Magneto could literally tie Wolverine's bones into knots. Just because he can regenerate doesn't mean he can move. I think my biggest problem with all this is that the heroes (especially a tactical genius like Cap and a strategic genius like Nick Fury) would never have left fighting back for that late. As soon as the teleporter problem became clear, knocking that out (with nuclear bunker busters if the heroes couldn't take care of it) would have been top priority.
I have to blame the heroes on this one. The dialogue seems to imply the "Teleports behind you, nothing personnel kid" technique was used relatively often. Like, you only have yourself to blame if you fall for the same trick that many times.

Honestly, they need to do a series where a character does something nice for everyone in the Marvel Universe to balance the scales a bit. My vote goes to the Great Lakes Avengers. Those guys seriously need a win.
Let's be perfectly fair here, as OP as Wolverine is, even in-universe the reason he was so unstoppable here was because there was a hidden third party (Hydra) teleporting Wolverine around. This 100% plays into 'Wolverine Publicity", Wolverine is so strong because he has plot armor (there's another comic where multi-dimensional Deadpools all war with each other, and our universe's Deadpool knows outright he's the only one who can win because he's got plot armor). That being said, I love when the writers remember just how damn OP some of the 'lesser' X-men can be as well, like Kitty and Jubilee (I mention her cause there's another comic where some bad guy basically tricks future her into using her powers to be able to cause 'fireworks' on a cosmic scale, with her being beaten by present-day Jubilee being like 'ugh gross, never' and a time paradox erases Cosmic-Jubilee)

With the entirety of Earth´s heroes concentrating only on Wolvie and other than a last minute blocker, which strangely only works very locally, do nothing to try to stop the source of the teleportation or mind control. I mean... Hydra need to sense the area to be able to target him, but that is all handwaved
@dragoonofdarkness1826 i mean he does kill Jubilee in Old Man Logan. But it does show him coming to his sense and realizing he killed her and holding her blood soaked body that seems to break him. Along with him killing all the other X-Men. But yeah. Kitty & Jubilee are the daughters he never had. He has a closer and more special relationship with them than any of the other X-Men. He's closer to them than he is even to Laura.
I refuse to believe that out of everyone in the marvel universe, Kitty Pryde was the only one to handle Wolverine. This is definitely another case of writer plot hole armor
I don't think he would be any worse than Sabretooth. Creed is stronger and is already without morals or limits so I don't see why Logan could cause more harm.

Even with his teleportation wolverine wouldn't be able to kill certain heroes, I'm curious as to how he managed to kill Luke cage but Logans definitely got some chance for killing some heroes like spiderman just because his healing factor and ability to not die so easy. He'd just never stop.
Couldnt spiderman just swing from one sky scraper to another and wait for him to get tired lol, these stories make no sense i dont know why they spend money writing them
@@justDani99 temporarily yeah but like he said to kitty in this issue, he would have to eat and sleep eventually. Even without teleportation wolverine could kill spiderman. It wouldn't be easy but he could do it, it's just a matter of time with Logan, it's like the immortal snail thing, it's always gonna come for you. Eventually Peter would get tired, and there's no hiding from wolverine. But to be fair peter has his spidersense but like others have said it also depends on the writer.
@@sygyzy0933if both characters were written fatefully to their cannon abilities wolverine wouldn't have a change, Spiderman strength is a lot over Logan's, if u put Logan in the same strength category as Captain America or even one higher, spiderman still way stronger than both, and considering Logan can't die Spiderman could just punch him full power. Spiderman is more agile and also has future sight (let's be honest that's pretty much what spidersense is). Ain't no way the edgy ninja could get him.
Unfortunately, Cage skin can still be cut by materials of higher grade than Titanium, like diamond. Even though Logan can't pierce Cage's skin, Cage could still bleed out and die if he loses too much blood. There's a comic where Luke Cage was getting cut by laser whips and he passed out from losing too much blood.
I don't think people consider the fact that everytime a comic about a alternate reality where a hero goes evil they nurf the hell out of him. Seriously this man throws down hands with everyone then gets easily killed?
Great video. Still, Wolvie would've had his ass handed to him before he could've gotten to this point. Hard to be angry with the writer though. It's a fun little story and Garth Ennis already did a similar one off story with The Punisher where he took out a bunch of OP characters out with ease.

