Great video, I own the Fender Strat that Porl is playing, It’s an original 1960 Strat, absolutely incredible guitar, the smoothest action you could imagine!!!
First major rock concert. Absolutely epic and life changing. Still can’t believe I got tickets. If my brother’s Rolling Stone hadn’t arrived that Friday I never would’ve known to check that tickets were going on sale the next day. Thanks for posting!
If you were born before 1970 and we're never able to see Zeppelin until this concert because Bonham died when I was 15 as I was getting on the bus going to school the bus driver told me I lost it when this concert was performed magical for sure even without John Bonham and John Paul
This is a great show....unique song selection.... i love they did "shake my tree", even though I wish plant would of put more into it....and playing "calling to you" from his fate of nations album was great....that was a really slept on record.
So surprised when they kicked into 'Shake My Tree', considering the history between Plant and Coverdale. Damn good song, though, although there are a couple I prefer off C/P.
I think he was just putting his spin on it. So it wouldn't be like he is trying cover Coverdale. It was pretty good, though, I would say. Plant doesn't use nearly as much processing of his vocals as Coverdale did.
@@Shane661 I think you are right but there's no reason not to do it like Coverdale because Coverdale was just covering him, so don't let someone take what you do well just because they're doing it if you do it better LOL
@@isaacshaver6218 I get your point. But in my opinion, Plant is like a fine athlete who adjusts his game over the years. A good example of this is how he varied his performances of Whole Lotta Love. He knows he is down an octave, but he adjusts his game to match his skillset perfectly. Look at the live performance of that song at Red Rocks. And as I say, Coverdale uses so much processing...I mean he dropped the mike in Japan, and the vocals kept playing. Now days he is trying to belt out vocals that he clearly cannot do, at my last check.
Classy for them to cover Lullaby by The Cure while Porl/Pearl was in the band. Of course, Robert Plant was actually a Cure fan when he ran into Robert Smith at a recording studio and asked him if he knew of anyone who could play in the band they were forming. Robert immediately recommended Porl as he grew up a huge Zep fan. That would be like me playing with The Cure, haha.
I didn’t see you in that place man., c’mon now. Stop lying 🤥 lolol Greetings from Boston Massachusetts Amerikkka quite obvious by this point in our sad history!
Blows the O2 out of the water. Pure class. Light and shade, daring arrangements, enthusiasm and all and all 😀 I really dig Shake My Tree and Lullaby has a certain later years Pearl Jam vibe in my ears.
I seen plant and page 2 nights in a row at Cincinnati next night in Indianapolis and sold my tickets to the Eagles that was on same night as Cincinnati could of went to see each but plant and page much better
I was there! Way in the back, on the floor. Incredible concert. Thank you for this.

@@tarynclark8011 Porl/Pearl sold all of his gear online.
I was there...top 5 concerts I've ever seen!
I saw the Montréal show, just amazing!
1:40:47 …the slow middle section of “carouselambra” replacing the normal bridge for “in the evening” was brilliant, and works so well!

"Swagger" ... silken Elfs of twilight
Is this DVD attainable now?
No but it's available on a double vinyl set.
Jimmy getting more comfortable.. as they continued touring the eventually dropped Porl because Jimmy had become able to handle all of it on his own
Unbelievable.
