Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.

Try adjusting your seat up to where your knee has about a 100° to 120° bend instead of a 90° or less. Tighten the springs on the pedal to where you get a really good recoil. Then play the pedal closer to the hinge than most people do. You might think, well that's just going to make the pedal harder to press and it'll be more tiring. Well, it will make the pedal harder to press, but the recoil of pedal will lift your leg up and reduce the effort there.
Our legs have a lot more strength in stepping down, than lifting up. Kinda like an alligators mouth, plenty of chomp down strength, but very little for opening the mouth.
Anyway, that's how I used accomplish triplets, quadruplets, and plain outright continuous rolls for long periods of time where most people would just assume I should be getting fatigued.
I suppose one could call it the Kung Fu bass drum method.
In kung fu, some moves are designed to use your opponent's energies to your advantage and to their disadvantage.
Any,way, experiment with variations of those parameters and see if you can find a sweet spot where you feel like you can do a lot more with a bass drum.

Guide to thoroughly enjoy this magnificent song!!! enjoy it!!!
0:18 Plant Concentrated about to record one of the best performances of the song
0:32 Plant looking up as receiving cosmic energy, (as if it were a medium)
    0:52 first PAGE guitar alarm!
1:11 good improvisation of boham to give rise to the second PAGE ALARM
    1:19 SECOND PAGE ALARM
1:45 Bonham !!! and all the power of the band is unleashed !!!!!
2:12 Page and Bonham in unison (exquisite detail)
2:19 JPJ raises the scale of the bass q of him so far is executed with as much perfection as we are accustomed to
2:40 Bonham !!!! MAGNIFICENT ... PLANT INTO THE SONG ... hold your hands as you accompany Bonham's hits
also observe JPJ his face as he also enjoys that part
2:58 Page indicates to Plant with his hand that it is his turn to enter the microphone ... Bonham also throws a cymbal hit from his drums
3:12 improvisation of PAGE excellent (the chemistry between Plant and Page appears)
    3:50 Bonham !!
4:03 those JPJ taps on your fussy bass !!!
4:12 what sound does Page make .... from the underworld
4:44 Robert Plant hypothesized by the sorcerer's enchantment
    5:08 Plant enjoying improvisation
5:58 Page's guitar makes her talk sound
6:22 Page seems to control Plant and does what he says
    6:42 in depth !! DARK!!
    7:10 the MADNESS begins haha
    7:26 CLIMAX OF MADNESS !!!!
7:41 JPJ enters and then Bonham !!
7:55 enters Plant with a cry of pure accumulated dark energy !! Page directs that energy with his hands to his guitar
8:00 BEGINS A SECTION OF THE HISTORY OF MUSIC THAT FORTUNA IS RECORDED IN HIGH VISUAL AND SOUND QUALITY !!!
    AN ELIXIR !!
8:00-8:22 the band with all its energy and splendor (8.17 pay attention to the head and hair of Robert) ... at the end of those minutes plant and page begin to decompress a little of that tremendous energy generated, shouting both Plant and Page ... louder screams that go to the most tall and down!
8:30 the intensity begins to rise again to explode again
8:46-9:10 EXPLOSION OF TALENT, CHEMISTRY, VIRTUOSITY (one of the best moments of the song)
9:20 observe how Page has the time measured is his foot ... fantastic the speed of the band in that improvisation
(JPJ brilliant fast and always safe !!)
9:40 part in which the musicians and Plant play excellent conversation with Page's guitar (it seems induced by what the guitar says)
10:10 excellent JPJ change from now on
10:35 Robert Plant knows that the rise is coming !! with that AH !!!
10:45 the ascent to heaven !!!
10:55 the sky ... the stratosphere ... the universe !!
11:04 The second best part of the song (maximum speed of improvisation) JPJ great as always (seeing the 4 enjoying that part is super great ... excellent video shots !!)
11:45 dark improvisation and Plant accompanying vocally exquisite with the terrible base of Bonham and infernal JPJ !!! (Observe the screams of "MAMA" from plant to setback or against compass ... beauty !!)
12:10 The last rise of the song begins ... boham began to ring the cowbell (as if he warned that the train is coming)
12:30 docking your exquisite guitar from JIMMY !!
12:38 the super descent to all that improvisation storm !!! (watch all that speed and energy as they descend)
    12:46 Bonham !!
13:08 (the part that I like the most about the song !!) .... (Plant) how can we stop all this speed and energy in just 5 seconds ?? .. (JIMMY) leave it to me, I'll do it !!
13:15 Bonham puts the end to it with that huge hit to his drum kit !!!
13:44 the topic could end there perfectly !! but what happens is that they are LED ZEPPELIN ... AND IN THEIR BEST MOMENT and they give us another beautiful improvisation !! TALENTED GENIUSES
    14:14 delicious !!!
    14:48 mom ... mom ... magic ROBERT !!!
15:10 the final sacred cry and the end to all Zeppilian magic !!!!
15:30 the public bursts their hands clapping ... it is the least they can do ... they have just witnessed something very historic .. rarely will it happen again !!!

Saw them twice in the late 60’s. Unforgettable performances. 5 minute song on the album turned into 15 or 20 minutes live
