30 Min Full Body Pilates With Light Weights

- Welcome to this 30 Min Full Body Pilates With Light Weights workout! You will enjoy the benefits of extra challenge, variety and bring these exercises to a new level.
Light weights are effective here - I am using 1.5kg for each hand which is light, but still feel the difference because we are holding them for most of the exercises.
You could also use a couple of cans of food if needed, or do the routine with no weights at all, do what is best for you today!
You Need:
Mat
2 x light weights
TIPS - keep your core active especially when moving the weights overhead as this is where your ribs will want to pop up. Keep your strong connection of belly to spine and lengthen your legs and arms each movement.

Thank you, I really liked the workout, however, the music is quite annoying, especially in the beginning and in the last 5 minutes it's much too loud. One can hardly follow your instructions.

This one was...interesting! Some moves I've never tried before, and with light weights the added resistance was good! I used 2lb dumbbells, because I've found if I go a little lighter than what you use, it's just challenging enough for me! Thank you Vanessa! I know that I'm taking longer than the 14 days you prescribed for me, but I'm doing my best! Yesterday I walked almost 2 hours and did 60 min of Zumba and just got too tired afterwards to do anything more! But I'm plugging along and will circle back to day one when I'm done with day 14! 😁👍❤❤💪💪

Didn’t get this right today - 3kg weights were too heavy and I’ve put away my 2kg weights - on top of that had just eaten a big sugary treat for afternoon tea - which I completely regret as its so unusual and when I do it makes me feel so unwell - DNF - try again tomorrow😢
No problem Arlene, you know what feels good with your body and what does not, we all do it, no stress :) I feel awful after a massive sugar hit but I still do it sometimes haha. Yes, the 3kg would be a bit much for Pilates with weights, but not regular weights. They are used in such a different way, that is why. The lever arms are further from the body making it harder aswell. More open movements. 💪All good though! Keep it up ok, onwards and upwards :)
Great workout - I liked the pace with the weights - hard but doable - I’ve got 2kg weights though - so a little bit heavy on some of the exercises - great way to get back into the swing of things after yet another cold/long COVID affected week

Loved the change of using weights. Some things were easy and a couple thing were harder than they looked. The bicycles with the weights burned quite a bit.

Looking back at my old comments - still love this one - love the roll ups with weights - huge sense of achievement - and now 2kgs feels very doable throughout - pointer with weights was a bit tough but everything was really good - very hot and sweaty now!

It's not easy using hand weights for these moves, although beneficial for a little assistance for those rollups. This helps the body build that feeling and strength needed for them 🙌💯 Sweaty today? Thanks Vanessa, really enjoyed this workout. I have done your workout with weights for beginners 3 times now, and it prompted me to buy a lighter set of weights so I can do the lates with weights class. It was a bit challenging but that is what keeps it interesting, another

It does depend what we do in terms of the style like Pilates which is higher reps, lighter weight, or actual weights for strength, where you want that challenge. I chose this one for length today and because I wanted a decent ab burn. I think the abs sections felt slightly easier this time than last. Also, I really like the pace of the music on this one.

First time doing Pilates with you and won't be the last. I love your accent. My clothes didn't reflect the amount of sweat I felt and I forgot to switch sides on a overhead on tummy that I had to use bodyweight so I will be lopsided. Going to search for you on Facebook.

@@Vanessabhealthtv my goals are to be more mobile and lose weight. I love Pilates because it is barefoot and I am not comfortable wearing the custom made arch supports after working at my last job for 5 months and dropping a tray on my already flat feet at 65 years old.

I love this one - I find it very meditative - and the weights add a whole new dimension to it - used 2kgs - and managed the side planks - haha

Update 2 days after doing this workout: wow.! I'm feeling this one more than any of the others so far. Muscles are sore throughout my entire core, front and back (nit just the usual ab soreness). Also triceps, hamstrings glutes, biceps, upper back .. This one is a KILLER that creeps up on you gradually.. 😳🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
