I had both the Sigma and the Lumix, the Lumix has so much better micro-contrast ! Also nicer colors and bokeh (in my opinion). This 24-70mm S Pro is just fantastic, it''s a lens for people who like punchy and 3D like rendering.
Great video and camera presence!
great vid! you reckon you could hand held video vlog with this lens?
can you post most sample pics and videos taken on the lumix s5 2 x with the panasonic s pro 24 70 f2.8
Awesome stuff bro im selling an fx3 and swapping to a s5iix for social work mainly as i also have a c70 was wondering if you have a experienced much trouble with the moiré problem people have talked about? Love the content bro!
Thank you! The moiré issue has been very minimal for me especially with video
I was considering Nikon or Panasonic full frame system with F2.8 24-70 & 70-200 lens. Although Nikon counterparts are lighter, slightly cheaper (at least in my country), the Zoom ring on 24-70F2.8 lens is much "sticky" than the Panasonic's. What I like about Panasonic 24-70 are the colors, zoom barrel doesn't sticks out too much, it feels like a tank, solid metal. I paired it with S5 II and have no problem with them.
Great video brother. Question for ya: Im in Sacramento, and Im curious if you offer classes for photography and/or video production?
I currently own a Leica Q2, M10 R, Panasonic S5 iix. and this lense your video is on. Looking to grow my skills. Appreciate what you do.
Hey, glad the video helped and glad to hear you're looking to keep growing! So I do have a photography mini course that's live on our website. You can get to it on this link: cached-out.com/how-to-start-photography/
Hey bro, stop doing that . . . we need this lens begin to turn down prices, hahaha. Good video, we apreciate your point of views, very fair, I am coming from canon too and I feel better now not only because the prices are better, also the image and the video are amazing. Canon still doing well but this is a diferent feeling, and I note Leica presence in their glass, I have the 70-200mm f2.8 with the tele 2x and is even better than this. The best lens I have ever had. Regards
Great video, thank you :)
My man, you must be very strong carrying the weight of the S5IIX body plus the 24 to 70 lens at the same time. Next up share your training schedule as well. 💪
Haha 😂 it definitely catches up to you after a while. Especially with a rig setup
Surpringly you get use to it...
Wow, your video looks very good, what profile and with what quality do you record?
it's probably the VLOG profile
For anyone wondering this is much better than the Sigma. The Sigma is 2nd place but I wouldn't even consider it a close second.
It’s a chunky boi. I wish I would have got the sigma instead :(. Sigma flares better, better colors, and it’s macro (unspoken)
yeh i am debating the same thing. main concerns w the sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 is, i heard the colors have a green tint, and most distressingly, the lens was a dust magnet.
of course all lenses, espec zooms, will get some dust in them over time, but saw more than a handful of negative reviews saying there was a signif dust issue (dust getting inside the lens bcoz improper seals).
makes me queasy a bit, but def like the signf cheaper price and lightweight/smaller form factor of the sigma
(heard sigma "fixed" the dust issue past a certain serial number, but some users on reddit say the dust getting in is still an issue on the more recent serial numbers)
How do you feel about your switch from Canon to LUMIX? I’m considering going from my R6 to the S5iix for all hybrid photo/video shooting needs. I’m concerned about the AF performance as compared with/ Canon, especially on the photo side. Have you had any such issues? Anything you think I’d regret if making that jump?
i just moved from Nikon z6ii and zf with many prime lens to panasonic and leica sl.. my world changed after use nikon 11y big impressive on L mount 😊
$1300 ? Where
I got it for $1,100, boy am I lucky :)
