    I have the K1 and so far love it. Everyone complains of the fan noise. If you have a fan you have noise.The more air you move the more noise you have. My printer is in a room cooler than usual and I print with the top on and the noise is quite a bit less. If you can keep the chamber temperature below 30 degrees you will have no problems with any of the PLA filaments. That is my experience but like always results vary from person to person. Good printing.

      I keep mine in my garage, so the fan noise doesn't bother me. Also I know that since it is a core xy moving very fast, it makes noise and that's the nature of the beast. I put hinges on m y lid so I can open it up when printing PLA so heat creep doesn't happen. I really like this printer.

    Great review, I am planning on purchasing another machine this year, I'm just waiting to see how all this shakes out. The K1 is on the list, as well as the X1Carbon but a huge difference in price there, but the multi color ability is very cool. So until the decision I'll continue to use my old ender3, which still works. Thanks so much for sharing with us!!

    Is there a recommended process for cleaning dust/bugs out that may accumulate in a shop environment? I noticed this isn't a perfectly sealed unit so it'd definitely going to get dusty in there.

    Nice review, Guy! I own the Bambu X1 Carbon with AMS along with 11 Artillery SWX2's that are in my print farm. Unfortunately, the build volume on the K1 is a deal breaker for me as it's just too small for what I print. My Sidewinders run on average at 150mm/s all day every day, and I easily get 300mm/s out of the X1C. This new generation of printers is quite a leap in technology from my SWX2's, which really aren't that old. I truly am looking forward to seeing what 3D printing is bringing in the future.
    While I don't think the K1 is quite there yet, they did hit about 85% of what the Bambu Labs P1P is, and as a hobbyist machine, it is definitely head and shoulders above what other manufacturers have to offer in the industry. As always, I look forward to your next video, and I'll be checking out your podcast!

    Awesome revirew Guy, thank you for the video. If you don't mind me asking, do you have any suggestions on reducing the k1's noise? I don't mind reducing the speed if I can reduce the noise enough to use on my home office while in a meeting, for example. I tried reducing both side fan and model fan to 50% but it still is pretty loud. I tried a 75% model fan and 0% side fan setting but now the machine movements are too loud lol, even though I reduced speeds and acceleration D:
    Anyways, sorry for the rambling, thank you again for the honest review and for the tip about using a cht nozzle, I'm definitely upgrading mine with one.

      If the sound is an issue, print ABS with the doors closed and slow down the fans and speed. Get an activated charcol filter for the fan in the back to deal with the smell. That's abouot the only thing I can think of. My P1P is pretty noisy as well. I Think it is a common issue with the Core XY printers.

  • @ZombieNavy

    My issue and only gripe is with the right side lead screw. I have about 1.44-1.46mm of play. Other than that haven’t had any issues with extrusion. Because of the play I’m unable to print

    It's good that that nozzle makes the machine work, but I shouldn't have to spend an extra cent on a $700 machine( for me) to make it work as advertised!
    The 3d community needs to stop taking crap from the manufacturers, sure you might have bought an ender 3 for $100, but now we're talking machines up to and over $1000.

    • @GuysShop
      @GuysShop  Год назад

      You don't have to spend an extra cent. You can either just take the bowden tube out of the cable chain or use the super special creality filament. I get what you're saying about it though, and I agree with you. I am just letting others know my experiences with it, and how to remedy the situation.

    • @dejedejsson
      @dejedejsson Год назад

      Well, if I take the bowden tube out of the cable chain, I have to print another part so the tube doesn't scratch the top cover, you see ,stop fixing the manufacturer's problem otherwise 3d printing will never become a consumer product and that seems to be the manufacturers' wish anyway