The whole point of Spider Man’s spider sense is that he can’t be stabbed in the back. He beat the entire X-men in the OG Secret Wars which was a company wide event and therefore irrefutable canon. Only Prof X had the power to stop him and had Pete been aware of the abilities of the x-men he would have take Xavier out first
More plot armor, it was all to build up Spidey and the super suit (Venom) through SW. No way in hell could Spidey take out the entire team, if he can be messed up by some of his B villains at times (i.e Vulture, Rhino, etc). It's all about how the writer wants it to go.
This Is Kinda Similar To The Comic Book Series Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe, But Instead Of Deadpool, You Get Wolverine Killing The Marvel Universe.
He only has to win once. Teleportation is actually quite a problem. Spiderman would have kept him locked up in webs the whole time by himself if not for that cop out
@@maridiancrest243 i dont see wolverine being able to out maneuver Spiderman. He would have to out endurance him. And pete is smart enough to figure a way out of that. Spidey sense can 100% give him enough time to figure out a way

Wolverine isnt being teleported inside of spidey. He still needs to close the gap after being teleported even if it’s directly behind him.
Let's be clear. Wolverine Can be hurt, he's hard to kill. There was an issue of XMen way back in the day, where Logan had gotten into a battle. The battle ended with knives or swords sticking out of him. One of the XMen asked him, "I thought you said that you can't be hurt? " His response was " I never said that I can't be hurt, only that I'm hard to kill. I feel everything but I don't let it stop me", or something to that effect. His healing powers don't stop his nerves from responding to stimuli, otherwise he couldn't feel cold or heat. Just saying.
This was a great story. Wolverine is full of surprises. But if he killed every hero, does that mean he killed deadpool too with his own healing factor?

I love wolverine. He's my favorite. But he's not quite as good as you are making him out to be. He could actually be killed quite easily depending on who he's facing. His main weakness healing factor wise is suffocation. That's all it would take. Superman for instance could take him to space. Anyone strong enough could hold him underwater. He can heal wonderfully but it's not limitless. Removing his brain stem would work as well.
Uh. No? He's regenerated from being drowned. The man has regenerated from being a spot of blood on the ground. He took a Nuclear Bomb to the face. You think that didn't remove his brain stem? Have you read much Wolverine? Genuine question.
Agreed. Even in the 90’s cartoon show Colossus, Juggernaut, and even Blob easily defeated him. Even in the real world, with no superpowers we could kill him. You hit him with some rocket launchers and then throw the body in the cement foundation of a skyscraper. He’s tough but not world breaking tough.
@@Davidsworldtravels the cement itself would probably suffocate him. He has come back from one drop of blood before and has amazing fighting skills and his very strong. But he definitely isn't top tier in strength. I agree with you. He probably could not power his way out layers of concrete. After s couple minutes though that wouldn't even be the issue as he wouldn't be able to breath. I noticed that in the movie when they had him suffocating under water and then healing. Just not how it would work.

