Yes, restating another person's position so clearly, vividly, and fairly that your counterpart says, "Thanks, I wish I’d thought of putting it that way" can be exhausting and I think it was worth it (this is Rappaport's rule #1). I was convinced to try this after reading (listening to actually) How To Have Impossible Conversations by Peter Boghossian and Never Split The Difference. I have long wondered what you would think of using political discussions/arguments/screaming matches on social media as a way to practice negotiation. Thanks, now I have my answer and it was what I hoped and suspected.
It seems to me that the biggest opportunities in human interactions that I miss are when I treat an exchange like a thinking problem when I should treat it like a feeling problem.
Would you be opposed to commenting the following advice? In Bohgossian's book How To Have Impossible Conversations he advises one to avoid the word "but" and use "and" instead, e.g. "you've made a good but you should also consider this factor" should be "you've made a good and you should also consider this factor".

When the product or service is talk then your skills can be laser focused. When your responsibilities are way beyond and above just mere talking then an extremely sharp and dedicated mindset is needed to achieve your goals. Somewhat akin to multitasking. If it's one task your focused on then you'll be the best

Even though I’m not a realtor, the bit with the realtor agent was very eye opening, great advice for everyone in business.

The tactic is Tactical Empathy. And this video is basically a masterclass YT compilation of any previous mention of the technic. Pass on this video at your own potential loss, as I've learned several new eye opening technics on how to implement it.
