I’m having great prints from the K1 there was an initial issue with the extrusion but I realized the motors bracket is plastic, so you have to give it another tighten before your on your go. And you can put the filament tube back to where it’s supposed to go, the problem everyone’s been having is just the motor on the extruder is not tightened.
You got a good one! On my K1, two of the bed mounting screws fell out during the benchy test print... wobbly bed = not a good benchy LOL. Fortunately it was an easy fix!
Did you have the extruder issue, I did watch your review but I have seen so many I cant remember who had which issues? the cable chain was hitting the extruder arm and disengaging the gears, only a slight movement was required to do this, Creality said they were going to fix this but from what I can acertain it has not been implemented, the extruder arm does not have a spring or a ratchet mechanism to keep the gears tight to the filament.
@@AndrewAHayes No extruder issue for me, but, that said, I became an "expert" in disassembling the hot end due to an error made by me when removing filament LOL. I had a chunk stuck in the heat break and had to disassemble the unit. It wasn't straight forward, but now that I know how, it's quite easy LOL.
I was about to pre-order K1 right after the presentation, I had couple of questions which I asked in an e-mail and creality facebook account. I searched around and found a lot of feedbacks for their poor customer support and high amount of defects on their printers. I waited for a week or so and unfortunately Creality never got back to me and those question never got answered, so I ordered Sovol sv06+ which was twice cheaper and had a lot of good reviews. I'm pretty happy with my sv06+, yes It's much slower, but the print quality is amazing.
@@Jason-yn6oy yes not comparable but not what he said. He didn't compare them he's just pointing out that creality customer service sucks and upon that he decided not to buy the machine.
@@nindotech3dprintingcreatio313 but he did . He directly compared the price "it's twice cheaper" So is an ender 3v2. Apples and Oranges. If you don't like the overseas support of a company, buy through a local reseller that supports you directly.
@@Jason-yn6oynot comparable, but sv06+ is bigger, cheaper, parts are cheap, fully open source, gets fairly close to same speeds before adding klipper, arguably better extruder, and customer service eventually answers.
Watch out for the latch on the extruder - seems like a lot of other users are finding that it gets hit by the cable chain or just doesn't stay fully latched in general. There are also reports of the PTFE tube needing to be pulled out of the cable chain near the extruder in order to improve the filament path as the bend is quite tight.
Thank you for the very informative video and very clear and articulate presentation. I'll be printing more parts for my online business soon so I'm considering the faster K1 Max so I can print in 0.1 mm layer height to get awesome quality prints but a lot faster than my current bed slinger, and the larger build volume will allow me to generate G code that prints multiple parts sequentially for faster mini print farm production. I'll wait a few months for the K1 teething problems to be resolved, either by Creality or by the community.
My experience was a little different, I found that there is no toll-free support phone number to call, you have to use chat support. I had 4 different incognito support chat windows open since the morning which extended passed 1 in the afternoon and all chats auto closed on me and asked me to leave an email instead. I am a cyber security person by day and I have to say their support is negatively impactful and you might as well have a brick for a printer WHEN it malfunctions. Great features and all but not if they don't work.
good review, I had the X1 returned it printer failed to print had issues and all that wasted PLA just to color a model *think I just stay with airbrush and paint brushes. Looking at this there a riser on pintables to raise the lid I hope someone would make a top hat that has the spool holder on it for PLA printing
@@3DPrintingCanada ok thanks for the reply. I’m torn between the bambu lab p1p or X1 and k1 max. I’m sure the p1p will be a better printer but the larger print volume of the k1 max is really appealing.
I dont like the Creality Print app that has to be used, you cant even set a global print speed Creality claim it is self-developed when it is pretty clear that it is a Cura fork and a bad one at that! I wonder if they have breached the licence by claiming it is self developed, I know they have breached licences and even stolen software in the past.
@@JZEFPV resembles in what way? It's the size of the p1p, doesn't have the lidar nor the multimaterial add on of the x1c. It just so happens to be enclosed from the get-go like the x1
@@Jason-yn6oy the p1p and x1c have the same size print volume, and are basically the same printers aside from the enclosure, screen and LiDAR, and the AMS works for both the p1p and the x1. LiDAR is an optional component on the k1, but it’s not optional on the p1p, nor is the color touch screen. So basically the only differentiating feature between the k1 and x1 is the AMS. But that’s also a differentiator between the k1 and the p1p.

Creality K1max should be sub 1k Canadian now. The us Re sellers are at 950 Cad. today. I can wait.
It looks awesome, and really high-speed! It will save time in printing! I would like to try one. Nice introduction!

With single-nozzle multicolour there will always be some purge waste. Using things like infill to bleed it out helps quite a bit.
Any ETA on the K1 max?

That front glass would bother me so much. I would reroute the LCD to the top and replace the glass because that notch bugs me. lol
I agree, the notch bothers me too for no real reason...it just does. Lol. Totally unnecessary design choice imo

This isn’t a Bambu competitor as much as it’s Creality reverse engineering everything that is Bambu. Even the screens are the same
The screen on the p1p is nothing like this screen.