Wolverine being burned down to a skeleton and then 'healing' is always so absurd. That's not healing, that's just magic. No matter how fast you can heal, the meat and tissue needs to come from somewhere. Our bodies take in food, and that's what all of our muscle and skin is made of. Even if somehow one cell of his tissue is all that is needed to regenerate his body, the calories and protein to actually BUILD that body needs to come from somewhere. (Nevermind the fact that whatever gets regenerated would be a blank slate, all his memories wouldn't be encoded in a handful of cells.) I miss the days when Wolverine had actual limits, it's impossible to take him seriously anymore.
I Think of it less as healing and more like reversing back to a healthy state like a save point in games. Its reversing the damage back to his state before he was damaged. Cuz you are right its definitely not healing. Tho in the hugh jackman movies he was shot in the head but "healed" without his memories intact
In the original "Days of Future Past" comic, a sentinel hits him with a flamethrower and just burns all his tissue, and he dies! It was an alternate future so of course it didn't stick, but Nitro gave him basically the same injury, flesh gone, skeleton left... but no, he's fine in like 4-5 panels. I hated that part. I could buy it if he was just heavily charred, but they showed his flesh being *gone*
Wolverine is awesome. But he's not op. He often has trouble fighting his own rogues gallery. Heck, the writers literally had to give him teleportation to even the odds with so many heroes. And while he may be able to regenerate from anything, you don't need to kill an opponent to win.
Im surprised it wasn't just an easy mode of Reed Richards having a space where the teleporter wouldn't work and just yeeting Logan into the negative zone. Same with Dr. Strange, it's hard to have such a share universe because then you have to make up excuses for everyone and everything.
So like- is it at all explained in the story itself why they didn't go after Hydra for mind-controlling Logan? Also, I know he's powerful, extremely powerful, but I absolutely do not buy that he killed nearly every hero on Earth.
Thats the best question ive seen posted. So many people are questioning about whether Wolverine can kill certain characters when the real question is why the Heroes dont simply Kill off Hydra. I think the whole no kill policy should be disregarded in this case/war.
The solution should have been non-powered SHIELD agents ripping up Hydra left and right, along with normal human military and intelligence forces. Eventually, they won't have anywhere to hide. That Teleporter has to be somewhere, and it has to be pretty big. Take that out first, then focus on the mad animal - whatever powered individuals there are would have to intentionally act as bait and to buy time for this. Granted, there'll be a lot of potential pardons going around for villains, too. And what about Victor Von Doom? He has a whole country, military, and everything that goes with it. Once he realizes Logan is going to kill everything and put Hydra in charge (and not HIM), he should have been the first answer - send his nation against Hydra, carte blanche. Soo... sooo many plot holes, here..
Yea only way he can go off is if Magneto was shut down. Magneto can literally rip the metal from his bones, and use it like a blender to basically liquidfy Wolverine. Or make it into a box and literally squish him, or just trap him in a box made from his own bones. Anyway you cut it, Magneto's his leash.
I know it's pedantic but cells like in 4:34 shouldn't be able to happen since adamantium is weaker than vibranium. Also, giving wolverine teleportation is such a cop out. Give anyone instant transmission and they could probably kill anyone. It's like saying that Batman is the strongest superhero because he has a white lantern ring.
Dude, I saw your comment and that panel at the same time. Like "Did Wolvie's claws just puncture right through Cap's shield? Since when is that possible??"
You got it the wrong way around. Vibranium is weaker than adamantium. Not by much, and it does possess some unique properties in terms of kinetic energy management that allows vibranium to hold its own against adamantium for a while, but no, eventually vibranium loses. Adamantium just straight up cannot be deformed in its solid state (except by Magneto), whereas vibranium is still very much a destructible material.
Also Cap's shield is a mix of Vibranium and Adamntium. Still a little bit weaker than pure adamantium in terms of durability. Though yeah, I don't think Wolvie's claws would pierce through it like butter.
I love me some Wolverine but what we really need is some more X-Men exposure, I don't like how we've gone so long with so little from one of the best groups comics has to offer. Got a good laugh at the idea of Wolverine being so fast that Spiderman's Spider Sense couldn't keep up with him. Logan must've been in one hell of a fit of rage to be moving that fast.
