    I have had a strong feeling that the BB54 is going to join my stable sometime in the future. Somehow that feeling gets stronger everyday. This might be the perfect daily wear tandem for my BB Pro. Btw, like you, I also track the accuracy of the watches I wear and the Pro has been giving me a solid 0.2-0.5 seconds average. These Tudor/Kenissi movements are great.

      Yeah a BB54 BB Pro duo is a good one for sure they cover all the bases btwn themselves! Nice to hear more folks keep track of daily accuracy lol! But yeah my BB Pro was running about 1 second fast a day and I've never had any bad experiences with Tudor/kenissi movements so I'm all for them

    I love the comparison to the comfortable shoes, a phrase I've used before describing my Pelagos LHD. I've yet to see or try the BB54 but following your review I think it might have a similar sunburst dial of the Pelagos 39, very subtle and looks black most of the time. Manufacturers playing games with bracelets is nothing new, making small changes to stop us changing them is annoying but they want to increase revenue to persuade us to make another watch purchase. A shame as they could increase some revenue on after market sales. It's always great to hear your thoughts and many thanks for sharing.

    I gonna be the ass here: crown diggin problems are only there, because people started to wear watches a tad on the loose side. Usually watches have been worn behind the wrist bone to be hidden under a cuff and only peak out when you want to read the time. wrist watches came after pocked watched and that's why it was used like this to not show others status with a watch. It just wasn't "gentleman-like".

      Omega lume is brighter but I would say with the bb54 lume, it’s got staying power. It doesn’t glow bright and make you go wow like a Seiko but I could read my bb54 in the dark after 5 hours recently. But when I’m in light I never see it glow.
      With a Seiko and some omegas you can walk in the shade and see it glowing. You don’t get that with the Tudor but I would also say in fairness you don’t need that 😂

    A woman who does reviews hereon YT put the 54's bracelet on the 58 by using the 58's female endlinks. That's the only viable, realistic way of doing it. Hopefully Tudor will offer clasps sold separately for the 58s, because while my 54 is my most beloved watch in existence, I want the 58 navy blue. Like others, I don't see them doing this.

    • @thewatchidiot
      @thewatchidiot  Год назад +2

      Nice to hear that it's been confirmed, I always check midlink widths bc some great combos have come up bc of it. But you can check with your AD to see if they'll sell you the clasp alone bc the clasp for the rubber strap can be ordered separately but then it'll run into its own non compatibility issues.
      @Rodolfoguerra12 is absolutely right the Ranger bracelet and endlinks work perfectly on the BB58 so maybe it's more worth it for a different style of bracelet!

    The Tudor T-Fit "trickery" is not a problem. Bracelets should stay with their original watches. What is a problem is that it's 2023 and almost 2024, and Tudor still don't have T-Fit as standard across their entire Black Bay steel sports line-up. Of special note is the BB58 and BB GMT. What's a much greater problem is that the T-Fit only provides 9mm of OTF adjustment - not even a full cm, and yet still to this day do not include a pair of half-links. Rolex submariner does not need half-links to get a good fit because the glidelock on oyster bracelet provides I believe 10 slots so 9 gaps of 2mm each so 18mm of adjustment - double that of the shorter T-Fit clasp. An oyster link is almost 11mm long, so 9mm of adjustment doesn't cut it, but 18mm does. Half-links are still handy on a Rolex Submariner just for clasp centering, but not for length.
    Since T-Fit covers only about 90% of the length of one link, it means that (given even distribution of wrist sizes), 10% of people will still not be able to get the correct fit without half-links. If you think "whatever dude - I have T-Fit and it fits me fine" then congratulations about being in the 90%, but you're not everyone, and if you have 1,3 or 5 links removed, you would still benefit from half-links, as taking out 2 half-links is more centering for the clasp than taking out one odd link on one side of the clasp.
    Uncle Straps make half-links for the more popular Tudor Black Bay pieces, but they shouldn't have to. They should come as standard. Shame on you Tudor.

    • @JanIbrahim
      @JanIbrahim Год назад

      Thanks for going into detail about this. This was my issue with the BB58 and I could never enjoy it on the bracelet because I couldn't get a good fit.
      I thought the t fit on the BB54 would solve this but alas, it doesn't. However, adding one uncle Seiko half link has improved things, and I'm going to get a second one. Hopefully that fixes things.
      You're right though - it's ridiculous. All the effort they put into the tiniest details and yet the damn thing doesn't WEAR right.

    I fit 2023 BB41 oyster bracelet into my bb58. No modification is required. Only need the original BB58 endlinks 😊 Need to note that the first link after endlink is almost 20mm width which is bit wider than the 58 bracelet. Not really noticeable and I found it super comfortable

    The 58 was a bit small for me as it was, do feel the 54 got a lot of hype when the new 41 was the star of the show. Don't see buying a Tudor anytime soon, to many QC issies with them and had them persnally. If they sort it out and bring their fit and finish leave up to Omegas I might buy the right model with non vintage lume (like the GMT, Blue 58 and Pelagos). • @thewatchidiot
      @thewatchidiot  Год назад +2

      Much of the essence of the BB is down to the simplicity of the case, the aluminum bezel, and the overall refinement and feeling of solidity of each element.
      An enamel dial and sapphire bezel would technically be better but the watch would no longer feel like a BB. (Although I wouldn't mind drilled lugs lol!)
