Ryan I just need to let you know. I'm a recovering heroin addict. One of the things that excite me now is when I get a notification of a new song from you. It's literally kept me clean certain days consuming myself with learning a song you've posted, thanks.
You rock MIchael. Courage clearly abounds in you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your story. I wish you the very very best, dear friend, thank you for being here!
I have been addicted too. Thanks for sharing about that. Giving up the drugs has been the hardest but the best thing I have ever done. Keep going! I'll say a prayer for you.
Good to have you back Ryan. Love this one, definitely one of my favourite Incubus tracks. I shall enjoy strumming along. Could I ask you to add “Dig”’ to the Incubus list please?
Hey dude. Big props and love from Ireland 🇮🇪. This is a beautiful track. Incubus up to (and including) "A Crow Left of the Murder" were a brilliant band 😄
Hey Ryan! I was wondering where you were because I was too busy to check...Christmas, New Years, yadda yadda yadda. I'm glad ur not sick. Love this song! Thanks for doing it.
It was neat to say your name again mud - it had been a while! Thank you for your concern, it was a combo of holiday and everyone and their mother getting together and deciding they needed to take video chat lessons with me. Fun busy time.
Hi Ryan, just letting you know I got my first ukulele this morning so feel free to upload any uke requests you find (any from Eddie's "ukulele songs" album is great btw). PS: You're my #1 learning source for music. Keep it up
Great tutorial Ryan but I can't help but urge people to strum the E then the A string on that first cord. As a beginner I tried it and noticed it sounded more like the original! But I love your style and you seem like a gnarly dude, definitely will be watching more of your vidoes!
This is one of my favorite incubus songs. I learned it a few years ago from watching the live performance. This is one of those songs that I find difficult to to sing along with. I played the hell out of it to try and make the music automatic so I wouldn't have to think about the playing part and just sing the lyrics....2 years later I still can't get through it without fudging something! Has anyone else encountered song like this? I would like to hear your stories with song titles so I can try and learn your songs and add them to my collection of pain🤨
Hey Live the videos, Any way you could do a video one both acoustic and electric parts to either Coldplay’s yellow or the scientist. Thanks for the channel man!
Hey Ryan I was hoping you could do an acoustic version of ghost in you by the furs . Robyn Hitchcock did a version ,but not a version for one guitar . There is another cover a finger pickin version thats pretty damn good . Your probably one of a few that could do this . So Please
Ryan, I have a suggestion for your videos.. it would be SO helpful if you would play at full tempo the song you are about to give a lesson on before you start the lesson. This demonstrates that you’re playing it correctly and encourages watchers to stick around plus it obviously helps fast players quickly learn.. I can pick this up in the first few strums if you play it for me :) I’m a long time subscriber hope this helps you!
Those are beautiful chords. If you like to check out different artists check out Shawn James. Hes got several albums out and does some interesting covers. Do check out Days of the New as well. I know you'll like them. 👍
I cant believe you didnt play through it a few times (more than two) so I could play with it as a whole........which is the most disappointing thing about you tube guitar lessons anyway.....

You make the difficult songs accessible to intermediate back porch guys like me . Excellent lesson Sir.
thank you sir.

Same for me too! It's that off time strumming that gets me jumbled!
Come as you are for some reason :/
yep, it's the poetic rhythm of the vocals against the syncopated chord changes. definitely difficult.
hey Ryan! can u pls do also FAMILIAR -Incubus I would love to see that on ur lesson.. 🎸🙂
thank you for the suggestion Bert :)
Looking forward to learning this one! I struggle with singing the verse though as it's too low for me... Maybe you can suggest some different notes. 😂
hehe. well, there is no such thing as a wrong note, so long as you meant to do it - or at least you act like you meant to do it
Thanks man, picked up the guitar and played along☺ great song
yayj!
I've just woken up to this video..... Morning wood!

Yo ryan love that ur back I was wondering if we are gonna get some songs from Chris’s new album and maybe Eddies new EP?
I did one off each, don't worry, I'll do more - great to be back thanks BT!
Hey Live the videos,
Any way you could do a video one both acoustic and electric parts to either Coldplay’s yellow or the scientist. Thanks for the channel man!
I recall doing a whole bunch of videos about yellow - LMK if I did the elctric parts!
Love the cheat on the e minor 9 chord. Was really struggling with the stretch. 👍
yay
I'm still waiting to see if you'll do a lesson for the song "Anemone" by Brian Jonestown Massacre. I still can't find a video for that.
Nice one!
grandma's always thinking about you. and mommy is very happy to be at the wedding.
@@RyanLendt I’m relieved to hear that.

@@RyanLendt Sorry , its Bob
That second chord gives me wicked pinball wizard vibes

Does the Incubus Drive around in the Succubus or is it the other way around. I can never remember.
I've heard it both ways.
🤘

It's the first lesson of the year and we've already achieved the double diarrhea thing. Woohoo! :)
as they say... WOOHOO!!
How many Kermits?
never enough...
I'm kinda tired of Africa, the song, not the continent. Great lesson though. Good luck figuring out incubus. Hope it doesn't take too long.
shhhh I'm trying to bless the rain
Thx for sharing. If you have a minute come check out our music videos - We're an indie band and think you might dig our sound. Appreciate it.