This story makes absolute NO sense even for a "What If" story standards: *First, it is impossible that Wolverine could just move so fast that not even Spider-Man's spider sense would detect him before strike. *Second, if you look closely to one of the panels of the comic book at 4:38 , Wolverine's claws penetrate Captain America's shield. Supposedly, Adamantium (Wolverine's claws) cannnot penetrate Vibranium (Cap's shield). *Third, if Wolverine is mind-controlled, then why the hell he talks like if he is not mind-controlled? Besides, in previous stories Wolverine developed a resistance against mind control and telepathic attacks courtesy of Professor X, so it makes no sense he was easily manipulated. *Fourth, how did he kill Hulk and Deadpool by using only his claws? Considering both Hulk and Deadpool have the exact (if not a better) regenerative healing factor like Wolverine. Overall, it is impossible Wolverine could kill many heroes and villains only with his claws. Even the other What If story where The Punisher kills the entire Marvel universe makes much more sense, as that story clearly shows how Frank kills each of the heroes and villains using either their weaknesses or more creative and logical actions. This Wolverine story does not.
A trained killer with unbreakable bones, a healing factor and enhanced senses is formidable but adding the ability to teleport makes him nearly unstoppable. Cap's plan A should have been to kill Wolverine and capturing him should have been plan B.
Why doesnt Magneto just hold him down with his powers or rip the iron out out of his blood endlessly to disable him? His skeleton is a form of metal after all....
The 2010 Wolverine run confirms once and for all that he is the best at killing. With muramasa, not a single being on the 616 earth could survive if he wanted them dead.
@donovanlarsen7982 In 2020 wolverine survived several ouerversal REALMS OF EXISTENCE which were actively attacking him all at once trying to kill him, including celestial universes, marvel zombies universe, ect. He survived due to his healing factor and at the same time assassinated an eldritch being using Muramasa. In the 2010 run, shield also called it the most powerful weapon on earth and it was stated several times that nobody could survive getting cut by it. In that same run, Romolus also gave Skaar a high difficulty fight in which he really sustained no damage but skaar did.
It’s sorta sad seeing Wolverine killing Spider-Man. Because in the comics majority or the time the two get along really well. Hell they even introduce one another to their kids in one comic series.
0:13 *pushee glasses up* That wasn't a nuke. That was a mutant (Nitro, I believe) who was overpowered due to said injection. It was during Wolverine's Civil War arc that lead into Secret Invasion.
ngl this story was lowkey bullshit like why couldnt magneto just yk rip him into two at literally any moment and why couldnt they just send doctor strange or thor after him or even the sentry i mean he attacked the president of usa and all they send are street level characters. in a world where mutants and literal gods exist also why didnt they plan an attack on hydra to permantally remove the teleportation . idk man seems kinda like bs to me
I think people really over estimate his powers. Sure he is tough, sure he can regen. I think Poor writing is to blame. He doesnt have super strength, he doesnt have super intelligence, he doesnt have super speed...But hey, if thats what the fans want...
So I actually don't think Wolverine would be that bad of a problem on his own. You get him "down" once then just cook him... forever. His adamantium skeleton shouldn't be able to move if the muscle is never allowed to heal. Couldn't Kitty Pryde make his skull phase and drop his brain on the floor? I mean metal way to go out but like... not my first idea with her power set.
Meh, kind of a crap comic. I mean sure, Wolverine is real dangerous when you add super accurate Nightcrawler teleportation to him, but without that he would have stopped at Spidey lol. Besides, there are just so many ways for the MU to stop him long enough to get him contained. Hell, Invisible Woman could have put one of those forcefields in his brain. He heals fast, but not _that_ fast. Having his brain turned to mush would knock him out for a couple of minutes, or even just 30 seconds. I just don't think "teleporting man who sniffs and stabs" is all you need to topple the MU. Also, why did Cap think punching him would work? Of all the things that could put Logan down temporarily, and there are a LOT of those, why a punch from a peak-human? Shit, shoot him in the eye, buy a bottle of cheap liquor and molotov him, anything would have been more effective than that lol.
Great video, but many people can kill Wolverine EASILY. Magneto would basically control his body and then move all the adamantium in his body into his brain. Dead. Dr. Strange could instantly put him into the Marvel Zombies death loop universe. Constantine could kick Wolverines ass EASILY. Put wolverine into a small and tight adamantium box and hurl it into space or into the ocean. He will die repeatedly and infinitely. This book is pretty much garbage. The ultimate nullifier wipes him easily.
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.🎉❤😊😊😊😊

