Hey so this is a spine lock not those Full crank hub which are like 2k... Im currently looking into getting an m4 but this crankhub is the only thing stopping me... How has it been holding up for you?
This has held up great I’ve had 0 issues regarding the hub after being tuned and before and I don’t think anyone with this hun has reported issues
I highly recommend @mpire_performance (ig) if you’re nearby Great price and work
Just got a 2020 M2C and had I known these require the crank hub fix I wouldn't have bought the car. Ridiculous BMW released the car with the major engineering flaw
I def think it’s worth the fix for peace of mind, if your car is stick I recommend it in case of money shifting and if you plan on tuning the car def get the hub if you’re more reserved with the car just here and there hard or spirited driving you might be able to get away with it
@@NLG001 No at this point I am all in, catless downpipe, AA equal length mid pipes, drop in filters, charge pipes, all purchased already, just sucks now I find out this crank hub fix and worrying about sploding my motor. So waiting until I find a decent shop and doing it all at once with the crank hub fix, can't place money on peace of mind! Also finding out the S58 fixes the design flaw also stings, could have should have waited....
Hows this holding up?
Good just don’t use the crank capture bolts supplied by Vargas use a torx head bolt. I also don’t have the car anymore but it was fine when I sold it. Porsche content coming soon
what was the full cost plus install? i see these are cheapest on the market, and how has it held up?

Haven’t spun, and I had a one-off issue dm me on ig and I’ll tell you about it

Just curious...what was the cost on labor to install the VTT crankhub kit?
At this shop it was 2500 part and labor and the Vargas hub goes for around 7XX but if you need a drilled crank it could be more

Terrance Collins yup used the Vargas crank hub solution and the shop charges around 1800 for the labor. he’s a smaller and has done about 20 hubs himself with no issues after
@@NLG001 I’m planning on getting an F80 soon so maybe I’ll go to him to do it on my future car but I see this is something a lot of F8x owners worry about and I’m trying to be FBO like soon after I get the car lol
