I'm 69 now and back in the day, I've seen them 3 times...would have been 4, but Plant's son passed away right before they came to New Orleans, so I got a refund on the ticket. Should've, could've, would've kept the ticket as a souvenir, but it was just a piece of paper about a concert that didn't happen.
Yet Jimmy Page gets such a lot of criticism and the band gets a lot of hate. That kinda shows that they're right at the top imo and Page FWIW is my favorite guitarists
@@starwarsroo2448 I don't get the criticism, either. Page always had a lot of musicality, without the gratuitous ass-wanking that characterized so many hard rock and metal guitarists of the era.
@ballhawk387 nobody has ever done what they did imo, yeah they copied but everything is copying something and what they created was truly unique. Workhorses, its still baffling when you think it was only ever those 4 guys, every band has had guys come in on keyboards or whatever, nope

What an incredible film, I was lucky enough to finally see Led Zep at Knebworth 79, this film bought it all home. The 70s were an incredible time for music.
This footage is so clean and the audio is fantastic and they had a great set. I’d really like to ask the cameraman why he doesn’t want to show the band.
Their first four self-titled releases had no original material... all had blues traditionals that were either played straight or reimagined in a completely different way.
@brisngrant9380 - The performance was on the Sunday afternoon and it was my first time watching them as well. The lineups and timings of the acts went to shit due to the weather and the crowd numbers causing congestion on the roads around the Shelton Mallet show ground. Totally blown away by them and their performance and have been a fan ever since.
If only there were a way to convey how loud those speakers are and how they vibrate the music through one’s body. It’s crazy loud, but awesome to dance to it. Weren’t we the lucky ones who went to these great concerts and danced.
JL Godard had filmed it exactly like that! There are lots of excellent videos on the band, but little footage on the folks watching, listening, dancing.. great piece of art and evidence of that zeitgeist long gone, thank you RudenkoArt! Brilliant.
My 25th birthday was the day after this concert. After one of the Led Zep concerts I went to, as we were leaving the dome arena, it was as if we had just landed in a space ship and we were walking on earth for the first time.
Thank you. You just don't forget experiences like this. I have many memorable and legendary concert experiences that would blow your mind!@@bevnelson5785
@@sheenacolada1482 It was awesome. Now I'm almost as old as they are! I saw David Bowie at The Warehouse in New Orleans during his first American tour and last tour as the Ziggy and the Spiders from Mars. I was also there at the Warehouse when ZZ Top recorded one side of the Fandango album. I've seen many historical performances, too many to mention. Sadly though, most of these guys are no longer with us, but I wouldn't change a thing if I had to do it over again.
Orange sunshine it was given out at festivals in the 60's,Nicklous Sand created the drug and was very generous with it,im sure there were some people that had some terrifying trips because it was pure LSD.

Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and also read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on RUclips. 😀
Of course, it did help back then if you were blown out of your sweeney...Sat through over 3 hours of Zep about a year later looking down from the balcony of a concert hall in Coventry. The only pis* off was that I realised I didn't look as good as Percy Plant. PS: Albeit a bit threadbare now, I still have the poster version of the photo made of them in the same clothes behind the stage. Peace, man...