@@6FStyleCo Thanks! So the last option of duct taping himself together until he healed, lmfao. Real world logic in Comic book world, not trying to argue, just thinking out loud. Right because the moment Eric grabs Logan wiht his power he should proceed to swiss cheese his ass if he has the metal in his body. Instagib.
The writer of this comic must be really desperate for Wolverine, a man full of metal, to win against the Master of Magnetism.
Makes no sense why magneto couldn't hold the shield and rip wolverine apart
Writers should just made hydra demagnetize his bones
I have to blame the heroes on this one. The dialogue seems to imply the "Teleports behind you, nothing personnel kid" technique was used relatively often.
Like, you only have yourself to blame if you fall for the same trick that many times.

Let's be clear. Wolverine Can be hurt, he's hard to kill. There was an issue of XMen way back in the day, where Logan had gotten into a battle. The battle ended with knives or swords sticking out of him. One of the XMen asked him, "I thought you said that you can't be hurt? I love wolverine. He's my favorite. But he's not quite as good as you are making him out to be. He could actually be killed quite easily depending on who he's facing. His main weakness healing factor wise is suffocation. That's all it would take. Superman for instance could take him to space. Anyone strong enough could hold him underwater. He can heal wonderfully but it's not limitless. Removing his brain stem would work as well.

(Nevermind the fact that whatever gets regenerated would be a blank slate, all his memories wouldn't be encoded in a handful of cells.)
I miss the days when Wolverine had actual limits, it's impossible to take him seriously anymore.
I Think of it less as healing and more like reversing back to a healthy state like a save point in games. Its reversing the damage back to his state before he was damaged. Cuz you are right its definitely not healing. Tho in the hugh jackman movies he was shot in the head but "healed" without his memories intact

Wolverine only has to win once. Even if he loses a thousand times. Eventually teleporting behind you will work on most people
The solution should have been non-powered SHIELD agents ripping up Hydra left and right, along with normal human military and intelligence forces.
So did Magneto just forget he can fully control metal and electromagnetic waves in this universe or what?
I know you mostly do DC and marvel stuff but it'd be cool to see you talk about other comics like the nailbiter series or more vertigo stuff
4:05 Sue Storm: "No Kitty, I'm not your step-brother, and I'm not going to 'rescue' you. Just bloody stand up."
I remember reading the original one where they stopped Logan and I kept thinking is was going to turn into this.
Well oh that was happening Banner was living in the forest lol
This story makes absolute NO sense even for a "What If" story standards:
*First, it is impossible that Wolverine could just move so fast that not even Spider-Man's spider sense would detect him before strike.

Wolverine: able to kill the entire Marvel roster if he could teleport.
Wait, how the fuck is Ghost rider letting this happen?
Just bring a mirror when he uses his penance stare.
That wouldn't work.
Constantine?
Constantine is DC. Bruv
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.🎉❤😊😊😊😊
Wolverine squad wiping the x men is crazy
Jaysus what is it with darker marvel comics and really wanting spider-man to be the first death. I just feel bad now.
we shoulda got to see how he took down powerhouses like hulk thor doctor strange and doctor doom
Wolverine can be hurt, he gets hurt all the time. The man does feel pain lol
I mention the x-men fight because Nightcrawler was there and tried to teleport behind Spidey to no avail.
I have heard of Hulk tearing Wolverine in half before... but did he grow his Bottom half (with/out Adamantium?), grow his Upper half (same question) or 2 Wolverines sprout up or did he just duct tape himself back together until he healed?
He claws his way back up the mountain to get back to his legs if I remember right
@@6FStyleCo Thanks! So the last option of duct taping himself together until he healed, lmfao.
Real world logic in Comic book world, not trying to argue, just thinking out loud. As soon as he's (Wolverine) "hurt" he starts to heal... soo wouldn't both halves have started to heal (either scab over with new flesh, stumps, or growing new legs/upper half) and not be able to reconnect, unless he "cuts off" the "healed" parts and reattach? God, I need a life!
i’ve never read this comic, but i wonder where’s deadpool at? or any of the other heroes/villains w healing powers
Yes….. kills the guy that literally ripped all the adamantium out of his body. These writers 💀
I always do enjoy a good “insert name kills the marvel universe.” I’d love to get more. I think Squirrel Girl would be a fun one. She is unbeatable, after all!
If wolverine was mind controled solo. Hes a threat, but is pretty easily manageable. Just trap him in a place where he cant break out
Without the teleportation. Bro would of been stopped at hero number one.
