It's the Communist Party Vietnamese Xin chao, Vietnamese people never use it in their family, with friends or in society. If you see an old waiter/waitress and you call him/her "Em oi" as in the video you can get a slap
This is what I needed I always go to Vietnamese nail shops they do the best and take special care and attention to your nails from the bends and make it shine. I love speaking to them when getting a manicure and pedicure.
i love how much she's trying so hard to connect english words and concepts to vietnamese even though it doesn't make sense. bow new tin. she straight up gave up with "you're welcome" and tried to sweep it under the rug. it's hilarious, lol!
Vietnamese is a very nice language. I can't wait to learn and become fluent. Vietnamese is ONE of those languages that have tones associated with their words. The tones are beautiful to me. It makes Vietnamese a sweet language 💖💖💖
**Takes Notes** Xin chào Vân!. Tõi tẽn la Marvin. Cảm ơn for the lesson. I hope we get more lesson vids on the side so I can one day write a full paragraph using Việt. I want to learn the language at a college in California but it's mắc quá! Anyways, xin lỗi if this is incorrect. Tôi không hiẽu. Have a nice day!
My first visit last year (well second but that's a story for another time) i learned just three things. How to greet, how to say thanks and how to say goodbye. the amount of times local people were happy to hear just that basic attempt was surprising. I am returning in August so will make a point to commit all of these to memory.
Sangat bagus sekali arahannya, sangat bermanfaat buat pemula seperti saya, sehat selalu agar bisa terus memberikan inspirasi & berbagi ilmu kepada pemula seperti saya yng masih belajar merintis usaha & belajar jadi konten kreator meski sucreb nya masih puluhan😊, salam dari saya azis the taylor🙏
Thanks Van for this video. I am going to Vietnam for the first time in June and this was very helpful. I'll be rewatching again and again to get these phrases down. Cảm ơn 😉
Thank you Van. With gestures. I am learning Vietnamese much easier. Also good to know the differences between Northern and Southern Vietnamese accents.
Awesome video!!! Thanks for these lessons once again :) my native language is English, but I do know a bit of German and Japanese, I am able to use those two in the same sentence, for example, Kon'nichiwa Ich Bin Alex :) I am of German decent, so that's why I do want to learn more German along side Japanese and Vietnamese :)
Thanks for the entertaining and very informative content, from the clever channel name on down. I was lucky enough to visit Vietnam a few years ago on a Mekong River cruise, and I think it's a fascinating place. I'd really like to go back someday to see more, especially Hue and Hanoi. Also, if I may add--your presentation is delightful, and you are just as cute as anyone can be. Keep up the great work.
Omg I dont know annnyyy vietnamese and ive been practicing learning for an hour and my tongue hurts!!! Lol its a workout for our english speaking tongue muscles! Love it tho ❤
Ohh great video with both accents. I'm surrounded by just one and its hard to understand the other at times, depending. I need more of this type though more advanced.
Hello Vân, you are amazing. Your parents must be from Northern like we were. Our daughter ̣̣is probably your age, she speaks Vietnamese well but with Northern accent only. Looks like you can speak with Southern accent too.
I think it is great that you are teaching Vietnamese phrases and phonetics. Just wanted to point out "Tôi là người Việt Nam" simply translate to I am Vietnamese rather than I am from Vietnam. Viet kiều would not say that. For example, I was born and raised in the United States. Saying that I am from Việt Nam is not correct. Other than that, keep up with the great work. I am exciting to be visiting Việt Nam next month.
Thanks for this video, very helpful :) I am moving from Ireland to Vietnam in a month or so and planning on teaching English there for a while, so excited to go! Just wondering if you know what the jobs market is like for expats in Vietnam in professional services like finance etc.? I have a degree in Economics and Accounting
Is this southern or northern viet, I’ve heard they are different accents and even native speakers have a hard time understanding eachother. I’m looking to learn viet with a southern accent so my girls mom can understand me.
English is a sound based language, Vietnamese is a logographic based langauge. Vietnamese has only a few tones and they have only a vocabulairy fuction, while English has many more tones and you can use the tones also for emotional expressions. However, Vietnamese has a lot of vowels, many more than the Latin alfabeth has. So the Vietnamese writing isn't able to present the many sounds the Vietnamese are using. But lucky, it takes several years before you can distinguish them and even more to produce them. However, that is the problem with so many languages. Especial with English... ;)
many vlogs saying "Xin chào" is toooooo formal, and rare to be used in daily life. so when I see a girl, simply say "chào em!"
Nice!👍
Chào em anh đứng đây từ chiều😂

So would it matter if the waiter is older when trying to get their attention? For instance the look to be in their 50’s?

Which should a person learn [first]? Northern or Southern?
It depends on where you work and live :)
No need to learn more than hello and thank you, because you will never understand what people say to you anyway!
🙏🏼
Hello👋
i thought your welcome in southern is "cam on chi" and not "cam on di/yi)
Nô . Dạy kiểu nói trống không vậy bạn tiếng việt nói trống không là vô lễ
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Can you confirm if this sentence sound correct to a native speaker, 'Chao gau, khoe kohm?' I'm trying to impress someone I recently met hehe.
Bit I'm not short I'm 6 foot 5 which is 196 cm
How to ask a viet out for date :-)
problem is not teaching the tones too, I think most vietnamese won't understand a word if foreigners try this without knowing tones
i decide to give up.. too difficult
Damn... she is such a cutie. A cutie that teaches darn well too. 😍

Lmao wait I commented before I watched the video, this is awesome can’t wait to keep going!
I was taught English with phonics, is that why it seems hard to learn the Vietnamese language?
English is a sound based language, Vietnamese is a logographic based langauge. Saigon is South accent?
It' s confusing for me when they pronounce the "r", "d"and "x" like a "s". I dont get the difference among those letters.
❤❤
Are all Vietnamese girls as cute as you? 😊
😆
