Love this pod and have been subbed since you guys were under 5k subs and for whatever reason i never get notifications. I always have to specifically go to the channel to see if new vids are up. I get notifications for shorts or clips but not full episodes. When you have a livestream or premier, i get notification but not when a full episode is uploaded.

I live in wasilla Alaska, and the moose thing is totally normal. There was one that walked right into the main hospital in Anchorage and was eating the plants in the lobby. As long as you don’t get too close or taunt them they do not care. And you can just walk right past them lol.

I live by a Bistroplex, which is essentially a movie theatre and restaurant joint. The food isn’t very good, but the experience forrest described is literal heaven. The ultimate decompression. Watching a movie. No distractions. Beer and food. Just a magical evening!

They released an orca back into the wild ice before and it was never accepted into a pod. It ended up seeking out human company and unfortunately died of pneumonia shortly after its release.

If mysterious hoof prints are found, it's almost always a horse, not a zebra. It's the fracking, not the trough. Too many animals dead at once for a single trough to make sense.
I’m surprised nobody chose the body of a octopus or squid when you are taking care of a baby having extra hands will help.
On the elk thing, a herd of 100 elk will line up and drink out of a cattle pool if its a drought year, and being that they are a herd animal they usually have a leader and if that happens to be the first to lay down and die then the rest will bed down with it. So it is possible that they all died in one clearing while bedded together.

Lolita's mother is still alive and in the area she will be reintroduced to. And Lolita will be first held in an open pen allowing her to slowly reintegrate to the area before being truly released. It's going to be an amazing situation for researchn.v
They have literally tried doing this exact same fucking thing and it failed horribly. The orca will never find its family and after 50 years even if it does they won’t accept her. Not only that but the last time they did this the orca was so fucking lonely and miserable it would go to the shores looking for people to play with. But then people were told not to play with the orca and ignore it so the whale traveled into the arctic somewhere and died. They will spend more money on this lost cause than just letting the fuckin orca live in a pen in the ocean where it can Atleast see people and not be lonely. Either that or build it a bigger enclosure. This is why it’s so fucking wrong to steel orcas form the fucking wild.

I study Egyptology & Symbology. It's interesting hearing the mythos surrounding Nyami Nyami, as it bears similarities to the Egyptian God Khnum who presided over the Nile at the Cult Center of Elephantine. I worry less about the social acclimation than the physical one. This animal basically lived 50 years in the tropics and now you’re sending her back to an region that regularly falls below freezing. Orcas in captivity are controversial, however I fell in love with the species through going to SeaWorld in the middle of Ohio as a child, where o would never have had access to a personal interaction with them. We didn’t have the money to travel and go whale watching (though it’s a favorite hobby of mine now that I’m grown, live in NC, and travel to coastal cities often. That said, had SeaWorld Ohio never existed I might never have had the urge to see wild orcas. It changed my life, and I’m sure countless others had similar experiences.

They would be better off just building her a bigger enclosure. They literally already did this before. I think they spent like 40 million in the 80: to realize a captive orca and even though they found the orcas pod the pod wouldn’t accept it back in. So the orca lived a lonely life for like 5 years then died in the arctic

I immediately thought of my answear to the battle royale i would have chosen the head and intellect of a house cat, they seem pretty smart, they are cute and lick their young to keep them clean(this was the thing i thought least) also the body of an octopus, so it can clean up the house and just in general do 8 things at once, combined with the special ability of the cookie cutter shark's bioluminescence so when the baby is put to bed the bioluminescence will reflect on the ceiling and it will be soothing and relaxing for the baby( i know a lot of fish have bioluminescence but the only animal i can remember having it was the cookie cutter shark)
I hope she lives another 10-15 years and finds happiness
