The easiest part of Daughter is actually playing it after you have tuned the guitar.
Man you have beautiful guitars. You teach so easy and fun I get it immediately thanks and keep it up
Thanks lorenzo! I'm in the fortunate situation that buying music gear is a tax write off hehe. I'm glad we mesh :)
@@RyanLendt Hello Im from Spain, Europa. Its a baby Taylor?? Sounds really good
u make it so easy...I listened to this for over 10+ years now u unlocked it in 5 min...thanks keep em coming
thanks SC!
Dude exactly 👆 thanks @RyanLendt!
If you tune other strings down before tuning the E up, there’s less chance of breakage.
Great lesson. Thank you!
That's actually a really good tip Mikael, thank you from all of us!
Less chance of breaking the neck if that’s what you’re worried about. But the string is the same tension regardless.
Mikael Lewis why
@@ViaticalTree Breaking the neck? Lmao! You have NO clue how guitars are built.
@@kommi1974 maybe hes using a stick as a truss rod
the first 2 minutes alone (detuning) is awesome already, grinning wide as I did. Cheers, Ryan!
hehe yay :)
Thank you so much for this! Someone’s who’s never really used power chords much before, having you explain this and which tab to put my fingers on, really helps! Much appreciated.
you're very welcome Nicholas, thanks for kicking it with us!

Your humorous, your excited about the songs your playing, its so fun to watch and learn at the same thank you!
Great personality + Simple instruction = Great Teacher! 🙏🏽💯👍🏽
why thank you MM :)
Sitting here with my capo, and I've got the tuning sorted. This is a good song to learn! Really teaches you how to utilise strumming as a way to accent certain sounds. This'll take me a while to get all sorted but I'm glad I found my capo!
ah ha you did the capo 3 so you don't break a string trick I presume? just don't let the internet know you did such a thing, they'll hate on you endlessly ;)
you enlightened me i had to change the tuning because the tab really didn’t make sense otherwise 😱 and you quickly delivered the whole song i was expected to have ready tonight with my band! thanks man!!!
what luck :) good luck with your band!
You are the best teacher I’ve see on RUclips. Thanks!!
and you're a very nice man. Thanks for the shout William!

you're very very very welcome plus one of whatever you say!
My favorite pearl jam song. Tuning E to G is a heart pounding moment.~whew. Thanks for the fun, quirky and easy tutorial. +1 sub.
welcome to the party Kub! yes every time I do that I clench
Busted 2 E's so far....both were elixirs......maybe my tuner needs calibration......
"heart pounding" LMAO 😁👍
And purists laughed at we Peavey AT-200 owners 😁
Amazing thanks!!!
thanks Pomy :)
Just wanna say that I love your videos. I used a lot of them to learn all the pearl jam songs I know. Blood uses the same tuning as daughter by the way.
hello and thank you redycube! that makes total sense, since the low note of the riff is G - I'll be looking forward to looking into blood
Just subscribed bro. Love the vids
welcome to the party Basson thanks!
Thanks man i've tried learning this through tabs and listening to the song but couldn't get it down.
Also watched some other lessons on RUclips but they were not so good imo (and were wrong about the open string parts hitting them differently in some bars like you showed), this was great.
Such a fun tune when you get it down!
thanks for taking the time RC - cheers!
You're the best your simple and you get to the point
thanks for hanging out Rem :)
Well that explains why I could never just figure out what cord that was it's a whole different tuning. Me stupid
i had the exact moment you're describing P :)
You can do a standard version, i seen and was in a band that mixed this with “livin on a Prayer. Great alternative mix but if you wanna really play Pearl Jam.... just do it right.!
“Daughter” Guitar tuning justifies why stone didnt play it in standard tuning, it sounds amazing just strumming it without touching a Fret!
@@AusPearlJammer what chords did you use to make it standard?
Brilliance!
Thanks Pete!
Im form Brazil and that was the best video lesson. Thanks
greetings and thank you Everton :)
Just discovering you, Ryan. Really good online lesson and I like your style. Will seek out more of your stuff.
welcome to the party Mike!

Thanks Raz :)
Oh it's awesome
Thanks Aryan :)
best teacher i learn so much with out having to smell him
you're missing out :P
Great lesson of a quality track, and great sense of humour... love it! It all sounded so much more difficult!
that's the case with a lot of PJ! and then there's some that seem easy and turn out to be very difficult. such is life :)
Ryan always cracks me up 😆
:)
Ryan we fuckin love you man!! One love from the infamous Pizzeria in Buenos Aires
Thanks Tommy!! you mean by U2??
Thank you dude. Seriously I appreciate it.

Yep, looks like how Stone is doing it pretty much. Thanks for that!
You bet!
Hell yeah! Spinning In Daffodils by Them Crooked Vultures uses a similar tuning! Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t heard it
sweet
Thanks for the tutorial. It is very helpful and easy to learn the way you teach it.
Your funny too. Lol.
why thank you :) and you're very welcome Mario! we are so polite...
That is such a cool song. I love to watch Stone play this. I think I might have requested this one, or I was just thinking about it, but I hesitated because it looked too hard. :)
but NOW you know the truth :)
Huh sounds just like it!!
I'm subscribing and hitting the bell
cheers to you CC - thanks for hanging out!
