yea I purchased the Uncle Seiko half link for mine. The half link helps a lot. Now that I have gotten used to the bracelet I moved a few links around and I don’t even need the half link for a good fit. I use the t fit clasp everyday sometimes multiple times a day I love it. Try purchasing two uncle seiko half links and play with the link arrangement you might find a good fit that way.
Same here. I've got a 6.5 inch wrist and the Uncle Seiko half link perfected the fit for me. It's actually the same as the half link they sell for the BB58. Tudor is missing a trick not selling these themselves 👍🏼
You make a great point: when you spend a lot of money for a watch, you want it to fit perfectly. I think that speaks to what you always say: buy what you love. No matter how much you spend, how “hot” the watch is, if the fit is off, it will potentially sit unworn and unloved.
By the way, for those who wear a watch to bed I recommend the Ball Watch Fireman Enterprise. $990 at Gnomon, these watches have tritium (gas filled tubes) hour markers that do not need to be charged to see clearly in the dark. I understand that these tubes have a lifespan of about 25 years. I put mine on a custom leather strap and an OEM Ball deployment clasp. Comfortable and completely visible all night.
Having experience with that technology you now use a Timex when sleeping? That lume is OK for a few hours but you must have good vision to read the dial after a couple of hours...
This was my biggest concern before buying the BB54. I have a 6.3 inch wrist and ended up removing 4 links with the T-fit adjusted to the tightest position. It wears perfectly with 8 cm room for on the fly adjustment. Math seems to be off though if you have a 6.5 inch wrist. It could very well be the shape of the wrist or T-fit moves when you open the clasp. Heard it unlocks when opened from the back end of the clasp as how I used to do with my BB58. Else, half link is the way to go. Nice info though for people looking to buy the BB54!
Great video as usual Tony. After careful consideration I think the solution to the 6 1/2” wrist is to go on a diet of Pizza, Pie and lots of beer. Also this diet requires zero exercise. In a couple months the wrist will balloon up nicely.🤣 Take Care
I have two half links for my BB54 and got the perfect T-Fit. Two half links together are 13mm and 3mm longer than one whole link. That did the trick for me.
Jeepers Tony,I am so lucky with my BB54 fit. The sales lady at my AD had the patience of a saint. She was back and forth setting it perfect,so much so I have yet to use adjustment 😊😊😊
I put an Uncle Seiko half link on my Tudor and it was perfect after that with, four and half links on the six o'clock portion of the bracelet. I also have a six and half inch wrist. I think Rolex and Tudor really should offer half links for all their models and it really puts me off.
I hear ya man. I'm the same way. Tool less micros are nice but if you don't get enough adjustments, their moot. I prefer a 6 way hole design in the clasp. I've found that usually works with all bracelets. Like you, my wrist expands and contracts all day. Just bought a San Martin on a oyster. Love the watch but I have the exact same problem so I have to wear it loose.
Thanks a lot- great content. That is what drives me mad about bracelets. Most of them are not really individually adjustable. That is the challenge with bracelets from GP, Cartier, IWC, AP etc. The best solution is the micro adjustment and micro regulation on the Rolex bracelets. IMHO
That’s too bad I have a 6.25 inch wrist and it just works for me adjusted all the way forward but any looser and it wouldn’t have worked well. Luckily when my wrist swells I have a lot of room to loosen
The size is part of the character of the watch, i guess its a matter of personal taste. For me, around that size is what i look for. Yeah, perhaps a small issue with the bracelet, appreciate the honest view on it...more refreshing than reviews that just go on about how great the watch is...
I might have a solution for you Tony. Uncle Seiko makes lots of aftermarket links that are of excellent quality. They may offer a 1/2 link for this very popular model. If they don’t offer it now it is almost certain that they will offer it within a couple of months. That will solve your problem 👍
I had the exact problem with a different Tudor. I have an older Black Bay 36 that I could not get to fit comfortably no matter what I did. Then I heard about Uncle Seiko and their aftermarket links and other accessories. They make lots of 1/2 links for Tudors. I got and installed a 1/2 link- it 100% solved the problem. And the quality is not distinguishable from OEM products.
hey tony great video braj. i have a question what do you think of the mr-g "high end " g shock .? would one have to be crazy to spend 3gs on a G shock? i recently became aware of them and i find them incredibly intriguing.
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony i fought with my BB58’s bracelet for a year to make it fit. Ended up giving up on it and got an uncle straps jubilee, it fit’s awesome 😎
In summer time all metal bracelet are sticky and will give impression that you don't adjust correct, even a jubilee bracelet will give you some "hard time" but your wrist will get used with the bracelet in time. Try to put a cheap silicon bracelet(this is what i do in summer ) .
Wrist curls Tony! I tried on the 54 a couple weeks ago. It seemed too small after wearing my Batman daily. However today I tried on the Santos Dumont XL wow it looks great on (side profile in mirror) could be my next one
Hey Tony! Enjoy all your content. Between your 54 and zenith pilot, which do you prefer. I’m juggling between these two pieces. Does your 54 still get a lot of wrist time? Cheers man!
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony Sorry to hear that. I have had that problem with Tudor myself. I wanted to love the Tudor THC Blue but could not get it to fit right. Couldn’t believe they couldn’t put a half link in a $4200 watch! I ask because I’m wary of Tudor for that reason. And I like the 54. Maybe it would work on my 6.75 inch wrist. Looks good on you tho! Cheers.
Its shockingly small/thin and light when you first hold it. I think a lot of people that went on and on about wanting a smaller Tudor passed on it. The link thing is odd. The BB54 would need links out, yet a BB41 fits out of the box!
The difference in lug to lug and link lenght between the '54 and 41 Heritage in relation to your particular wrist just happens to work better in your case.
@@notDonaldFagen I do not get how that's a thing. A bigger watch is for bigger wrists, so logically I should need to buy an extra link for a smaller watch, not a bigger one I would have expected. @@wristopia4101 lug to lug is 46mm vs 50.1mm. So yes, that will have effect on how the bracelet is adjust for the same wrist. The cases take a up a different amount of circumference of your wrist. The length of the links is the same. So lug to lug will impact how many links and which micro adjust setting is used.
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony I think I get it. I had the same problem with the Glycine Combat Sub 36 butterfly clasp. No microadjustments so either too tight or too loose. Solution was putting it on a strap.
