Else world story just to tell interesting concepts without being restricted
@@oaktownraider119 bruh what
@@TonyAlexander-on4syHe thought he was safe from the infection, but he wasn't.
@@wheeledion memory could be hazy. Call me crazy. I had sex with a girl named daisy. I was lazy, lets goo babyy
Thank you, both of you. Couldn't figure out the name and it was bugging me
He's putting in a fun and interesting perspective.
But theres no indication in the story that, that part of the Viruses "forced evolution" is true.
we see that deadpool is surprisingly smart in spite of being infected and spidey seems to have more complicated concepts like keeping survivors alive without eating them what a promise is and a sense of empathy for his "mate"
odds are that healing factors can somewhat fight off the plague and possibly eventually heal them or at least adapt to the infection(which is why the comic had to rip wolverine to pieces so this wouldnt be obvious i assume)
maybe frank castle in his usual shoot first think never just killed a potential cure for the virus
Spider-Man gets more crap thrown at him than Nightwing

This isn't even a 'Spider-Man Kills the Marvel Universe' story, it's closer to a 'Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe' story. Punisher has the most confirmed named character kills under his belt, he's supposedly the reason the plague happened in the first place, hell he even gets the first and last on panel kills!

@@lewismarte3325 Yeah, and now that I think about it, the title is total clickbait. And another channel gets blocked.

Although i do understand he would have a high chance of making a cure (look at his knowledge of Extremis) but I feel like a story about Tony making do with remaining resources, getting data to try and make a cure and fighting to survive in this apocalypse would be a fun story, they could even say Tony's exposure to Extremis wasn't reversed in this world and thus his altered biology was immune or something along the lines of the Extremis keeps it from having an effect
in avengers vs the marvel universe tony was working with doom who claimed to have a cure and doom subrogated iron mans suit killing him.
10:40 "Even black bolt, but it really doesn't matter anyway cuz Black Bolt sucks." 😂🤣 only Rob can say that line with a straight face.
I had no idea I have to check those out.
I saw another video labeled wolverine kills the marvel universe a couple days ago, and today found this. I was so confused at first cause the events laid out the exact same, but it makes since now that you explained it how you did thanks man 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@boinkslumpy anytime glad my comment was informative 😃
In a world where Wolverine can be killed, broken into pieces, and eaten, Frank Castle can absolutely snap off one of Wolverine's claws.
And shoot Spiderman in the head
wolverine wasn't killed his arm was just ripped off. also in this universe they claim the hulk is the strongest he has ever been but feet's don't really back it up
@@thefallencog"sometimes to the wind" made me cackle 😂
Wolverine didn't die. Frank thought he was dead because he disappeared. Hulk ripped off his arm and wore it like a necklace, but Wolverine survived the fight and grew back his arm.
4:22 Thor getting possessed and still possessing Mjolnir is a plot hole. If he's possessed, he can't be worthy.
100% agree with Frank in this story. They had to die and sometimes it takes a monster to kill a monster

oh for sure he did the right thing overall and only he is "Frank" enough to pull all that off. otherwise thered still be a huge threat left in Manhattan. Castle solved that.

Says the Man that literally started this whole hell
How the heck didn’t Spider-Man know he was about to be shot in the head 😂 crazy
Plot convince
Spiderman ignored the warning, he was too busy celebrating to dodge.
Plot contrivance.

He did break it, he leveraged the tank to rip it out
I would actually like to see Spiderman genuinely "eradicate the Marvel Universe" but like intentionally.
I think he could pull it off too.
1) His connections. He is known and respected by most superhero teams
2) His scientific mind. He is one of the fastest and most versatile thinkers on the planet. He can basicly think while he fights
3) His powers.
Oh come on! This doesn't count as a kills the marvel universe story! You got me all excited that they actually made one!
Iron man suffered a cruel fate, this story was insane! Man its hard to say what hasn't already been said about Frank's character, hes always been interesting. Spider-man as the villain was fun, seems like the entire incident was Frank's fault in the beginning though.
The plot hole here was that spiderman's spidersense should have alerted him. Especially since it was right in front of him.
Not a plot hole, Peter knew. Think about the why of everything, why did Peter string along Frank? Why did he go to him when MJ was captured and not go himself? It’s pretty self explanatory if you think about it
Just the fact of having Multiple Man in these mass infection scenario stories is reason enough to know all hope is lost.
Its always interesting how they have to make some heroes weaker to kill them off in these kind of stories. Again just breaking wolverine apart or an arrow to the brain kills the hulk or again spider man could not dodge the bullet.
@TEXme-ko2io no thanks
Plot twist Dopinder turns out to be the Indian Spiderman.
HA ! I understand that reference 😂
And all his hero philosophy is learned from dp's cab rides.
It also works to allow for it to be explained later like with Wolverine and Iron Man
Rob, PLEASE do the other 2 stories. In this series, Avengers and Wolverine vs. the Marvel Universe. It would make me so happy
Name of the series????
Wolverines claws are attached to muscles and ligaments that slide in and out of his forearms and nestle between the radius and ulna. They are separate bones from the ones in his arm and to remove them just rip the soft tissue no breaking of bones needed
There are actually 2 more stories to this
One following Wolverine's perspective
And the perspective of the heroes who tried to fight the infection head on in NY as a last stand
I recommend covering the Wolverine perspective one because it's the most interesting and shows what happened in the battle of brooklyn
Edit: It also shows (if I remember correctly) that the claw actually broke off in a different way in his perspective, not the bullshit that was "frank used a tank"

