There was a law passed a few years ago that companies are supposed to pay us for our time in sleeper birth cause we are on the job and not at home. Well the government is not enforcing it most likely cause the trucking companies must have paid off government not to enforce it. I'm guessing on the enforcing but I wouldn't be surprised.

This is turning into a whole saga
Happend to me with two different companies in Chicago. The first one had us working knowing they filed for bankruptcy. I was at a truck stop and a guy came up to me saying he's about to take the truck because the company was skipping payments. like a month later the company gave us an ultimatum of signing a lease with a different company or be laid off. The left me stranded and kept my last check of 1800 dollars. The second Chicago company was Asap Trans corp was a great company until they got a new owner. after a few months the truck drive tire blew out and damaged the side fender so I was told to take it to the shop, they put me in a hotel and the next day the owner fired me. He said if I needed a way home it would come out of my last check. When I got my last check I saw that they charged me for that hotel night, and also took 375 dollars from my check stating that was the cost to clean the inside of the truck. They also didnt give me my 2k escrow back. Chicago companies are cut throat !!

Same thing happened to me. I sued the trucking company. Settled in 2021. Happened in 2020. Workers Compensation lawsuit. Personal lawsuit.
I received over $100,000.
Get a lawyer bro. SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME. Blood clot was already in my lungs. Doctor said 3-5 more days I would have died. When I told my CORPORATE FREIGHT MANAGER…..(you can figure out the company. Rhymes with Spift) he said you’re not fired but you can’t come back to work.
Was in 5 different hospitals. About 25 total days bro. Lawyer loaned me 5 racks to hold me over until I got on my feet.

The first minutes is EVERYTHING I always be talking about, but these guys continue to join these companies where the people who. run it are in another continent. As for the threats, i can see the bogus bs. Trinity Logistics did that with me over a shipper. The shipper tried to 411 me. Someone said no. Next thing I know moths later I'm being told i was banned from booking with them. Then someone read all of these bogus threats out that I never did. I said run the film if it true. They didn't want to. Im like come on. Use common sense

sounds like he should sue them for defamation sounds like a good win for a lawyer because anyone who says they gonna shoot up a company we all know police would get called fact that didn't happen and wasn't put in jail in itself because what that accused him of is a serious problem and should be dealt with me personally I would sue but I am good friends with a great lawyer. I wish the trucker luck and I wish the company to go under we need less companies like them around to scam people.

There are lawyers who do that just gotta ask around there are organizations who all they do is pro bonno the real issue is what can be proven because if you don't have case with evidence and no possible way to winning no lawyer will take the case.

I got a job with 2 foreigners , 1 had extremely unsafe truck wanted to pay $16.00 an hour, 2 wanted only to pay $15.00 an hour told by my trainer to beware. Both companies trucks were were junk yard specials.. Desparate for a job, will not drive for those people. CDL driver $16.00 an hour, slap in face, punch in gut and kneed in the balls. Not american own, not driving. They don't care for us.

I did the same route for a bit because of the economy and the VERY 1ST TIME the company FKed around, they found out. Thing about being productive is that you must be willing to do what is necessary to achieve greatness. This involves doing some bad stuff. Rich don't get rich without sh!tting on others.
if you are trucking, always have enough money to get home, put it in a separate account and don't touch it. When you quit or get fired they will strand you no matter the company, and if it's a bad enough company they'll take your last check or delay it up to 3 months (90 days) I've dealt with that, left in cali with no money and no ride after weeks of not being paid and had to hitch all the way home, learned my lesson
go to the rules and regalations there are things that a driver can do example if your owed money you can put a lein on the equipment until your paid in full or sue them for breach of contract.

I wonder how long has he been driving 11 hours per day before having that health issue. I spent about 8 months driving my full clock before my sleep became painful. I stopped driving the whole clock and restricted my work hours. Drivers often chase the money and let their health go. Trucking is an unhealthy lifestyle if you’re not disciplined enough to exercise regularly.

This happened to me in Chicago. I had to pay my way back plus an Uber. The Chicago jobs are scamming truckers with their Pay when you get there Oh we paying this because freight is bad, 250 escrow pay from ur check plus 150$ if you are pulled over by a dot and get a warning 150 for speeding 150$ eld restrictions, and so on you get their 65cents mile but they giving short miles but want to stay out 3 weeks
They should sent him to do drug test,if they know his drunk. BS .

Idk , Ive been with liv for a year , yeah the first few weeks were rough but I haven't had any issues. I do my job running and I get paid on time every single week , when I have issues they help resolve them . The guy David he is talking about is the only person there I had issues with .also ..... Sounds like he did a good enough job that his fleet manager hired him for his next carrier. That tells me he did his job. As far as "blaze of glory" - years ago, I had a conversation with a CR England lease operator. Those of you who have watched White Line Fever will understand this. He got into it face to face with his "driver manager" in the office. It got very heated over the little amount of miles he was being offered. He blurted out "Don't make me go Glass House on this place!" His terminal manager heard that and came running out of his office to diffuse the situation. Over almost 40 years, I've had my share of blowing up at dispatch. It will happen. It's trucking. When it gets to be too much...... you go somewhere else. It took a lot of jobs to find the company I'm at now. 13 years now. Not going anywhere else. Even worked for myself. I was the worst boss ever!
