INGREDIENTS
16 ounces (454 g) small button mushrooms
2 Tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
4 cloves (4 cloves) garlic , chopped or crushed
1 (1 ) medium onion , minced
1/2 cup (120 ml) chicken stock or white wine
Zest from 1 medium lemon
1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) chili flakes , or taste
4 tablespoons (60 ml) butter , divided
2 tablespoons (30 ml) chopped parsley
kosher salt or sea salt , to taste
fresh cracked black pepper , to taste

I made this today and it taste really good.
The parsley hits a cooling sensation backed by the wine vinegar- was surprisingly well-balanced and complimentary together. Thank you, it was so delicious- already my favorite way to season mushrooms.

Thank you for this recipe. I made an alteration to the original. I added canned spinach at the very end of the cooking process. I was dealing with a family member who doesn’t eat spinach, so I was looking for a way to make the spinach more appealing. Tonight everyone joined the clean plate club. Thanks again!

Nice video. I like to cook the mushrooms without oil first until all the water evaporates, then add some oil and butter. Brings out the flavours more

I just made this with wine and it is delicious! I had to stop tasting until the rest of the dinner was done or there would be no mushrooms left and I want my family to taste and enjoy. It was like eating a meat dish. I had 32 oz baby portobello mushrooms and I had to cut in half. I used Sauvignon blanc and with lemon zest and juice, I couldn't stop eating! Now I have to try the recipe with broth/stock since I might not have wine on hand. Thank you for sharing your recipe!

I just made some mushrooms and then thought too late to look up a recipe but still did out of curiosity. My way of cooking them was so similar only difference was I added some soy sauce and I didn’t add the zest but will try that next time. This over jasmine rice is the way to go! Yummy

Really is great. I’ve used prepackaged garlic butter… Unhealthy aspect but delicious as all heck!

I followed it to a 'T,' and my goodness it is so rich and creamy. I added more lemon juice in the end because I like it citrusy. I could eat this all day...everyday. I am eating it right now as I type this comment. Highly recommended! Thank you white on rice couple. 🧡🧡🧡