Funny part is wolverine is still alive in this universe.
@@shortybo69 I did learn after this that there's several runs in this universe, so I did see that he made it out alive. Damn well that ending is anticlimactic. Every single time Spider-Man dies in a comic like this, he always dies by a gunshot that he could have easily dodged if it wasn't for writers forgetting he has Spider-Sense.
2:58 thats just the view as is lmao
So , Spiderman can turn a whole universe into cabalistic monsters , outsmart and outfight the biggest threats the marvel universe has to offer , yet he can't dodge a bullet , guess the spidey sense left the chat that day
Writers try not to undermine Spider-man challenge (impossible difficulty)
Honestly, I'm on board with the idea he let Frank kill him in that state, given how he was still a threat to everything.
It was Punisher to unleash the virus, Spidey was patient zero.
I don’t understand how The Punisher was able to pull a gun out and shoot Spider-man when he survived against other foes due to his spider sense
No need for a contrived reason he was able to break a piece of adamantium.

take a shot anytime he says "basically" "essentially" or "pretty much"
When you said “mate” for a significant other, I instantly thought you were speaking of MJ’s friend from school or somethin.
Never heard of this story until I found the entire run in a Punisher section of discount comics. I love the Punisher and love this iteration of Marvel Zombies. Thanks for giving it some love
What's the name of it
One thing I find confusing is how Deadpool was effected? I'm unsure which version of his powers this comic uses but from one I believe that his body always reverts back to the state that it was in when he first got his powers.
Only the real OG's know that rob remade this story from like 6-8 years ago.
This guys gotta learn adverbs other than “kind of a” “basically” “essentially” and “literally”
A couple possibilities to why the punisher was able to kill spiderman even with the spider sense
1.) since punisher saved MJ, Peter might’ve seen him not as a threat anymore and so his spider sense didn’t go off (keep in mind this version of peter is “simplified”)
2.) because the punisher is only set on infected and survivors/good and bad, the punisher was set on killing him from the start.
That's a perfect world for The Punisher.
F$%#^ing love your videos! The one that made me a fan was the infinity story you did back in like 2013...Love you bro!
while this story is depressing like others, i do like how this story isnt ur typical zombie story.
Im guessing he decided to do that when MJ called him a good person because while he is doing good things like helping people, deep down he knew that it was for selfish reasons and is just killing people at the end of the day
Frank heralded the beginning of the plague. He set these events in motion; Spider-Man was actually just among the first victims.

21:20 frank should have been like "say that again see what happens" to the priest
Frank is so awesome, every powered being dies except him, leaving him in his sense of utopia of black and white open season
8:15 No, i dont think i will.

Good video, but if I heard the word “basically” one more time, I was gonna go feral
So you mean to tell me, the reason spider man survived was cause of how broken his spider sense is, and by the end, he dies from a gun, while doing nothing? Guess spider sense didn't kick in....gun shots are reality warping level!
I’m a grown man with no time for comics like I used to have. I definitely appreciate this kind of content helping me hold on to it a bit
Bro you gotta stop saying words like "basically" and "essentially" so much, especially when it doesn't apply to what you're saying lol. Like you can't say it's "basically Deadpool" when it's actually Deadpool himself, just doesn't make sense.
Now I basically can’t stop hearing it basically
4:33 - “We can largely assume that Thor went back to Asgard and turned everyone.”
If he did turn, why didn’t he eat Ares and Hercules? From Punisher’s anecdote, it sounds like Thor killed a turned Ares and Hercules, then left out of remorse for killing what he would consider brothers.
Can't even imagine the absolute thrill this would be as a full feature movie series.
Wolverine didn't die, he did escape from New york and is working on helping Reed with collecting uninfected people.
