At that 5 min mark, when we all knew it was time to turn it up, they gave it to the violinist and let him ride softly in on it. Sweet sweet sweet.
Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face
And stars fill my dream
I'm a traveler of both time and space
To be where I have been
To sit with elders of the gentle race
This world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait
All will be revealed
Talk in song from tongues of lilting grace
Sounds caress my ear
And not a word I heard could I relate
The story was quite clear
Oh, baby, I been blind
Oh, yeah, mama, there ain't no denyin'
Oh, ooh yes, I been blind
Mama, mama, ain't no denyin', no denyin'
All I see turns to brown
As the sun burns the ground
And my eyes fill with sand
As I scan this wasted land
Try to find, try to find the way I feel
Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace
Like sorts inside a dream
Leave the path that led me to that place
Yellow desert stream
My shangri la beneath the summer moon
I will return again
As the dust that floats high in June
We're moving through Kashmir
Oh, father of the four winds fill my sails
Cross the sea of years
With no provision but an open face
Along the straits of fear
Oh, when I want, when I'm on my way, yeah
And my feet wear my fickle way to stay
Ooh, yeah yeah, oh, yeah yeah,
But I'm down oh, yeah yeah, oh, yeah
Yeah, but I'm down, so down
Ooh, my baby, oh, my baby
Let me take you there
Come on, oh let me take you there
Let me take you there
I'm always so thankful to someone who posts lyrics..

A masterpiece of a composition.. Great performance. Transcending barriiers.of the need for spiritual expression. Superb drummer yes indeed.
Just blown AWAY with this version. Such depth and what a beautiful twist on THE classic. In LoVE!
The greatest rock song ever composed, written, and sung, with that orchestra, was simply magnificent. Oh, how I wish I had been there.
Egyptians rock!
They prefer stoning!
@@ibdaffy what an awful reply.
@@chicharoni2822 Sorry to hurt your feelings, most Egyptians are Muslims and yes, stoning is common even now.
@@ibdaffy wtf the asshole?

We don't stone people we're not savage like you
Saw 3 concerts with the orchestra and Egyptian Pharaohs ( plant callled them) really remarkable how it blended perfectly with plant and page especially Kashmir the violinists really delivered the standouts of the show besides plant page
Drums are so important in this piece.Throws the time into another dimension.
My favorite versian its like.
Total Perfection.
Auditory Ambrosia
Mana To the ears.
Never get tired of Robert and Jimmy!
This is so fricken cool, I’m melting. I remember this tour and I had no expectations and they blew me away. All the songs I grew up with but with a worldly flare. Orchestras , instruments from all around the world and just refined like a bottle of wine aging gracefully. Still in my top 10 concerts of all time.
It’s beautiful with the Egyptian orchestra but you should check their performance at Celebration Day if you haven’t already. To me it’s the best live performed rock song ever.
A timeless band this song is still apropos even more so for today love the message❤
Incredible violin and Congo wow chills kudos to the Egyptian audience such passion
I think the audience is American. The orchestra is Egyptian.
Glastonbury (England) 1995

I was there watching this, what an honour to see these guys live and to hear Kashmir - my favourite rock song live.. the Egyptian orchestra was a magnificent addition.
I was there also. It was truly amazing!
@@afrobuddha We are very lucky to have seen Page and Plant! Nice one

They need a whole orchestra to do what JPJ did
sasinator lord of sasins nailed it
Those keyboards though.
Lol JPJ is not human
Yep
Why's jpj not here?
Это слушать можно ВЕЧНО!
I absolutely LOVE Mideastern Music having been a danser with the Delala Mur Danse Company in California the mid-70's, then to add Led Zepplin to this mix? On my way to Power House Gym NJ last night Oct 25, 2023 the radio played these songs, one had a longer version of the Egyptian music (am I wrong?). I sat in my car listening....Blow Me Away!!!! Danse, danse, danse! So Many years later how did I NOT know this collaboration took place in 1995? Heaven help us, this Musique Gives Me The Chills. I've found my inspiration to teach...God Is Good :) Peace & Love
These are one of the many things missing with Modern times, less emphasis and the arts and theater 😢 we need the arts back
Jimmy and Robert at their Late Peak here.
Saw the SoFla stop of this tour and it was Fantabulous!!!
Symphony and Backing Band truly highlighted this performance 😊
Lo mejor del rock. De todos los tiempos, es más, no es rock, es led Zeppelin ❤
unreal this. best band ever by miles.
I agree.
What beats this. Nothing, no chance
There's no such thing as a "best band ever"
Yes that would be Led Zeppelin
All The Best from England..............
Wow simply amazing. Robert Plant's voice takes me there.
Love how Planty forgets the words to his own song, and yet it still works. Great performance, and the violin solo - take a bow sir.
A sublime piece of musical excellence..
Took children to see them twice. Still highlights of their lives. Middle floor 8th row front and center!
THAT INTRO!!!!! Robert... sing from the minarets..North Africa is a majical place. This always takes me to Morocco....AMAZING..THE egyptians..sounds just like being in Egypt...GO there..the people are amazing..
Proof that Robert is truly an extremely talented singer. You have to FEEL this style in order to sing it which he absolutely does.
I was down the front for this, best gig ever!
That had to be so fucking 😉
They took this to a whole new level ! That vocal tho !! 💋
I just found this and love this version! What an incredible blend of music to make it better!
the uploader of the video is the violin 🎻 player himself عزف رائع ياوليد يا فنان وموسيقي رائع
Longest (preceding by the violin) #Drop, Ever.
It makes me realize why this is still my favorite song thanks so much for uploading it.
Not denying the feeling of "wish I was there" but imagination runs wild as they say, no need for a time machine; just put on a good pair of big cups headphones close your eyes and as the song says "Oooooh yeah I can take you there". And with that said you could also become that #TRAVELER of both time and space into the future.....
OH FATHER OF THE FOUR WINDS SPILL MY SAIL ACROSS THE SEA OF YEARS, WITH NO PROVISION BUT AN OPEN FACE ALONG THE STRAIT OF FEAR OOH OOH.
