More and more with social media being how we share things, I think a video snapshot is great, and rather than worry about getting a picture of the perfect moment, get a video and get all the moments. I think dedicated stills from a DSLR standpoint not specifically the BlackMagic is when you need high res, high quality for print, or your working with flashes, or specific shutter speeds to control exposure and blur. For me just doing this as a hobby, I think video stills is for sure my preferred way to go.
Great , Deep & Smart Talk .. I will buy bmpcc only bcoz of you , as I want to take photos also not only video and I agree with every single word that the future will be with cinema cameras not digital ones Thank u so much
I only trust people that talk about cine cameras and post production if their videos look good and MAN your recording and post on this is incredible. So many others preach about production and can't produce a decent youtube video. Makes no sense. Thank you.
I use my bmpcc 6k in 50fps to capture stills. It helps capture small movement in the image. My only issue is that sometimes some images can be a bit too soft or blurry like so you have to increase sharpness in post.
I've been using a 6k Pro for some photography and I'm having a similar experience. I'm shooting photos by rolling 6k raw video. It's very close to a professional camera. And if you wanted video and photos, now you have both - and that's AMAZING.
Totally Agree. I thought I was the only one thinking this. I shoot photography but coming over to video for youtube has opened my eyes and you see the merging going on. Will see what happens to a few of the photography centric systems but my guess moving forward they are going to have a rough time.
If you're familiar with the Lucid Dream cars, the photography on their website looks so cinematic, I often think those "photos" were actually stills extracted off a RED/ARRI camera. Would I be wrong?
@@CINENIMUS So what you’re saying is more and more brands adopt a cinematic style photography? Cause I see this more often than not in the automotive editorial photography.
Even your talking head setup looks suuuper good! Best channel discovery of the evening!
Bruh, it was his talking setup that brought me here too! Not even my shed looks this great let alone me pulling off this awesome shot!

100%
I'm going through this thought process and I'm glad to see that I'm not alone even if I'm one year late it seems 🤔
i am planning to buy the 6k and sirui anamorphic and use for both photos and video ... hope it works
I used the 4k with the 1.33 from Sirui and they are some of my favorite photos I've ever taken.

I can see how approaching a shot as a still can also help me shoot better video. Great tips! So happy I have a BMPCC6K.
Good video, thank you.

When you use the dedicated button or grab a still, do you keep the 16:9 Ar or crop to 3:2? This images are beautiful sir.

It's not that long ago when the current "cinematic" style was invented in general 😅
