Retep, cats are notoriously amazing at catching flying things. That tiger is going to eat your eagle like it’s a finch. If that massive teddy bear doesn’t just reach up and grab it from flying 500 feet in the sky first.
Once your main strategy is dead, the bear, kouprey, and the mastodon won’t even think about going deep enough to find that megaladon. Without your eagle to help him navigate to the right part of the coastal rendezvous, he’s just going to swim around and eat whatever he wants in the ocean like normal.
And Why would any of those land animals go deep enough to have to deal with a megaladon. I imagine they need reasonably deep water, and can’t come too close to the shallows, where land animals trying to kill each other, probably won’t go.

I’m sick of that as well, everything they taught has been proven wrong, and when anyone, literally anyone has a different idea they say it’s wrong when they are guessing themselves. I have been watching so much wild times Forrest showed up in one of my dreams as a coworker, I think because I always watch it during work.
Hey Forrest saw you on CBS Sunday morning talking about Finding the extinct Galapagos Tortoise yesterday. I got so excited pointing you out to my family my mother said you looked very tickled holding the tortoise lol. Some other guys had a video of a Ivory Bill Wood Pecker on the show which was cool.
Forrest, THANK YOU. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR DOG RANT. As someone who’s worked with dogs for 5 years it is SO frustrating when people get working breeds because they’re “cute” then their behavioral issues become my problem because they’re too lazy to meet their dogs energy requirements. Then they get kicked out of daycare because they weren’t socialized properly and become a danger to other dogs or staff, then the owner doesn’t know what to do, won’g pay for training, the dog bites someone and they get put down. I’ve seen this far too many times to count and it us so frustrating and infuriating. My job is to make a safe and constructive play group for your companions not be in a constant battle field where I’m trying to keep your dogs from mauling each other. Comes with the job though right? Well it shouldn’t. If people were more responsible about adopting or purchasing their dogs and fulfilled their needs I wouldn’t get 3 dog bites a week. I wouldn’t have to see dogs get out down. I wouldn’t have to kick dogs out of daycare. One of the daycares I used to work at had a mobile pet vet, they also handled government ordered euthanasias. The amount if dead dogs I’ve seen is horrific. To the point I had to leave that place and work somewhere else. I had my friend post on facebook the other day looking for a protection dog because she had a stalker and when I simply warned her about the care and training and what she was getting into and the things I’ve seen, she called me an attention whore and victim blamer. Well she bought an American Pitbull Terrier (a dog which I love by the way so this is in no way breed biased) yesterday that dog bit her child and shes getting that dog euthanized now. If she had done one second of research or simply LISTEN TO ME. That dog wouldn’t be facing a death sentence.
I want to punch people in the face when I walk past someone and their dog is not disciplined. I’m like why do u have a Germanshepherd for ur first dog in an apartment

Yrs ago...around mid 90s...there was definitely a black panther cruising the woods in south jersey ....my aunt seen it run infront of her car....and a buddy of mine had a deer hanging and heard some noise..went out and it was torn to shreads....event crazier story then that..when I was a small child.I grew up on a dirt road ..I was in the trail in the back of my house....and came face to face with a monkey with a baby on its back.....it was bigger then me ..I was 7...ran in and told my mom...they all laughed and said I was crazy for about 3 weeks...then a monkey was found with a baby on its back a few towns over...NJ is fucking weird...for example..a few other towns over..Humanzee a chimp named Arnold lived in blackwood NJ with a lady till it tried fucking her and she had to get rid of it....there is a documentary about that....I stand by word...NJ is fucking weird.....
On the subject of owls taking babies, some say the mobiles that are hung above babies cribs are simulating circling birds, vultures/eagles and babies stop crying or fussing when they see this so that they wouldn't get eaten.

Salties are 1500-2000lbs, silverback gorillas are 400-500lbs. If you had 30 crocodiles surrounding you, it would be a bony wall equipped with beartrap mouths. I don't know what any animal is doing in that situation.
I’m from Arkansas and for generations in my family they talk about stories of big cats. My grandma has seen tracks heard the blood curdling screams they make while on our family land and even my mom has seen one walk across a field tree line to tree line while deer hunting it was tan it wasn’t black though. Honestly growing up stories like that made me scared walking back from deer stands alone honestly could be a another factor in why I no longer hunt 😂😂. But I’m just saying I definitely believe we have them or maybe they just pass through sometimes..

One time my marine biologist camp counselors in front of everyone said Great White sharks have the strongest bite out of any animal then I corrected her with the Nile crocodile. He reply was quote "well that's not what google said." Then I never went back because they were very dumb. Also Pat every episode you look more and more like the person my dad would hate.

56:33 I am so with Forrest on this one!! Do not get a dog because it is cute, or looks big and bad or whatever. Get a dog that suits both your lifestyle and your purpose. I currently own a Rhodesian Ridgeback because an extended family member got him because the dog looks badass so it makes the owner look cool, and at about 4 months old the family living in a suburb of a major city couldn’t handle the dog so here I am owning a breed that I wouldn’t have otherwise chosen for myself just to keep him alive and out of a shelter. Add to that an absolutely never ending amount of training over the last 3.5 years. Research the breed, and not all the positive stuff either research the worst case scenario, before you get the dog.
My year ten math teacher didn’t know shit about math! She wouldn’t even teach us how to solve the problem because she didn’t even know how(even with a textbook). All she did was write the answers on the board. Word goes around, that she gave her year eight or nine class all the answers to the math test and she ended up getting fired because of it. We called her Shreaple (shrek pear and apple) 😂

Dude. I agree 10000000000000 percent about the dog owners. I judge people hard on how their dog or pet acts. Shows a lot of how they control their own life. And how they impact others. Totally agree. I do not like people who don't train their animal and buy pets JUST FOR THEIR OWN EMOTIONS. They disregard that the animal has a heart and a life too.

If you don’t have kids, and you also have a busy job don’t get a dog. It’s ridiculous they need time and I grew up with a black lab that would tromp with me through the woods, save me when I drifted out on a log on a lake, I’d sing with her when we were home alone. It was the best. Also had a cat that would walk with me in the woods, protect me from the squirrels that would bark at me, tried to sneak onto the bus with me ninja holding onto my backpack.
When I get my own house with a yard n hopefully woods I want to give my kids though experiences.

so to possibly answer forests question about how we got through Africa and stuff when our babies would cry id like to ask a rhetorical question. have you ever wondered why people pass out when they see blood? turns out its more prominent in women and children and they started tracing it back if I remember right and correlated that with areas that we believe had active human interactions like clan wars and what not, basically they think its a defense mechanism built into some people over time so that when someone would get attacked or something they would pass out and sometimes not be attacked as they were assumed dead. i wonder if there is a similar trait which children that don't cry very much and have heritage in places with large predators

My ex's Jack Russell terrier was an awesome and loving dog, but he'd charge either one of us if we motorboated each other. Weird stuff. Also my brother's cat, the only cat I've seen drool and keel over when you locked eyes for scratchies (so basically a dog) would attack if I started breathing too fast through the nose.
I've also been called annoying as fuck by humans, not sure if there's a common factor there.
I know I'm way late to this stream but I just gotta say megalodon is not from the time of dinosaurs it's main source of food was whales and there was no large mammals in the time of the dinosaurs it's from in between that time and the ice age
